Wrinkled rGO Sheets-Wrapped Carbon Fibers with High Tensile Strength and Excellent Electrochemical Stability as Anodes for Structural Li-Ion Battery

        Huagen Li,Shubin Wang,Mengjie Feng,Jiping Yang,Boming Zhang 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2018 NANO Vol.13 No.08

Herein, we report a hierarchical structure formed by wrinkled reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sheets-wrapped carbon fiber via a facile and efficient electrostatic self-assembly method and subsequent annealing treatment. For this material, the Weibull scale parameter is 4.77 GPa. After 100 cycles, the rGO@CF retains 91% of its second charge capacity at 50mA· g -1, corresponding to a capacity fading of only 0.09% per cycle. Thus, this structural anode material exhibits enhanced capacity, high initial Coulombic efficiency and high tensile strength. Meanwhile, the carbon fiber and interweaved rGO sheets together form the whole conductive networks to provide multichannel highways for charge transfer (lithium-ion diffusion and electron transport) during discharge–charge processes, promising excellent electrochemical performance of this structural anode material.

Preparation of magnetic metal-organic frameworks with high binding capacity for removal of two fungicides from aqueous environments

        Jiping Ma,Shuang Li,Gege Wu,Maryam Arabi,Feng Tan,Yafeng Guan,Jinhua Li,Lingxin Chen 한국공업화학회 2020 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.90 No.-

A novel kind of Zr-based magnetic metal-organic frameworks (MMOFs) was prepared by immobilizationof UiO-66 onto Fe3O4@SiO2 particles via an efficient one-pot solvothermal method. Subsequently, it wasused for adsorptive removal of triclosan (TCS) and triclocarban (TCC) fungicides from aqueousenvironments by magnetic solid phase separation. Morphology and physical/chemical features of theMMOFs were fully characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, FT-IR, and VSM etc., showing high specific surfacearea, appropriate functionality, and desirable magnetic property. Several main factors affecting theadsorption performances of TCS and TCC on the MMOFs were systematically investigated and optimized, such as pH value of water sample, amounts/types of adsorbent and salinity. Under the optimizedconditions, short adsorption equilibrium time (only 25 min) and outstanding saturated adsorptioncapacities (476.27 and 602.40 mg g 1 for TCS and TCC, respectively) were the remarkable superiorities ofthe MMOFs compared with that of most reported adsorbents. The MMOFs demonstrated excellentadsorption selectivity for TCS and TCC and anti-interference ability. Also, the reusability for at least 11cycles was another major profit of the MMOFs that saved cost and prevented waste. Moreover, theMMOFs demonstrated satisfactory removal/purification ability for actual environmental water samples. These benefits propounded a promising outlook of employing the MMOFs for influential removal ofpollutants with considerable reliability in thefield of wastewater treatment.

A Dynamical Hybrid CAC Scheme and Its Performance Analysis for Mobile Cellular Network with Multi-Service

( Jiping Li ),( Shixun Wu ),( Shouyin Liu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2012 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.6 No.6

Call admission control (CAC) plays an important role in mobile cellular network to guarantee the quality of service (QoS). In this paper, a dynamic hybrid CAC scheme with integrated cutoff priority and handoff queue for mobile cellular network is proposed and some performance metrics are derived. The unique characteristic of the proposed CAC scheme is that it can support any number of service types and that the cutoff thresholds for handoff calls are dynamically adjusted according to the number of service types and service priority index. Moreover, timeouts of handoff calls in queues are also considered in our scheme. By modeling the proposed CAC scheme with a one-dimensional Markov chain (1DMC), some performance metrics are derived, which include new call blocking probability ( Pnb ) , forced termination probability (PF), average queue length, average waiting time in queue, offered traffic utilization, wireless channel utilization and system performance which is defined as the ratio of channel utilization to Grade of Service (GoS) cost function. In order to validate the correctness of the derived analytical performance metrics, simulation is performed. It is shown that simulation results match closely with the derived analytic results in terms of Pnb and PF. And then, to show the advantage of 1DMC modeling for the performance analysis of our proposed CAC scheme, the computing complexity of multi-dimensional Markov chain (MDMC) modeling in performance analysis is analyzed in detail. It is indicated that state-space cardinality, which reflects the computing complexity of MDMC, increases exponentially with the number of service types and total channels in a cell. However, the state-space cardinality of our 1DMC model for performance analysis is unrelated to the number of service types and is determined by total number of channels and queue capacity of the highest priority service in a cell. At last, the performance comparison between our CAC scheme and Mahmoud ASH`s scheme is carried out. The results show that our CAC scheme performs well to some extend.

