We are made a comparison between 12 meridian tendino-musculature and myofascial/locomotor anatomy in which the bodywide connections among the muscles within the fascial net. We consider that these unique 'whole systems' view is of vital importance to understanding the role of fascial in normal movement and postural distortion and to application of manual and movement therapy.
These studies were conducted about the effects of Trachelospermi C aulis in the aspect of the basic pharmacology through experimental animals with the investigation of its clinical effects on orien-tal medical literatures of Trachelospermi Carlis. The resulst were as follows; 1. Analgenic effect recognized by the acetic stimulating method. 2. On prolonging the duration of hypnosis induced by pentobarbital-Na, its sedative effect of Tra-chelospermi Caulis was recognized. 3. Anti-convulsion effect on Cerebral cortical convulsion induced by caffeine was noted. 4. The inhibitory effect was noted on capillary permeability induced by histamine. 5. Antimicrobial effect was noted on Cram-Positive and Gram-Negative. 6. The inhibitory effect of leukocyte emigration was recognized. According to the above results, literature and clinical effects of Trachelospermi Caulis were con-sistent with the acturally experimental results.
As automotive industry develops, the demand for increasing traffic safety is growing. Lots of researches about vehicle convenience and safety technology have been implemented. Now, the autonomous driving test is being conducted all over the world, and the autonomous driving regulations are also being developed. Autonomous vehicles are being commercialized, but autonomous vehicle safety has not been guaranteed yet. This paper presents scenarios that assess the safety of autonomous vehicles by identifying the minimum requirements to ensure safety for a variety of situations on highway. In assessing driving safety, seven scenarios were totally selected. Seven scenarios were related to lane keeping and lane change performance in certain situations. These scenarios were verified by analyzing the driving data acquired through actual vehicle driving. Data analysis was implemented via computer simulation. These scenarios are developed based on existing ADAS evaluation and simulation of autonomous vehicle algorithm. Also Safety evaluation factors are developed based on ISO requirements, other papers and the current traffic regulations.
This paper presents steering controller for unintended lane departure avoidance under crosswind using vehicle lateral disturbance estimation. Vehicles exposed to crosswind are more likely to deviate from lane, which can lead to accidents. To prevent this, a lateral disturbance estimator and steering controller for compensating disturbance have been proposed. The disturbance affecting lateral motion of the vehicle is estimated using Kalman filter, which is on the basis of the 2-DOF bicycle model and Electric Power Steering (EPS) module. A sliding mode controller is designed to avoid unintended the lane departure using the estimated disturbance. The controller is based on the 2-DOF bicycle model and the vision-based error dynamic model. A torque controller is used to provide appropriate assist torque to driver. The performance of proposed estimator and controller is evaluated via computer simulation using Matlab/Simulink.
Objects. There was an increase in obese population due to eating habits resulted in modernization of lifestyle and the change of the tendency to conduct the physical activity, in order words, the reduction in the range of kinetic energy. Obesity is viewed as a major risk factor for serious health problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, and certain forms of cancer as well as for psychological and social problems owing to our fat-phobic society. In the present study, we investigate the weight loss thanks to giving Handayulso-tang(HD) medication of Taeum-in to induced obesity rats and its effects on lipid metabolism, given that their behavior patterns are changed according to their constitution. Methods: The extracts of Handayulso-tang was orally administered to the rats of HD group 200mg/200g of rats weight every day for 6 weeks, and the control group were fed with equal amount of saline. And measured the body weight and total cholesterol, triglyceride, free fatty acid and total lipid contents in serum in obese rats. Results: 1. The body weight in HD group were decreased. 2. The contents of serum total cholesterol and triglyceride in HD group were decreased and statistically showed the significant difference compared with the control group. 3. The contents of serum free fatty acid and total lipid in HD group were decreased, but did not statistically show the significant difference compared with the control group. Conclusion: Based on the above results, we know that Handayulso-tang have effects on the decrease of the body weight and the contents of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, free fatty acid and total lipid So it could be concluded that Handayulso-tang can help the treatment of obesity.
Objectives : To investigate the effects of Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy on the recovery of fatigue induced by post-swimming exercise. Methods : The lactic acid, creatine phosphokinase(CPK), lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) and glucose were measured in blood. Results: The result were as follows; 1. The lactic acid levels in Saengmaeksan and Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy group were immediately decreased at 30 minutes after exercise and statistically showed the significance different from the control group (P<0.005). 2. The CPK activities in Saengmaeksan and Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy group were immediately decreased after exercise and statistically showed the significant difference compared with the control group (P<0.05). 3. The LDH activities in Saengmaeksan and Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy group did not show the significant difference compared with the control group. 4. The glucose levels in Saengmaeksan and Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy group did not statistically show the significant difference compared with the control group. Conclusions So it could be concluded that saengmaeksan and Saengmaeksan-with-Ogapy can recover the fatigue of after exercise.
Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Dong Guk University, Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Kyunghee University* Backgrounds and Purpose : Pyrite is one of the important prescription that has been used in oriental medicine for healing of fracture. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Pyrite on the healing of tibia fracture. Materials and Methods : We used 42 male Sprague-Dawley rats of 8-12 weeks aged. They were divided two groups, control and experimental. All rats of each group was fractured by instrument designed by Bonnarens & Einhorn. Pyrite was orally administered to the experimental group. At post-fracture 2 days, 4 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks and 5 weeks, three rats was sacrificed in each group. From them we gained bony-segments of healing process of fractured tibias. Also at each time we sampled rats, venous blood and checked Ca, P and Alcaline phosphatase in the serum. We stained the specimens with Goldner, s modified Masson,s Trichrome. And then we measured Bone histomorphometry using Bioquant computer program of image-analysis system. The measurements included static parameter and dynamic parameter. We measured the thickness of osteoid and callus as static parameter, and mineral apposition rate as dynamic parameter. We observed specimens, histomorphologic change of unioned callus of each group under the microscope of 100 magnifications. Results and Conclusions : 1. In the change of Ca, P there was no significant change between experimental and control group. But from 3 weeks of fracture ALP in experimental group was increased compared with control group. Expecially after 4 and 5 weeks of fracture ALP in experimental group was significantly increased compared with control group. 2. The Osteoid Thickness was increased in experimental group compared with control group at 1, 3, 4 and 5 weeks of fracture. Expecially at 1 and 5 weeks Osteoid Thickness in experimental group significantly increased compared with control group. 3. The Callus Thickness was not significantly changed in experimental and control group from 1 to 5 weeks of fracture. 4. The MAR in experimental group was significantly increased compared with control group after 4 weeks of fracture. 5. In histomorphology from 4 days to 3 weeks of fracture, callus formation, osteoid formation and maturity in experimental group was rapidly stimulated compared with control group. From above result, we expect development of a new stimulator healing fracture by using pyrite.
The purpose of this study This experimental study was designed to investigate the effects of Oryungsan on the weight and histological changes in liver, epididymal fat and lipid metabolism and urine hormone in obese rats induced by high fat diet. Methods Total population of sixty male rats(Sprague-Dawley) were utilized for this investigation. All rats selected for this study were ten weeks old with weight of 250+ 5g. The first group of twenty rats(Normal group) were fed with normal diet(Samyang Co. Korea), second group of twenty rats(Control group) were fed with high fat diet(Harlan, TD94095, USA), and the remaining twenty rats(Sample group) fed with high fat diet and the Oryungsan. The measurement has been performed on (1) the weight of epididymal fat pad with electric weight gauge(Librorel-1200H, Shimadzu, Japan) (2) the average size and the number of epididymal fat cells with light microscope(Olympus, Japan) and Computer Image Analysis System, Leica Q500MC, German) (3) the area % of fat drops in hepatic lobule with light microscope and computer image analysis system (4) the quantity of total cholesterol in serum on enzyme C-Allian system (5) the quantity of triglyceride in serum on enzyme method Van Handel system (6) the quantity of free fatty acid in serum on enzyme method Noma A system (7) the quantity of total lipid in serum on Sulfo-phospho-vanillin method (8) the quantity of phospholipid in serum on enzyme method (9) the quantity of HDL-cholesterol in serum on enzyme method (10) the quantity of caterholamine in urine on HPLC method external standard system. Results 1. It showed significant evidence that high fat diet conjunction with Oryungsan decreased weight of rats compare to control group. 2. It showed significant evidence that high fat diet conjunction with Oryungsan decreased epididymal fat pad weight, the average size of epididyma1 fat cells and the number of epididymal fat cells compare to control group. 3. It showed significant evidence that high fat diet conjunction with Oryungsan decreased the area % of fat drops in hepatic lobule compare to control group. 4. It showed significant evidence that high fat diet conjunction with Oryungsan decreased the total cholesterol, triglyceride, free fatty acid and total lipid, phospholipid in serum compare to control group. It increased HDL-cholesterol in serum compare to control group. 5. It showed significant evidence that high fat diet conjunction with Oryungsan decreased epinephrine in urine compare to control group. Conclusion Based on these results, it is proved that Oryunsan decreased the weight of fat, the size of fat cells and the number of fat cells. So it is concluded that the clinical application of Oryungsan can help the treatment of obesity.
