Combined transcriptomic and proteomic analysis of flubendiamide resistance in Plutella xylostella

        Li JingJing,Jin Ming‐Hui,Wang Nian‐Meng,Yu Qi‐Tong,Shang Ze‐Yu,Xue Chao‐Bin 한국곤충학회 2020 Entomological Research Vol.50 No.10

Diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella, is an important pest of crucifers worldwide. The extensive use of diamide insecticides has led to DBM resistance in the world, and this presents a serious threat to vegetable production. In the present study, transcriptomic and proteomic analyses were combined to investigate the potential flubendiamide‐resistance mechanism in DBM. The lab‐selected (Rh) and field‐collected (Rb) flubendiamide‐resistant lines of P. xylostella with resistance ratios of 1889.92‐fold and 1250.97‐fold, respectively, were used, as well as a lab‐reared flubendiamide‐susceptible line (S). Compared with the S group, the transcriptomic analysis revealed 151 upregulated and 287 downregulated gene messengers in the Rh group and 432 upregulated and 565 downregulated gene messengers in the Rb group. The most frequently enriched pathways of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were mainly involved in metabolic pathways. Metabolism related genes, including two P450, two ABC transporters, and three trypsins, were upregulated in the Rh line. Additionally, some P450 genes, trypsin, juvenile hormone (JH), and mucin genes were also upregulated in the Rb line. In proteomic analysis comparisons with the S group, there were 78 upregulated and 90 downregulated proteins in the Rh group and 221 upregulated and 155 downregulated proteins in the Rb group. Further analyses found that three CYP and 11 CYP proteins were over‐expressed in Rh and Rb lines, respectively. Four glutathione S‐transferase (GST) and four UGTs were over‐expressed in Rb line. So, we deduced that the detoxification metabolism may be the main mechanism of flubendiamide resistance in P. xylostella.

Study on anchorage effect on fractured rock

        Jing Wang,Shucai Li,Li-Ping Li,Weishen Zhu,Qian-qing Zhang,Shu-Guang Song 국제구조공학회 2014 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.17 No.6

The effects of anchor on fractured specimens in splitting test are simulated by DDARF method, the results of which are compared with laboratory test results. They agree well with each other. The paper contents also use the laboratory model test. The main research objects are three kinds of specimens, namely intact specimens, jointed specimens and anchored-jointed specimens. The results showed that with the joint angle increased, the weakening effects of jointed rock mass are more obvious. At these points, the rock bolts' strengthening effects on the specimens have become more significant. There is a significant impact on the failure modes of rock mass by the joint and the anchorage.

      • Expression and Effects of JMJD2A Histone Demethylase in Endometrial Carcinoma

        Wang, Hong-Li,Liu, Mei-Mei,Ma, Xin,Fang, Lei,Zhang, Zong-Feng,Song, Tie-Fang,Gao, Jia-Yin,Kuang, Ye,Jiang, Jing,Li, Lin,Wang, Yang-Yang,Li, Pei-Ling Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.7

Previous studies have demonstrated that JMJD2A is a potential oncogene and is overexpressed in human tumors. However, its role in the endometrial carcinoma remains largely unknown. In this study, we discovered that JMJD2A was overexpressed in endometrial carcinoma, using immunohistochemistry, quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction, and western blotting. Downregulation of JMJD2A led to reduced endometrial carcinoma RL95-2 and ISK cell proliferation, invasion and metastasis as asessed with cell counting kit-8, cell migration and invasive assays. Collectively, our results support that JMJD2A is a promoter of endometrial carcinoma cell proliferation and survival, and is a potential novel drug target.

The establishment of IB-SEM numerical method and verification of fluid-solid interaction

        Wang, Jing,Li, Shu-cai,Mao, Xuerui,Li, Li-ping,Shi, Shao-shuai,Zhou, Zong-qing Techno-Press 2018 Geomechanics & engineering Vol.15 No.6

The interaction between particles and fluid was investigated by IB-SEM numerical method which is a combination of combing the spectral/hp element method and the rigid immersed boundary method. The accuracy of this numerical method was verified based on the computed results with the traditional body-fitted mesh in numerical simulation of the flow through the cylinder. Then the governing equations of particles motion and contact in fluid are constructed. The movement of the particles and the interaction between the fluid and the particles are investigated. This method avoided the problem of low computational efficiency and error caused by the re-division of the grid when the solids moved. Finally, the movement simulation of multi particles in the fluid was carried out, which can provide a completely new numerical simulation method.

Optimal Operation of Regional Integrated Energy System Considering Integrated Demand Response and Exergy Efficiency

        Wang Jing,Xing Haijun,Wang Huaxin,Xie Baojiang,Luo Yangfan 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.5

In order to further improve the energy consumption potential and system energy utilization effi ciency on the demand side of regional integrated energy system (RIES), taking into account economy and energy effi ciency, a RIES optimal operation model and strategy considering integrated demand response (IDR) and exergy effi ciency are proposed. Firstly, the IDR is modeled, the exergy effi ciency of RIES is analyzed, and an exergy effi ciency model considering IDR is established. Secondly the RIES multi-objective optimization model is established with the goal of the lowest economic cost and the highest exergy effi ciency. In order to obtain a series of Pareto frontier solutions with uniform distribution, the normal boundary intersection is used to solve the multi-objective. Finally, the system economic cost and exergy effi ciency under four diff erent scenarios are analyzed. A practical example is used to verify the proposed model. The results show that considering the comprehensive demand response in RIES can eff ectively reduce the system cost. Through multi-objective analysis, it is verifi ed that the reasonable addition of comprehensive demand response can further improve the system exergy effi ciency and stimulate the exergy consumption potential on the demand side.

