Agranulocytosis, one of the major side effects of antithyroid a gents, probably occurs in less than 0.25% of cases treated with antithyroid agents. It usually occurs within the first several weeks or months after the initiation of therapy, when drug dosage is higher. Most reported cases of agranulocytosis have occurred during the first 3 months of therapy. We describe here a rare case that did not experience the side effect for 6 years of antithyroid agent treatment but presented with agranulocytosis in one month after re-exposure. It suggests that the major side effect such as agranulocytosis can occur in patients who had undergone prior uneventful antithyroid drug therapy.

Carcinoid tumors have been reported in a wide range of organs but most commonly involve the lungs, bronchi and gastrointestinal tract. Within the gastrointestinal tract, appendix is the most common location for carcinoid, followed by the distal small intestine, the rectum, and the stomach. Among these, primary involvement of the ampulla of Vater is extremely rare. We report a case of carcinoid tumor of ampulla of Vater. A 62-year-old man presented with epigastric soreness. Gastroduodenal endoscopy showed hyperemic bulging mass on ampulla of Vater and diagnosed as carcinoid tumor by histologic finding, with immunohistochemical study. In ^(111)In-octreoscan, tumor had regional lymph node metastasis, but no evidence of distant metastasis. Pancreatoduodenectomy with lymph node dissection was performed.

참당귀의 흰쥐 4-Vessel Occlusion 전뇌허혈에 대한 신경방어효과

Objectives : Angelicae Radix, the root of Angelica gigas N_AKAI (Umbelliferae) , which has been used to nourish the blood(補血), regulate menstruation(調經), relieve pain and promote bowel movements(崩漏) and activate blood circulation for the treatment of fatigue, headache, constipation and blood troubles in traditional Korean medicine. It's flavour and channel tropism is sweet(甘), pungent(辛), warm(溫), acting on the lung, heart and spleen(肺, 心, 脾). The purpose of study we report here was to determine the neuroprotective effect of Angelica gigas on global ischemia induced by 4-vessel occlusion in Wistar rats. Methods : Angelica gigas extracts was lyphilized after extraction with 85% methanol. We induced 4-VO for 10 minutes and reperfused again. The number of CA1 pyramidal neurons were counted after 7 days of reperfusion under the cresyl violet staining. Results : The results showed that Angelica gigas had significantly neuroprotective effects (100, 250 and 500mg/kg of AR extracts, p<0.001) compared with control group. Each neuroprotective ratio was about 66.1, 79.3 and 78.6% respectively. Immunohistochemical data partially explained the protective effects of Angelica gigas via attenuation of COX-2 induction in hippocampus. Conclusion : Angelica gigas gas neuroprotective effects on the global ischemia induced by 4-vessel occlusion in Wistar rats and the attenuation of COX-2 induction is thought to be its possible mechanism.

As considered the cultural level of a given society, the social role of museum has important meanings in light of public education and enlightenment. Fortunately, many private enterprises has joined in establishing museum since 1980 for encouraging business enthusiasm, maturing business ethics, finding the history of one's entrepre new, and strentherning member's solidarities. The purpose of this study is to analyzing the museum on Korean commercial history. In this context, the writer intends to introduce and examine the 'commercial museum of Shin Se Gae Department store' which was recently opened one. The first ground of the museum(the compartment for Korean commercial development history from ancient times to Japanese Imperialistic periods, due on the concept of ancient, medieval, and modern times. Especially the ground displays such history of capitalism as a sprout and forming of modern capitalism, and development of contemporary capitalism. The second floor of the museum demonstrates 'The history of distribution industry' and the development history of Shin Se Gae Department store. On Considering its new and dynamic - methodological approach and technology as compared previous ones, it is evident that the museum will be an important exemplar.

한국산 길쭉먼지벌레족의 수리분류(Ⅱ)

韓國産 길쭉먼지벌레族을 대상으로 "NC" 값을 인정하지 않은 상태에서 定性的 形態形質을 根據로 表現論的 數理分類方式을 利用한 群分析을 실시하였다. 그 結果, 비록 일부 種에서는 傳統分類 結果와 다소 一致하지 않은 경우도 있었으나 대부분 經驗的 分類와 類似한 傾向을 나타내었다. 그리고 대부분 種들이 期待한 屬 또는 亞屬내에 分布하였다. A numerical taxonomy based on the phenetic characters of 59 Korean Pterostichini species is conducted to determine the effect on the assessment of the 7 different methods combined by 3 similarity or dissimilarity coefficients. using 87 morphological multistate characters.

