Impact of Safety Worker Behavior and Safety Climate as Mediator and Safety Training as Moderator on Safety Performance in Construction Firms in Nepal

Dinesh Sukamani,Junwu Wang,Manita Kusi 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.5

The study targeted to find the pragmatic relation on mediating role of Safety Climate (SCL) and Safety Worker Behavior (SWB), and moderating role of Safety Training (ST) for better Safety Performance (SP). The target area of the study is on construction firms in developing countries like Nepal. A structured questionnaire tool was applied to conduct the survey. Out of 350 response targets, only 293 respondent’s data were analyzed using statistic SPSS 23 and were empirically tested using AMOS 23. The analysis explored complementary partial mediation of the mediating variable SCL and SWB between Safety Culture (SCU) and Safety Performance (SP). Besides, the study also showed how ST moderated the relation between SWB & SP and justified the insignificant moderation role of ST on relation between SCL& SP. This research shed the light on the mediating impact of SCL and SWB adding the moderation relation of ST on the effective safety performance in the construction firms. Besides, this industrial approach research will widen and improve the literature of SP in construction firms in developing nations in modernizing the policy. Consequently, this study would widen the knowledge of policymakers prompting effective safety performance in the construction project.

Microstructure and Current Carrying Wear Behaviors of Copper/Sintered–Carbon Composites for Pantograph Sliders

        Yaochuan Li,Jianxiang Huang,Man Wang,Junwu Liu,Chengyong Wang,Honghai Zhong,Yang Jiang 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.9

Neoteric copper/sintered–carbon (Cu/SC) composites for pantograph sliders were produced with the method of pressure infiltration. The friction and wear behaviors with or without current and mechanical performances of Cu/SC composites showedthat graphite acted dual effects on Cu/SC, that is, with the addition content of graphite, the electrical conductivity of carbonmatrices increased while the mechanical properties decreased. The friction coefficient and the wear rate decreased with theincrease of the graphite content on dry sliding wear test, and the minimum friction coeffient was only 0.096. Meanwhile, the friction coefficient increased first and then decreased with the current increse, while the wear rate just kept increasing. Scanning electron micrographs revealed a grid-like distribution of copper in the Cu/SC composites. Futhermore, throughobservation and analysis, it was found that Cu/SC composites of pantograph sliders were dominated by adhesive wear andcorrosive wear respectively under two different currents of 5 A and 15 A.

      • Multi-objective Integration of Flexible Collaborative Planning and Fuzzy Flexible Lot-Splitting Scheduling Based on the Pareto Optimal

        Zhenqiang Bao,Xiaoqing Ren,Yulu Yang,Junwu Zhu,Cheng Wang,Richao Yin 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.7

Since that a job usually contains several working procedures in actual production, and it’s hard to optimize the flexible collaborative planning, the flexible lot splitting and scheduling of the job simultaneously in batch production mode, a model for multi-objective integration of flexible collaborative planning and fuzzy lot-splitting scheduling is established. We take four performance indicators below which are the most common as standards to optimize the model: average delivery satisfaction, fuzzy total cost, fuzzy completion time and average credibility of job tardiness, and then a multi-objective algorithm based on the Pareto optimal is established. In this algorithm, we design the integrated coding scheme, which include collaboration chromosome, lot-splitting chromosome and scheduling chromosome, meanwhile the Pareto optimal scheme is designed. Finally, the efficiency of the model and algorithm is proved by the simulation.

Synthesis of coryphantha elephantidens-like SnO2 nanospheres and their gas sensing properties

        Xiao-xue Lian,Yan Li,Junwu Zhu,Yun-ling Zou,Xiulin Liu,Dongmin An,Qiong Wang 한국물리학회 2019 Current Applied Physics Vol.19 No.7

In this work, coryphantha elephantidens-like SnO2 with porous structures were prepared successfully by a simple hydrothermal route, through adjusting the temperature of hydrotherm. Its morphology was characterized by Xray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET). Compared to the regular nanospheres, the coryphantha elephantidens-like SnO2 nanospheres had obviously higher gas-sensing response, owing to the special structure with large specific surface area (161.16m2 g−1). It surprised us that the coryphantha elephantidens-like SnO2 sensor could easily distinguish between ethanol and acetone, whose chemical property were similar. Moreover, it also exhibited wide measurement range, fast response speed (less than 10 s) and good repeatability at a low temperature (180 °C) to ethanol. The desirable specific surface area and pore volume were conducive to molecules adsorption and diffusion, which were believed to be the major cause of the improvement of gas sensing performance.