Experimental Investigation of Ozone Decomposition in Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration with Non-Thermal Plasma Technology

        Wang Weikai,Cai Yi-xi,Shi Yunxi,Wang Jing,Zhao Nan,Ji Liang 한국자동차공학회 2021 International journal of automotive technology Vol.22 No.4

A non-thermal plasma (NTP) reactor was used to generate ozone for diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration. The kinetic mechanism of ozone thermal decomposition reaction is explored, and the effect of temperature on the change of ozone concentration is analyzed. The changes of the internal temperature and the concentration of regeneration products such as CO2 and CO during the regeneration under constant temperature and non-constant temperature conditions are then studied and the influence of different regeneration environments on the regeneration is analyzed in combination with the decomposition law of ozone. In the non-constant temperature condition, DPF surface temperature changes significantly with time. The results show that when using an NTP reactor to generate ozone, the activation energy of the decomposition reaction is 2.80755 × 104 J/mol and the law of thermal decomposition reaction can be described as 190.76 . /. During DPF regeneration, the overall regeneration rate and ozone utilization rate in the nonconstant temperature environment are higher than in the constant temperature environment and the temperature change (delta-T) peak rises with the increase of PM deposition. The regeneration with NTP under non-constant thermal condition is an effective way to improve the efficiency of DPF regeneration.

Ballistic transport in 5.1 nm monolayer boron phosphide transistors for high-performance applications

        Wang Yu,Chen Wen,Jing Sicheng,Pan Jinghua,Wang Danni,Ma Zelong,Bian Baoan 한국물리학회 2023 Current Applied Physics Vol.52 No.-

Boron Phosphide is reported to be a semiconductor material with anisotropy, tunable bandgap, and high carrier mobility. We study the performance of 5.1 nm metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) based on boron phosphide using quantum transport simulation. The calculated results show that the on-state current can fulfill the requirements of the International Semiconductor Technology Roadmap (ITRS) for high-performance (HP) devices at the optimal doping concentration, but the gate control capability is not ideal. Furthermore, it is found that the gate control capability and on-state current can be significantly improved with the length being 1 nm by using the underlap (UL) structure. We also study the performance of boron phosphide MOSFET with different gate lengths (5–8 nm), and the results suggest that the shorter the gate length, the worse the gate control capability. Interestingly, the p-type boron phosphide MOSFET always outperforms the n-type MOSFET. This work will provide a new reference for the development of two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor devices.

      • Rectangle Region Based Stereo Matching for Building Reconstruction

        Wang, Jing,Miyazaki, Toru,Koizumi, Hirokazu,Iwata, Makoto,Chong, Jong-Wha,Yagyu, Hiroyuki,Shimazu, Hideo,Ikenaga, Takeshi,Goto, Satoshi The Institute of Electronics and Information Engin 2007 JUCT : Journal of Ubiquitous Convergence Technolog Vol.1 No.1

Feature based stereo matching is an effective way to perform 3D building reconstruction. However, in urban scene, the cluttered background and various building structures may interfere with the performance of building reconstruction. In this paper, we propose a novel method to robustly reconstruct buildings on the basis of rectangle regions. Firstly, we propose a multi-scale linear feature detector to obtain the salient line segments on the object contours. Secondly, candidate rectangle regions are extracted from the salient line segments based on their local information. Thirdly, stereo matching is performed with the list of matching line segments, which are boundary edges of the corresponding rectangles from the left and right image. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve better accuracy on the reconstructed result than pixel-level stereo matching.

Activation of β2-Adrenergic Receptor Promotes Growth and Angiogenesis in Breast Cancer by Down-regulating PPARγ

        Jing Zhou,Zhanzhao Liu,Lingjing Zhang,Xiao Hu,Zhihua Wang,Hong Ni,Yue Wang,Jun-fang Qin 대한암학회 2020 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.52 No.3

Purpose Chronic stress and related hormones are key in cancer progression. Peroxisome proliferator- activated receptor ! (PPAR!) and its agonists was reported that inducing anti-tumor effect. However, the function of PPAR! in pro-tumorigenic effects induced by chronic stress in breast cancer remains unknown. Herein, we have characterized a novel role of PPAR! and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)/fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) signals in breast cancer promoted by chronic stress. Materials and Methods We performed experiments in vivo and in vitro and used bioinformatics data to evaluate the therapeutic potential of PPAR! in breast cancer promoted by stress. Results Chronic stress significantly inhibited the PPAR! expression and promoted breast cancer in vivo. VEGF/FGF2-mediated angiogenesis increased in the chronic stress group compared to the control group. PPAR! agonist pioglitazone (PioG) injection offset the pro-tumorigenic effect of chronic stress. Moreover, specific "2-adrenergic receptor ("2R) antagonist ICI11- 8551 inhibited the effect of chronic stress. In vitro, norepinephrine (NE) treatment had a similar tendency to chronic stress. The effect of NE was mediated by the "2R/adenylate cyclase signaling pathway and suppressed by PioG. PPAR! suppressed VEGF/FGF2 through reactive oxygen species inhibition. Bioinformatics data confirmed that there was a low PPAR! expression in breast invasive carcinoma. Lower PPAR! was associated with a significantly worse survival. Conclusion "2R activation induced by chronic stress and related hormones promotes growth and VEGF/ FGF2-mediated angiogenesis of breast cancer by down-regulating PPAR!. Our findings hint that " receptor and PPAR! as two target molecules and the novel role for their agonists or antagonists as clinical medicine in breast cancer therapy.