The purpose of this study was to investigate differences of the physical fitness and the cardiorelpiratory function between some trained Golf, Ice-Hockey and Soccer players. The subject are 12 person, repectly. I adopted the physical test and used bicycle-ergometer to understand the effect to know the physical fitness and developing states of the sampled young students. 1.Physical fitness 1)In factors of grip strength(right, left), back strength, arm sterength flexion(right, left), arm sterength extension(right. left), leg sterength flexion(right, left) and leg strength extension(Belt) It showed that were not any remarkable difference between Golf, Ice-Hockey and Soccer group at rest and maximum exorcise. 2)In factors of showed in Soccer player 117.95±17.89kg, Ice-Hockey player 98.13±12.41kg, Golf player 92.65±18.86kg. Among these group there was significantly(P<.01). 3)In factors of leg srength extension(right) showed in Soccer player 59.80± 7.04kg. Ice-Hockey player 58.75±7.47kg, Golf playel 51.30±10.13kg. Among these group there was significantly(p<.05). 4)In factors of sit-up showed in Soccer player 59.00±7.77n/min, Ice-Hockey player 51.25±11.27n/min, Golf player 42.20±7.94n/min, Among these group there was significantly(p<.01). 5)In factors of sargent jump showed in Soccer player 50.70±4.99cm, Ice-Hockey player 45.42±5.12cm. Golf player 43.00±3.02cm. Among these gruop there was significantly(p.<.01). 6)In facotors of trunk flexion showed in Soccer player 17.40±5.58cm, Ice-Hockey player 11.67±8.14cm, Golf player 9.80±4.44cm, Among these group there was a notable difference(p<.001). 7)In factors of trunk flexion showed in Soccer player 17.40±5.58cm. Soccer group at rest and maximum exorcise. 2)In maximum RR, It showed that there was a significant difference(p<.05) between Golf player 52.80 ± 8.02n/m. Ice-Hockey player 52.80± 8.02n/m. Soccer player 62.70± 6.99n/m. 3)In maximum HR. It showed that there were not any remarkable difference between Golf player 195.90± 11.67 beats/min 4)In maximum O2 pulse, It showed that there was a significant differences(p<.05)between Golf player 14.17±2.55ml/beats. Ice-Hockey player 17.47±3.44ml/beats, Soccer player 17.02±2.62ml/bea1s. 6)In maximum VO2, It showed that there was a significant difference(P<.05) between Golf player 2765.70±470.701/min. Ice-Hockey player 3274.42±621.881/min, Soccer player 3200.60±468.601/min. 7)In maximum VO2/W, It showed that there was a significant difference(p<.01) between Golf player 50.91±7.48ml/kg/min, 50.91±7.48ml/kg/min.

We had a result of the treatment as below when is devided Korean medicine Tx.. Western medical Tx., Cooperative Tx.. 1) At the improvement of BP control, an average in Korean medicine Tx. (from 170㎜Hg/100㎜Hg to 150㎜Hg/90㎜Hg), an average in Western medical Tr. (from 170㎜Hg/100㎜Hg to 130㎜Hg/80㎜Hg), an average in Cooperative Tx.(from 180㎜Hg/110㎜Hg to 130㎜Hg/90㎜Hg), generally all pars had improvements of BP control. But it is not significant of each case. 2) At the improvement of symptoms by the apologetics, Cooperative Tx. is profitable in cases of 'GanHwa',' DamEum', 'EumYangYangHer', 'EumHer'. Korean medicine Tx. is superior in case of 'GiChe'. 3) At the improvement of symptoms by a questionnaire, Korean medical Tx., Western medical Tx., Cooperative Tx. groups had improvements, but each practice group didn't have specific significance. Only it was somewhat profitable to Korean medical Tx. in the 210㎜Hg/110㎜Hg, Western medical Tx. in the 180㎜Hg/110㎜Hg, Cooperative Tx, in the 170㎜Hg/90㎜ Hg. 4) There are the apparent improvements in patients whose BP are over 200㎜Hg of Korean medical Tx. group, whose BP are over 190㎜Hg of Western medical Tx. group and whose BP are over 170㎜Mg of Cooperative Tx. group. There are the improvement of diastolic BP in 110㎜Mg(Korean medical Tx., Western medical Tx.) and 90㎜Hg(Cooperative Tx.). 5) At the improvement of Pulse pressure, generally Pulse pressure are decreased. There are similar improvements in all of Korean medical Tx., Western medical Tx., and Cooperative Tx.. 6) At the Symptomatic approvement according to ages, Korean medical Tx., Cooperative Tx. are somewhat good for his twentieth, and Western medical Tx. is somewhat good for his forties. 7) the correlation of Obesity-grade and BP, as Obesity-grade is higher as BP is higher, but there are no similarity in the improvement. 8) At the EAV improvements, as examination into correlation with the point of 1~3th, we could get results as below. There are high improvements of DRHTM, DRALM, DLLYM, DLLIM in Cooperative Tx. There are high improvements of DRPASI, DLLARI in the Korean medical Tx. group. There are high improvements of DRFADM in Western medical Tx. group.

