• W(110) 표면에 CO의 흡착

        이경희,유위량,한현석,부진효,이순보,곽현태 성균관대학교 기초과학연구소 1998 論文集 Vol.49 No.-

The interaction of CO with W(110) surface was investigated through LEED, TDS, and photoelectron spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation under UHV condition. After CO saturation at RT, two desorption states, called α and β , were observed at about 400 and 1150 K in thermal desorption spectra, respectively. The kinetics of 3-CO followed the first order kinetics, indicating the existence of molecular CO on W(110) surface. This is contrary to the previous results. The O 1s BE(binding energy) of CO adsorbed on W(110) surface at room temperature was 529.9 eV. On the other hand, the O 1s BE of β-CO after heating to 900 K was different from that of oxygen adsorbed W(110) surface, suggesting a different adsorption state. According to the UP valence band spectra, we observed two peaks at near -10.7 eV (4σ) and -7.0 eV (5σ+1π), indicating the molecular adsorption of CO at room temperature. Furthermore we could see the 4σ peak at the various photon energy and elevated temperatures. Comparing the energy separation, Δ(4σ-1π) , between 4σ and 1π UP peaks of chemisorbed CO, we found that an increased separation reflects an decreased C-O bond strength. Therefore on the basis of TDS and photoelectron spectroscopy, we could suggest that β state of CO on W(110) may not be dissociated and has an adsorption geometry of lying-down mode.

      • Study and Experiment on Detection of Nick inside of Porcelain with Acoustic Emission

Wei JIN,Fen LI 한국멀티미디어학회 2006 한국멀티미디어학회 국제학술대회 Vol.2006 No.-

a usual acoustic emission (AE) event has two widely characterized parameters in time domain, peak amplitude and event duration. But noise in AE measuring may disturb the signals with its parameters and aggrandize the signal incertitude. Experiment activity of detection of the nick inside of porcelain with AE was made and study on AE signal processing with statistic be presented in this paper in order to pick-up information expected from the signal with noise. Effort is concentrated on developing a novel arithmetic to improve extraction of the characteristic from stochastic signal and to enhance the veracity of detection. The main purpose discussed in this paper is to treat with signals on amplitudes with statistic mutuality and power density spectrum in frequency domain, and farther more to select samples for neural networks training by means of least-squares algorithm between real measuring signal and deterministic signals under laboratory condition. By seeking optimisation with the algorithm, the parameters representing characteristic of the porcelain object are selected, while the stochastic interfere be weakened, then study for detection on neural networks is developed based on processing above.

Cat fertilization by mouse sperm injection

        Jin, Yong-Xun,Cui, Xiang-Shun,Yu, Xian-Feng,Lee, Sung-Hyun,Wang, Qing-Ling,Gao, Wei-Wei,Xu, Yong-Nan,Sun, Shao-Chen,Kong, IL-Keun,Kim, Nam-Hyung Cambridge University Press 2012 Zygote Vol.20 No.4

        Summary
Interspecies intracytoplasmic sperm injection has been carried out to understand species-specific differences in oocyte environments and sperm components during fertilization. While sperm aster organization during cat fertilization requires a paternally derived centriole, mouse and hamster fertilization occur within the maternal centrosomal components. To address the questions of where sperm aster assembly occurs and whether complete fertilization is achieved in cat oocytes by interspecies sperm, we studied the fertilization processes of cat oocytes following the injection of cat, mouse, or hamster sperm. Male and female pronuclear formations were not different in the cat oocytes at 6 h following cat, mouse or hamster sperm injection. Microtubule asters were seen in all oocytes following intracytoplasmic injection of cat, mouse or hamster sperm. Immunocytochemical staining with a histone H3-m2K9 antibody revealed that mouse sperm chromatin is incorporated normally with cat egg chromatin, and that the cat eggs fertilized with mouse sperm enter metaphase and become normal 2-cell stage embryos. These results suggest that sperm aster formation is maternally dependent, and that fertilization processes and cleavage occur in a non-species specific manner in cat oocytes.

Action path and mechanism of segment joints in the failure history of shield tunnel lining

        Wei Jin,Xinping Dong,Biao Hu,Jinjin Zhang 대한토목학회 2023 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.27 No.7

Focusing on the failure history of single-ring segmental lining structure, the action path andmechanism of segment joint on the segment bending moment was investigated in this study. The explicit equations of segment bending moment increment difference and segmentbending moment diffusion coefficient were derived, and the causes of segment bendingmoment state variation in high load level were studied. In the failure history of segmentaltunnel lining, the bending moment variation was mainly controlled by the bending momentincrement difference per unit time (IND). IND was mainly controlled by the relative stiffnessratio of segment joints and their derivative. The action path of segment joints on segmentinternal force can be divided into: 1) the opening and yielding of segment joints, 2) theattenuation of rotational stiffness of segment joints, 3) the change of relative stiffness ratio andits derivative, 4) the IND value of non-zero, and 5) the drastic change of segment bendingmoment state. Furthermore, the rotation stiffness of the segment joint attenuated, and thenthe acceleration variation of segment bending moment was caused by segment joint effectsbecause IND was not equal to 0, i.e., the segment bending moment increased or decreasedsharply.

