Chemical Composition and Antimigraine Activity of Essential Oil of Angelicae dahuricae Radix

        Jingbo Sun,He Li,Jinghui Sun,Huimin Liu,JianGuang Chen,Chunmei Wang 한국식품영양과학회 2017 Journal of medicinal food Vol.20 No.8

The aim of this study was to explore the chemical composition and the effect of essential oil of Angelicae dahuricae radix on a nitroglycerin (NTG)-induced rat model of migraine. The CO2 supercritical fluid extraction method was optimized for the extraction of essential oil of A. dahuricae radix (EOAD) and its chemical composition was determined. The migraine model was established by subcutaneous injection of NTG (10 mg/kg) 1 h after the last administration of EOAD. The therapeutic effect of EOAD and its underlying mechanism were assessed by monitoring behavioral changes, levels of nitric oxide (NO) in serum and brain tissues, plasma levels of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and endothelin (ET), and ET/NO ratio. The optimal conditions for CO2 supercritical fluid extraction of EOAD, as determined by orthogonal test [L9(34)], were as follows: 2 h extraction time, 20 MPa pressure, 40°C temperature, and 30 mesh. The yield of EOAD was 1.8%. On gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, 45 peaks were found in EOAD, and 22 compounds were identified and quantified. The main constituents of EOAD were 1-dodecanol (13.71%), elemene (7.54%), palmitic acid ethyl ester (7.32%), α-pinene (6.25%), and 1-pentadecanol (6.08%). Compared with rat migraine model controls, EOAD (35, 70, and 140 mg/kg) significantly reduced the number of head shaking, head scratching, and hind leg shooting events, decreased serum and brain NO levels, decreased plasma CGRP, and increased ET levels in rats. ET/NO ratio was elevated to 28.68 in the EOAD high-dose group. EOAD ameliorates NTG-induced migraine in rats likely by modulating the levels of vasoactive substances.

A monolithic silicon multi-sensor for measuring three-axis acceleration, pressure and temperature

Xu Jingbo,Zhao Yulong,Jiang Zhuangde,Sun Jian 대한기계학회 2008 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.22 No.4

A monolithic multi-sensor for small unmanned aerial vehicles is presented in the paper; it consists of a three-axis piezoresistive accelerometer, a piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor and a silicon thermistor temperature sensor. The accelerometer is designed with four silicon beams supporting the seismic mass and appropriate piezoresistors arrangement to detect three-axis acceleration and greatly reduce cross-axis sensitivities. For minimizing the effect of stress on the temperature sensor, the thermistor is designed along [100] and [010] crystal orientation. The multi-sensor is fabricated on SOI wafers by using MEMS bulk-micromachining technology. Some effective micromachining steps are applied in the fabrication. The two-step wet anisotropic etching process on the backside of the wafers can form the whole backside shape of the multi-sensor. The metal electrode sputtered on the Pyrex glass can avoid sticking between the Pyrex glass and the seismic mass in the process of anodic bonding. The die size of the multi-sensor is 4×6×0.9mm3. The measured results show that the multi-sensor is appropriate for its application field.

Efficient Method to Include Joint Zones of Chord Members in Finite Element Model of Tubular Transmission Tower at Linear Elastic Stage

        Haifeng Liu,Junke Han,Zhenmao Sun,Jingbo Yang,Fengli Yang,Xiyu Xu 한국강구조학회 2015 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.15 No.4

To include the effects of the joint zones efficiently, firstly a chord member considering the joint zones is seen as a combination of three beams with different sections and its element stiffness matrix is derived; Secondly, based on the statistically geometrical properties of the joint zones and chord members in service, the coefficients in the element stiffness matrix of the varied section beam element related to the moments and shear forces greatly increase more than 70%, while the coefficients related to axial forces only increase less than 2%. Therefore, along with the other two inherent mechanical properties of member structures, it is essential to include the effects of the joint zones. Finally, the results by the finite element models where the chord members and the joint zones are simulated by four methods are compared, which proves the efficiency and the accuracy of the varied section beam element.