An Efficient and Secure Authentication Scheme with Session Key Negotiation for Timely Application of WSNs

        Jiping Li,Yuanyuan Zhang,Lixiang Shen,Jing Cao,Wenwu Xie,Yizheng,Shouyin Liu 한국인터넷정보학회 2024 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.18 No.3

For Internet of Things, it is more preferred to have immediate access to environment information from sensor nodes (SNs) rather than from gateway nodes (GWNs). To fulfill the goal, mutual authentication scheme between user and SNs with session key (SK) negotiation is more suitable. However, this is a challenging task due to the constrained power, computation, communication and storage resources of SNs. Though lots of authentication schemes with SK negotiation have been designed to deal with it, they are still insufficiently secure and/or efficient, and some even have serious vulnerabilities. Therefore, we design an efficient secure authentication scheme with session key negotiation (eSAS2KN) for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) utilizing fuzzy extractor technique, hash function and bitwise exclusive-or lightweight operations. In the eSAS2KN, user and SNs are mutually authenticated with anonymity, and an SK is negotiated for their direct and instant communications subsequently. To prove the security of eSAS2KN, we give detailed informal security analysis, carry out logical verification by applying BAN logic, present formal security proof by employing Real-Or-Random (ROR) model, and implement formal security verification by using AVISPA tool. Finally, computation and communication costs comparison show the eSAS2kN is more efficient and secure for practical application.

An Improved Two-Factor Mutual Authentication Scheme with Key Agreement in Wireless Sensor Networks

( Jiping Li ),( Yaoming Ding ),( Zenggang Xiong ),( Shouyin Liu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.11

As a main component of Internet of Things (IoTs), the wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been widely applied to various areas, including environment monitoring, health monitoring of human body, farming, commercial manufacture, reconnaissance mission in military, and calamity alert etc. Meanwhile, the privacy concerns also arise when the users are required to get the real-time data from the sensor nodes directly. To solve this problem, several user authentication and key agreement schemes with a smart card and a password have been proposed in the past years. However, these schemes are vulnerable to some attacks such as offline password guessing attack, user impersonation attack by using attacker’s own smart card, sensor node impersonation attack and gateway node bypassing attack. In this paper, we propose an improved scheme which can resist a wide variety of attacks in WSNs. Cryptanalysis and performance analysis show that our scheme can solve the weaknesses of previously proposed schemes and enhance security requirements while maintaining low computational cost.

The Effect of Lysine to Protein Ratio on Growth Performance and Efficiency of Nitrogen Utilization in Pigs

        Li, Defa,Xi, Pengbin,Wang, Junxun,Wang, Jitan,Ren, Jiping,Kang, Yufan,Thacker, P. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2001 Animal Bioscience Vol.14 No.9

One feeding trial and two metabolic trials were conducted to investigate the effects of lysine to protein ratio in practical swine diets on growth performance and efficiency of nitrogen retention and utilization in different growing phases. In Trial one (the feeding trial), 90 mixed sex pigs weighing $9.1{\pm}1.4kg$ (Duroc ${\times}$ Landrance ${\times}$ Beijing Black) were used to study the effects of concentrations of 5.2, 5.3, 5.8, 6.4 and 7.2 g lysine/100 g CP in diets containing 1.2% lysine on growth performance and serum urea nitrogen. The results showed that feed conversion efficiency and economic efficiency were best for pigs fed the diet containing the lysine concentration of 5.8 g /100 g crude protein. Serum urea nitrogen concentration decreased linearly (p=0.0009) and serum free lysine content increased linearly (p=0.0017) as the lysine to protein ratio in diets increased from 5.2 to 7.2 g/100 g. In Trials two and three (the metabolic trials), five growing barrows (Duroc ${\times}$ Landrance ${\times}$ Beijing black), with initial body weights of approximately $26{\pm}2.4kg$ and $56.3{\pm}3.5kg$, respectively, were allotted to five dietary treatments according to a $5{\times}5$ Latin square design. Trial two contained 5.2, 5.7, 6.1, 6.7 and 6.8 g lysine/100 g CP treatments. Trial three contained 4.6, 5.0, 5.6, 6.1 and 6.6 g lysine/100 g CP treatments. The results showed that nitrogen retention in growing pigs decreased linearly (p=0.0011 in Trial two; p=0.0099 in Trial three) as the lysine to protein ratio in diets increased. The ratio of lysine to protein in diets resulting in maximum nitrogen retention was 5.2 g/100 g and 5.0 g/100 g in Trial two and Trial three, respectively. In Trial two, apparent biological value and gross nitrogen efficiency increased linearly (p=0.0135 and p=0.0192, respectively) as the lysine to protein ratio increased from 5.2 to 6.8 g lysine/100 g CP. In summary, we concluded that the optimal Lysine to Protein Ratios for 8-20 kg and 20-80 kg pigs were 5.8 g/100 g and 5.0 to 5.2 g/100 g, respectively.

