This investigation aims to the theoretical study on the cover factor of woven and knitted fabrics. The following conclusion are obtained. 1. The cover factor of women fabrics is shown as; √1-[(M(28/K_1-1)+α)/(1+β)]^2+√1-[(M(28/K_2-1)+α}β)/(1+β)]=1 where α=4M/4+π(M-1) 2. The cover factor of triaxial fabrics is shown as; (4cos α+4cos α+3)/(4(1+cos α)^2) 3. The cover factor of knitted fabrics is shown as; d/l=1/(l√N)=1/l√(1.3/g)T 4. Relation between shrinkage, density and thickness is shown as; D=4/3(P_2√C+P_1√C) 5. Relation between diameter of yarn and tickness is shown as; D=34.14(1/√N_1+1/√N_2) where K1, K2; Cover factor of warp and welt. The diagnostic requirements were suggested and explained regarding the systems of differentiation of symptoms and signs in the third year study of standardization and unification of the terms and conditions used for diagnosis in oriental medicine. The systems were as follows : - analyzing and differentiating of epidemic febrile disease - analyzing and differentiating in accordance with the Sasang constitution medicine based on four-type recognition - differentiation of disease according to pathological changes of Chong and Ren channels - standards for diagnosis of women's disease - standards for diagnosis of children's disease - standards for diagnosis of motor and sensor disturbance (-muscle. born, joint, etc.) - standards for diagnosis of neuropsychiatric disease - standards for diagnosis of five sense organ disease - standards for diagnosis of external disease The indivisual diagnosis pattern was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name, notion of diagnosis pattern, index of differentiation of symptoms and signs, the main point of diagnosis, analysis of diagnosis pattern, discrimination of diagnosis pattern, prognosis, a way of curing a disease, prescription, herbs in common use, disease appearing the diagnosis pattern, documents. The standards for diagnosis of each disease was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name, notion of disease, the main point of diagnosis, analyzing and differentiating of disease, analysis of disease, discrimination of disease, prognosis, a way of curing and prescription of disease, disease in western medicine appearing the disease in oriental medicine, documents.

Sediment quality assessment guidelines(SQAGs) for seven trace elements were suggested to build an assessment system of freshwater sediment quality for a regulatory program in Korea. In this study, current one-step SQAGs were divided into three levels based on the probability of toxicity occurrence, namely, the threshold-effect-level(TEL), the probable-effect-level(PEL), and the apparent-effect-threshold(AET). A sediment toxicity database consisting of field-collected sediments and toxicity results from three different species were used to derive TEL, PEL, and AET. The ambient background concentrations of trace elements in freshwater sediments were used instead of the TEL values because TEL values were lower than the ambient background levels. To validate the reliability of the new SQAGs, a separate sediment toxicity database based on G. sobaegensis was used. When the mean quotient value for the PEL was 0.34, the reliability reached a maximum of 87% with a positive predictive value of 94% and a negative predictive value of 85%. These results showed the newly derived SQAGs were very useful for assessing and predicting the toxicity of field sediments in Korea. Finally, ambient background concentrations, a mean quotient of PEL of 0.34, and AETs were used to classify the quality of the field-collected sediments into four categories.

Corn steep liquor (CSL) obtained from a commercial starch manufacturing process was analyzed and tested as a complex nutrient source for ABE (acetone,butanol, and ethanol) production by Clostridium acetobutylicum PJC4BK_AdhE1. CSL contained a wealth of trace elements and nitrogenous components, proteins and amino acids. ABE production increased the content of CSL was raised up to 6% (v/v) in medium and then decreased at higher contents. In 6% CSL-containing medium, C. acetobutylicum PJC4BK_AdhE1 produced 21.4 g/L of ABE with a yield of 0.41 g/g in 18 h of fermentation. Although the final titer of ABE was similar in CSL containing media and Clostridial Growth Medium (CGM, containing yeast extract and asparagines as complex nutrients), the yield and productivity of ABE in 6% CSL-containing medium were found to be higher than 32 and 26%, respectively.

Light emitting diode(LED) lighting has been applied various industry fields because of its high efficiency, low power consumption, long life time, and environment friendly characteristics. Generally, LED lighting needs a driver to maintain constant current. Most popular driver is the switching converter. In the converter, there are several electrolytic capacitors. However the lifespan of the electrolytic capacitor is much shorter than LED. Therefore the lifespan of LED lighting with electrolytic capacitor is decreased. Also, LED lighting needs dimming control because of various needs and energy saving. This paper presents the dimmable single-stage PFC DCM flyback converter without electrolytic capacitor and parallel LC resonant filter for reducing 120[㎐] ripple on the output. The type 2 controller is used to maintain constant current and the analog dimming control is used. The proposed converter is verified through simulation and experimental works.
