Correlations Between Fasciology and Yin Yang Doctrine
Hui Tao,Mei-chun Yu,Hui-ying Yang,Rong-mei Qu,Chun Yang,Xin Zhou,Yu Bai,Jing-peng Wu,Jun Wang,Ou Sha,Lin Yuan 사단법인약침학회 2011 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.4 No.2
The aim of this study is to explore the correlations between fasciology and yin yang doctrine. Professor Yuan developed fasciology by three-dimensional reconstruction of connective tissue (fascia) in the trunk and limbs of the human body and tracing back to tissue origins in light of biological evolution and developmental biology. Fasciology states that the human body can be divided into two systems: the supporting-storing system and the functional system. This article elaborates on the roles of the two systems and their mutual relationship. The two systems are used to analyze the yin,the yang, and their relationship. The two systems are promoted but also restricted in different contexts. The supporting-storing system is formed by undifferentiated connective tissue and provides undifferentiated cells and nutrients for differentiated cells of the functional system. Thus, the supporting-storing system could be classified as quiet, similar to yin. The functional system continuously maintains the various functional activities of the human body. Thus, the functional system could be classified as active, similar to yang. In interpreting the yin yang doctrine from the point of view of fasciology, yin can be compared with the supporting-storing system and yang can be compared with the functional system.

The purpose of this paper is to reveal the basic meaning and pragmatic meaning of ending word ‘-geodeun’, and its politeness according to the context, and based on this, to propose education plan for foreigners of ‘-geodeun’ in Korean education in the future. The ending word ‘-geodeun’ has various pragmatic meanings, but it is difficult for foreigners to grasp all the meanings when learning Korean, and if we educate all the meanings of ‘-geodeun’, it will also give foreign learners a lot of learning load, and they will encounter various confusions and difficulties in mastering the usage of ‘-geodeun’. Therefore, it is necessary to set a basic meaning of ‘-geodeun’. Only after mastering the basic meaning can the learner better grasp the various pragmatic meanings of ‘-geodeun’. In addition, the ending word ‘-geodeun’ as a colloquial suffix has been discussed as a marker of politeness. This article believes that ‘-geodeun’ itself does not have the function of “politeness”, and ‘-geodeun’ will shows different degrees of politeness according to the context and the comparison with other endings. Quantile regression for robust inference on varying coefficient partially nonlinear models
Jing Yang,Fang Lu,Hu Yang 한국통계학회 2018 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.47 No.2
In this paper, we propose a robust statistical inference approach for the varying coefficient partially nonlinear models based on quantile regression. A three-stage estimation procedure is developed to estimate the parameter and coefficient functions involved in the model. Under some mild regularity conditions, the asymptotic properties of the resulted estimators are established. Some simulation studies are conducted to evaluate the finite performance as well as the robustness of our proposed quantile regression method versus the well known profile least squares estimation procedure. Moreover, the Boston housing price data is given to further illustrate the application of the new method.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is becoming a major public health problem worldwide. This study aimed to explore whether peanut skin extract (PSE) has protective effects against high-fat and high-fructose (HF) diet-induced kidney injury. Rats were fed HF diet in the whole experiment, while rats in PSE-treated groups were supplemented with PSE. Finally, PSE reduced kidney tissue weight, perinephric fat weight, and levels of serum ammonia, creatinine, and urea nitrogen, along with decreases of renal IL-1β and TNF-α level. Histological examination indicated that PSE alleviated renal tubular dilatation, and degeneration and partial exfoliation of renal tubular epithelial cells. In addition, PSE decreased serum and urinary uric acid level, together with reductions of XOD production and XOD activity both in serum and liver, and down-regulated expressions of renal NLRP3 and ERS proteins. Thus, PSE may be a potential functional food for protecting against renal injury in high energy intake.

Based on the exact analytical method, this paper calculates the no-load back electromotive force, air gap fux density, cogging torque, and electromagnetic torque of outer rotor wheel-hub permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM); the calculation results are in good agreement with those of the fnite element method, which verifes the accuracy of the exact analytical method for solving the outer rotor PMSM. On this basis, the second-generation non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is applied to optimize the multiple structural parameters and performance of the motor more quickly. Compared with the initial scheme of the motor, the torque ripple and permanent magnet mass of the optimized scheme is decreased by a quarter; the average electromagnetic torque, efciency is also improved. Finally, the simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method is reasonable and efective.

Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) is a qualitative short day plant with high aesthetic value. However, its flowers are not produced when the night length is shorter than a cultivar-dependent critical value. This study investigated effect of supplementary or night interrupting (NI) low-intensity blue (B) light on plant performance and flower induction in kalanchoe ‘Rudak’. White (W) LEDs were used to provide a photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) of 180 μmol m−2 s−1 during the photoperiod in a closed-type plant factory with day/night temperatures of 23°C/18°C, and B LEDs were used to provide the supplementary/NI light at a 10 μmol m−2 s−1 PPFD. The control plants were exposed to a 10h short day (SD10, positive control) or 13h long day(LD13, negative control) treatment without any B light. The B light was used for 4h either 1) to supplement the W LEDs at the end of the SD10(SD10 + 4B) and LD13 (LD13 + 4B) or 2) to provide night interruption(NI) in the SD10 (SD10 + NI-4B) and LD13 (LD13 + NI-4B). The LD13+ 4B and LD13 + NI-4B significantly enhanced not only plant growth and development, but also certain monitored genes related to photosynthesis and flowering. The LD13 + NI-4B treatment resulted in plants with the greatest physiological parameters. Except in the LD13 and LD13 + NI-4B, all plants flowered. It is noteworthy that kalanchoe ‘Rudak’ flowered in the LD13 + 4B treatment and also had the greatest number of flowers, followed by the SD10 + NI-4B and SD10 + 4B. The results indicate that a 4-h supplementation of B light during the photoperiod in both the SD10 and LD13 treatments increased flower bud formation, promoted flowering, and enhanced plant performance. Especially, kalanchoe ‘Rudak’, a qualitative short-day plant, flowered in the LD13 + 4B, presenting a possibility of practically inducing flowering in long day seasons by B light application.