The Up-Regulation of miR-199b-5p in Erythroid Differentiation Is Associated with GATA-1 and NF-E2

        Li, Yuxia,Bai, Hua,Zhang, Zhongzu,li, Weihua,Dong, Lei,Wei, Xueju,Ma, Yanni,Zhang, Junwu,Yu, Jia,Sun, Guotao,Wang, Fang Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology 2014 Molecules and cells Vol.37 No.3

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) represent a class of small non-coding regulatory RNAs that play important roles in normal hematopoiesis, including erythropoiesis. Although studies have identified several miRNAs that regulate erythroid commitment and differentiation, we do not understand the mechanism by which the crucial erythroid transcription factors, GATA-1and NF-E2 directly regulate and control differentiation via miRNA pathways. In this study, we identified miR-199b-5p as a key regulator of human erythropoiesis, and its expression was up-regulated during the erythroid differentiation of K562 cells. Furthermore, the increase of miR-199b-5p in erythroid cells occurred in a GATA-1- and NF-E2-dependent manner during erythrocyte maturation. Both GATA-1 and NF-E2 bound upstream of the miR-199b gene locus and activated its transcription. Forced expression of miRNA-199b-5p in K562 cells affected erythroid cell proliferation and maturation. Moreover, we identified c-Kit as a direct target of miR-199b-5p in erythroid cells. Taken together, our results establish a functional link among the erythroid transcription factors GATA-1/NF-E2, miR-199b-5p and c-Kit, and provide new insights into the coupling of transcription and post-transcription regulation in erythroid differentiation.

Variation of cassiicolin genes among Chinese isolates of Corynespora cassiicola

        Jun Wu,Xue-Wen Xie,Yan-Xia Shi,A-Li Chai,Qi Wang,Bao-ju Li 한국미생물학회 2018 The journal of microbiology Vol.56 No.9

Corynespora cassiicola is a species of fungus that is a plant pathogen of many agricultural crop plants, including severe target spot disease on cucumber. Cassiicolin is an important effector of pathogenicity of this fungus. In this study, we collected 141 Corynespora isolates from eighteen hosts, and the casscolin gene was detected in 82 C. cassiicola strains. The deduced protein sequences revealed that 72 isolates contained the Cas2 gene, two strains from Gynura bicolor harboured the Cas2.2 gene, and 59 isolates without a cassiicolin gene were classified as Cas0. Phylogenetic analyses was performed for the 141 isolates using four loci (ITS, ga4, caa5, and act1) and revealed two genetic clusters. Cluster A is composed of four subclades: subcluster A1 includes all Cas2 isolates plus 18 Cas0 strains, subcluster A2 includes the eight Cas5 isolates and one Cas0 isolate, and subclusters A3 and A4 contain Cas0 strains. Cluster B consists of 21 Cas0 isolates. Twenty-two C. cassiicola strains from different toxin classes showed varying degrees of virulence against cucumber. Cas0 or Cas2 strains induced diverse responses on cucumber, from no symptoms to symptoms of moderate or severe infection, but all Cas5 isolates exhibited avirulence on cucumber.

Counterweight optimization of an asymmetrical hybrid machine tool based on dynamic isotropy

Jun Wu,Tie-Min Li,Liping Wang 대한기계학회 2013 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.27 No.7

This paper deals with the counterweight optimization of an asymmetrical hybrid machine tool based on dynamic isotropy. The dynamic model is derived and the dynamic manipulability ellipsoid is studied. Based on dynamic manipulability ellipsoid, the dynamic isotropy is defined. Counterweight block and fluid counterweight are presented to balance the weight of moving parts. The mass of the counterweight block is optimized to obtain the maximum dynamic isotropy in the workspace. The dynamic isotropy of the machine tool after counterweight optimization is compared with that before counterweight optimization. Furthermore, the dynamic isotropy of the machine tool with fluid counterweight is investigated and compared with that of the machine tool with counterweight block.

Practical Residual Force Decomposition Method for Damage Identifi cation of Existing Reticulated Shells

Jun Wu,Yongfeng Luo,Lei Wang 한국강구조학회 2019 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.19 No.6

The non-destructive damage identifi cation approaches for existing structures become more of a concern due to safety requirements. However, the application of damage identifi cation method is still limited for complex spatial structures. In this paper, a practical residual force decomposition (RFD) method is proposed to identify damaged members in existing reticulated shell structures. A parameterized model is built by taking the stiff ness reduction into consideration. In the proposed RFD method, the signifi cant damage can be recognized corresponding to the changes of the observed eigenvector of the reticulated shells, and the eigenvector changes can be easily transferred to a set of multivariate linear equations to locate the members with signifi cant stiff ness reduction. The inputs of the equations are discussed including the additional constraints and the selection of eff ective modes. According to the diff erent proportion of the numbers of members and joints, three situations of the solution are discussed. Especially when the solution is not unique, the importance coeffi cients of structural members are introduced as additional constraints through Ritz vector sensitivity analysis and application of the Modal Assurance Criterion. Two illustrative examples including a single-layer Kiewitt-6 reticulated shell and a structural model of international convention center are adopted to demonstrate the eff ectiveness of the approach. The results show that the proposed method can yield a suitable damage identifi cation.