Nitric Oxide Plays an Important Role in β-Aminobutyric Acid-Induced Resistance to Botrytis cinerea in Tomato Plants

        Rui Li,Jiping Sheng,Lin Shen 한국식물병리학회 2020 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.36 No.2

β-Aminobutyric acid (BABA) has consistently been reported to enhance plant immunity. However, the specific mechanisms and downstream components that mediate this resistance are not yet agreed upon. Nitric oxide (NO) is an important signal molecule involved in a diverse range of physiological processes, and whether NO is involved in BABA-induced resistance is interest- ing. In this study, treatment with BABA significantly increased NO accumulation and reduced the sensitivity to Botrytis cinerea in tomato plants. BABA treatment reduced physical signs of infection and increased both the transcription of key defense marker genes and the activity of defensive enzymes. Interestingly, compared to treatment with BABA alone, treatment with BABA plus cPTIO (NO specific scavenger) not only signifi- cantly reduced NO accumulation, but also increased disease incidence and lesion area. These results sug- gest that NO accumulation plays an important role in BABA-induced resistance against B. cinerea in tomato plants.

      • Analysis-Based Nonlocal-Approximate Sparsity Representation in Image Processing

Xiaowei He,Li Zhang,Jiping Xiong 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.9

1l norm is a popular regularizer in various linear inverse problems including image processing, compressed sensing and machine learning. But the non-zero entries of the sparsity solution obtained by 1l are independent with each other, which always leads to biased result to real solution. Actually, there always exist some different correlations among those non-zero entries in an image signal domain or various analysis domains. In this paper, based on a simple observation that the non-zero entries of the sparsity vector in various image analysis domains should be also approximate when the relevant signal values are proximate, we proposed a nonlocal-approximate sparsity regularizer in analysis domains by minimizing the sum of the 2l norms of those vectors with the same nonzero pattern like signal vectors. This regularizer is applied to image denoising, edge detecting, inpainting and decomposition models successively. The numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in terms of PSNR, visual effect and edge preserving.

Improved and Extended Range Scale Algorithm for Wireless Cellular Location

        Shixun Wu,Jiping Li,Shouyin Liu,Jong-Wha Chong IEEE 2012 IEEE communications letters Vol.16 No.2

<P>The range scale algorithm (RSA) proposed in 2004 is a constrained optimization problem with only three base stations (BSs). In this letter, by introducing a new variable to replace the square term, the quadratic objective function of the constrained optimization problem in RSA is turned into a linear objective function. Then the computational complexity is reduced and the performance is improved. Moreover, when the number of BSs is larger than three, we construct a new objective function and give the corresponding constraints. So the RSA is extended for more BSs and the performance of positioning is improved significantly. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithms improve the location accuracy over traditional algorithms in different Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments.</P>

Sr-doping enhanced electrical transport and thermionic emission of single crystal 12CaO·7Al2O3 electride

        Xin Zhang,Qi Feng,Jiping Zhao,Hong-liang Liu,Jichao Li,Yixin Xiao,Fan Li,Qingmei Lu 한국물리학회 2020 Current Applied Physics Vol.20 No.1

Sr-doped single crystals (C1-xSx)12A7:e− (x=0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03) were successfully fabricated by floating zone method. It is found that Sr-doping decreases the reduction time from 30 h to 20 h. The maximum emission current of (C1-xSx)12A7:e− is greatly improved by 50% than that of the un-doped. The DFT calculations show Srdoping in C12A7 contributed to the free O2− in the cages spread out, leading to a short reduction time; increase the “window” between two adjacent cages that is conducive to the electrons in cages to escape. And the work function of the (C1-xSx)12A7:e− is lower than that of C12A7:e−.