1) Comparison of Ice hocky players' individuality index As for the middle school players, truth index showed from 3.00 to 3.75 in order of goal keeper, attacker, defense. In case of introversion & extroversion index, it showed from 12.25 to 13.57 in order of attack player, defense player, goal keeper. And the eurotic trend showed from 8.25 to 12.04 in order of attack player, defense player, goal keeper. As for the high school players, truth index showed from 2.05 to 3.15 in order of attack player, defense player, goal keeper. In case of introversion & extroversion index, it showed from 12.50 to 14.63 in order of attacker, defense, goal keeper. And the eurotic trend showed from 12.83 to 14.60 in order of defense, attacker, goal keeper. In the analysis of their temperaments, the goal keeper and defense player of middle school revealed well sanguine temperaments. The attack player was a person of bilious temperament. The goal keeper in high school was a person mainly of a sanguine temperament and phlegmatic temperament and attacker and defense player were people of bilious temperament. Generally this analysis showed that in case of middle school, a sanguine temperament, a bilious temperament, a phlegmatic temperament, and a melancholiac temperament were orderly distributed and in case of high school, a bilious temperament, a sanguine temperament, a melancholiac temperament and a phlegmatic temperament were orderly distributed. 2) Ice hocky players' individuality index in their position In case of a goal keeper, it showed that the range of truth index was from 2.50 to 3.75 and introversion & extroversion index ranged from 12.25 to 12.50 and eurotic trend from 8.25 to 12.83. In case of attacker, 3.12 to 3.15, introversion & extroversion index from 13.72 to 14.63. and eurotic trend from 12.04 to 13.88. In case of defense player, truth index ranged from 2.91 to 3.00, introversion & extroversion index from 13.57 to 13.64. and eurotic trend from 11.07 to 14.60. The analysis of temperaments showed that a sanguine temperament mostly appeared in a goal keeper and bilious temperament was mainly revealed in a attack and a defense player.

This study is aimed for making clear what kind of superior elements could effect on oontent of games. Analyzising the content of games through data gained by the method of video tape, with sample of 10 male and 10 female athletes of excellent group compared to same number of general group in the games of 1996 French Open and 1997 Australian Open, we are able to provide athletes and their conductors will helpful data. This we had reached conclusions as follow: 1.In comparison of group case, the first service success rate is at male excellent group 58.03% and general group 58.03% and general group 61.89%. at female excellent group 64.43% and general group 66.35%. Non significant difference appeared in term. 2.In comparison of Group case the second service success rate is at male excellent group 89.99% and general group 90.55% and female excellent group 90.55% and general 90.55% and general group 88.17%, Non significant difference appeared in term. 3.In comparison of Group case The acquired point rate after success filst service is at male excellent group 77.53% and general group 68.75% Non significant difference appeared in term at female excellent group 67.30% and general group 57.69%, Significant difference appeared in term(P<.05). 4.In comparison of Group case The acquired point rate aftar success second service is at male excellent group 60.55% and general group 57.39% at female excellent group 51.62% and general group 52.86%. Non significant difference appeared in term. 5.In comparison of Group case Double fault rate is at male excellent group 10.01% and general group 9.45% at female excellent group 9.45% and general group with rate of 11.83%, Non significant difference appeared in term. 6.In comparison of Group case Service Ace success rate is at male excellent group 7.94% and general group 3.89% at female excellent group 1.74% and general ground 1.40%, Non significant difference appeared in term. 7.In comparison of Group case Break point success rate is at male excellent group 47.31% and general group 37.55% at female excellent group 55.36% and general group 51.45%. Non significant difference appeared in term, 8.In comparison of Group case Unforce Errors result is at male excellent group 20.69% and general group 25.30%.
