This paper is intended to study 〈Jumong Myth〉 which's written by many writers newly. It seems to me that there are characters which are represented images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 in their works. First of all, it seems that they showed aspects of Jumong or Yoohwa as the Hero of the founder or the Hero's supporter of wisdom in their poems 『Dongmaeng』 and 『The Four Pillars and Eight Characters of Go, Ju-mong as the founder of Goguryeo Dongmyeongsungwang』by Seo, Jeong-ju, 『Lady Yoohwa』by Song Su-kwon and 『The sky of Jumong』 by Yoon Keum-cho. Only Seo‘s characters are expressed a destiny and a right but Song and Yoon's are represented the Hero itself in the narrative process through agony of realities. The secondly, it seems that Lee, Kwang-su showed aspects of Jumong as a so n?a husband?a father through the life of the Hero in his work 『Dongmyeongwang of love』. And Song Ha-chun showed aspects of Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 through a woman as a unusual birth of process and preservation of life in his work 『Daughters of Haback』. In conclusion, it seems that their works either poems or novels are represented and recreated various images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉.

Protective Effect of Curcumin and Aqueous Extract of Onchengyeum on CCl_(4)-induced Hepatotoxicity

An aqueous extract of oriental herbal composition named Onchengyeum and curcumin, an antioxidant isolated from turmeric (Curcuma longa Linné) reduced hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_(4)). Improved liver function was observed by measuring the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CRE), total cholesterol (TCHO), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-CHO), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB) and total bilirubin (BIL) in serum. Hepatic parameters monitored were levels of cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and content of cytochrome P450 (CYP), level of glutathione (GSH), activities of NADPH-CYP reductase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). The histopathological examination showed that the treatment of Onchengyeum and curcumin relieved the ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes which had been generated by CCl_(4). The results suggested that hepatoprotective effects of Onchengyeum and curcumin possibly are due to their promising antioxidative activity.

Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

20세기 초 이탈리아의 실험예술 의상에 관한 연구

This study concentrates on the relationship between the early 20th century Italian artists and their works in the field of clothing design. They advocated the creation of art for lif? and introduced a new type of work of art which I will call 'experimental clothing far art'. The experimental clothing far art showed its dynamic characteristics in the fields of line and farm, color, pattern, and material. The Italian artists made simple and functionalistic dresses, using asymmetric, geometric cuts in patters making. They employed dynamic patterns in textile design and favored brilliant colors which they debunked as stodge and traditional. With regard to material, they used unusual materials such as metal, net, wire, and paper and inexpensive materials. The investigations of the visual expression of experimental clothing for art in Italy have led us to the internal expressions which are avant-garde, dynamic & speed, functionality & popularity, ephemeral & transformable, and warlike. As a result of the reflection of the times and the artists' will and roles the experimental clothing for art in Italy implicated contemporary clothing in the early twentieth century and it was only laboratory art that underwent various experiments in canvas but a model of efferts for the art of living, which was anti-traditional, It offered a new future and created a new environment.

濟州道內 保健診療員들의 職務滿足度에 관한 調査硏究

The purposes of this study were to investigate the state of job satisfaction of primary nurses in Cheju, and to provide basic data to achieve higher satisfaction for primary nures and for their clients. The subiects of this study were comprised of 40 primary health nurses in Cheju. The instrument used. in this study was lob Satisfaction Questionnaire developed by Slavitt and modified by researcher: Data were collected from the 7th to the 23rd of December, 1991 by means of questionnaire. The data were analyzed by t-test and oneway ANOVA. The results of this study may be summarized as follows. 1. The overall mean score for the 31 five point scale of job sattisfaction items was 2.95 showing that the subjects of this study were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied in their jobs. 2. The 31 items of job satisfaction were divided into 6 areas to identify the specific job related factors. The highest specific job related factor resulted in job satisfaction was the role related factor and the lowest job related factor resulted in job satisfaction was the compensation related factor. 3. It was found that the relationship between the job satisfaction and the sujects' sex, the relationship between the number of years of work in primary health center and the autonomy related factor, the relationship between the type of religion and the task related factor, and the relationship between the sex and the role related factor were statistically significant at .05 level.

This paper deals with directions for the administrative system development in response to the changing administrative demands of Kunsan City in the twenty-first century. To satisfy a lot of administrative demands and function as a central city of the Ring-Yellow-Sea economic bloc, the administration of Kunsan City should improve its productivity, the quality of citizens' life, democracy in the administrative process, and responsiveness to the changing environment. And it has to enforce its regional competitiveness, satisfy customer needs, and enhance the ability to take preventive measures against calamities as well as to negotiate with other self-governing bodies.

새로운 연노출의 효과지표로서의 혈장 δ-aminolevulinic acid 측정의 유용성

To evaluate the usefulness of the measurement of plasma δ - aminolevulinic acid (ALAP) as a new effect indicator of lead exposure, the association of ALAP with blood lead, DMSA chelatable lead and bone lead with a special emphasis of genetic interaction of ALAD polymorphism was studied with 419 lead exposed workers and 85 non-lead exposed workers. Lead workers were recruited from storage battery industries, secondary smelting industries and other lead using industries and non-lead workers selected from electronic refrigerator manufacturing industry. Blood lead, DMSA chelatable lead and bone lead were chosen for parameters of lead exposure. Plasma and urinary ALA were selected for the effect parameter of lead intoxication. Information for age, smoking, drinking habit and body mass index were also obtained. Job duration for lead workers was also collected. The overall prevalence of the variant allele, ALAD type 1-2 or 2-2(ALAD2) in lead exposed workers was 10.0% (42 out of 419 lead workers) which was not differed from control workers (9.4% : 8 out of 85). The means blood lead and DMSA chelatable lead of lead workers with ALAD 1(ALAD type 1-1) were lower than those of lead workers with ALAD2, but the differences were not statistically significant. On the other hand, the mean of tibia lead of lead workers with ALADI was higher than that of lead workers with ALAD2, but the difference was not statistically significant. DMSA chelatable lead showed highest correlation with log transformed plasma ALA(LALAP)(r=0.682) and blood lead and tibia lead had r=0.650, r=0,402 correlation coefficient with LALAP respectively On the other hand. log transformed urinary ALA(LALAU) had lower correlation coefficient with all three parameters of lead exposure than LALAP. The equation of robustic simple linear regression of blood lead on LALAP was LALAP=2.0439+0.0165PbB in ALADI lead workers and LALAP=2.031+0.0121PbB in ALAD2 lead workers. ALAD genotype in the multiple regression analysis of blood lead with LALAP after adjusting for possible confounders(sex, ago, BMI, smoking and drinking status and job duration) showed significant main effect on LALAP resulting lower LALAP in ALAD2 lead workers than ALADI lead workers. On the other hand, effect modification of ALAD genotype was observed in the multiple regression analysis of tibia lead with LALAP after adjusting for possible confounders, but there was no significant effect of ALAD genotype in the multiple regression analysis of DMSA chelatable lead with LALAP after covariate adjustment. With above results, plasma ALA was found to be a useful effect parameter of lead exposure compared with urinary ALA. It was also observed that ALAD polymorphism made significant effect on the association of blood and tibia lead with ALAP. Thc lower plasma ALA in ALAD2 lead workers suggested supportive effect of ALAD2 in lead exposure.