      • Insights from 295 diverse origin rice to elucidate chloroplast variation and evolution based on whole genome re-sequencing

        Wei Tong,Tae-Sung Kim,Yong-Jin Park 한국육종학회 2014 한국육종학회 심포지엄 Vol.2014 No.07

Chloroplast (cp) DNA sequence data are a versatile tool for plant identification, barcoding and establishing genetic relationships among plant species. Different chloroplast loci have been utilized to infer evolutionary relationship of plant species. Although the overall structure of the chloroplast genome is generally well conserved, a number of mutations have been observed. Thus, documentation of chloroplast sequence variation has also been an valuable asset in plant population and evolutionary studies for over two decades. Recently, advance in chloroplast genome assembly from whole genome NGS data has become available. In the present study, chloroplast variations among 295 diverse origin accessions were detected based on Oryza rufipogon, which thought to be the progenitor of cultivated rice.. Variation calling was carried out using the whole genome re-sequencing data of those accessions along with the five rice reference cp genomes. Phylogenetic and evolution analysis of the six references and 295 accessions were performed using the whole reference genome sequence and the variation data, respectively. Also, nucleotide polymorphisms of 295 rice accessions were validated by using previously characterized 50 ecotypes. Differential SNP frequency across the rice cp genome suggests a regional dependent preferential high variation occurrence during the evolution of chloroplast

Valve core shapes analysis on flux through control valves in nuclear power plants

        Jin-yuan Qian,Cong-wei Hou,Juan Mu,Zhi-xin Gao,Zhi-jiang Jin 한국원자력학회 2020 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.52 No.10

Control valves are widely used to regulate fluid flux in nuclear power plants, and there are more than1500 control valves in the primary circuit of one nuclear power plant. With their help, the flux can beregulated to a specific level of water or steam to guarantee the energy efficiency and safety of the nuclearpower plant. The flux characteristics of the control valve mainly depend on the valve core shape. In orderto analyze the effects of valve core shapes on flux characteristics of control valves, this paper focuses onthe valve core shapes. To begin with, numerical models of different valve core shapes are established, andresults are compared with the ideal flux characteristics curve for the purpose of validation. Meanwhile, the flow fields corresponding to different valve core shapes are investigated. Moreover, relationshipsbetween the valve core opening and the outlet flux under different valve core shapes are carried out. Theflux characteristics curve and equation are proposed to predict the outlet flux under different valve coreopenings. This work can benefit the further rese

Electronic Structures and Optical Properties of CuSCN with Cu Vacancies

        Wei Jin,Guo-Qing Yue,Fu-Shun Ke,Song Wu,Hai-Bin Zhao,Liang-Yao Chen,Song-You Wang,Yu Jia 한국물리학회 2012 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.60 No.8

Based on density functional theory (DFT) within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) using the CASTEP code, we calculated the formation energy of a Cu vacancy, as well as the band structure and the optical properties of β-CuSCN with Cu vacancies. Removal a Cu atom from the 32-site and the 72-site supercell results in an enlargement of the band-gap and a slight relaxation in the lattice parameter. An accepter level above the valence band maximum is observed in the 32-site supercell with a Cu vacancy, which results in the onset of a small absorption pre-peak at 0.65 eV.

Prognostic Value of Baseline and Interim Total Metabolic Tumor Volume and Total Lesion Glycolysis Measured on 18F-FDG PET-CT in Patients with Follicular Lymphoma

        Jin-Hua Liang,Yun-Ping Zhang,Jun Xia,Chong-Yang Ding,Wei Wu,Li Wang,Lei Cao,Hua-Yuan Zhu,Lei Fan,Tian-Nv Li,Jian-Yong Li,Wei Xu 대한암학회 2019 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.51 No.4

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic significance of total metabolic tumor volume (TMTV) and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) in patients with follicular lymphoma (FL) at baseline and mid-treatment with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET-CT) scans. Materials and Methods The study analyzed data from 48 patients with FL who were treated in Jiangsu Province Hospital and reviewed their baseline PET-CT scans. TMTV and TLG were computed by using the absolute value of 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 thresholding method, respectively. Results Median age was 53 years, 75.0% of patients had stage III to IV disease, 43.8% had a Follicular Lymphoma International Prognostic Index 1 (FLIPI1) score of 3 to 5 and 20.8% had a FLIPI2 score of 3 to 5. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed the optimal cut-off values for TMTV3.0 and TLG3.0 were 476.4 (sensitivity, 85.7%; specificity, 78.0%; area under the curve [AUC], 0.760; p=0.003) and 2,676.9 (sensitivity, 71.4%; specificity, 78.0%; AUC, 0.760; p=0.003). On multivariable analysis, TMTV3.0 and TLG3.0 were independent predictors of both progression-free survival (PFS) (hazard ratio [HR], 5.406; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.326 to 22.040; p=0.019 and HR, 6.502; 95% CI, 1.079 to 39.182; p=0.042) and overall survival (OS) (HR, 4.111; 95% CI, 1.125 to 15.027; p=0.033 and HR, 5.885; 95% CI, 1.014 to 34.148; p=0.049). ROC curve analysis showed the optimal cut-off values for TMTV3.0 and TLG3.0 were 66.3% (sensitivity, 85.7%; specificity, 63.4%; AUC, 0.774; p < 0.001) and 64.5% (sensitivity, 85.7%; specificity, 65.9%; AUC, 0.777; p < 0.001). Conclusion Baseline TMTV and TLG are strong predictors of PFS and OS in FL. Furthermore, interim TMTV (TMTV > 66.3%) and TLG (TLG > 64.5%) reduction are valuable tools for early treatment response assessment in FL patients.
