        현대 여성 컬렉션에 나타난 키덜트적 표현 방법 및 표현 특성

        The purpose of this study is to delineate and analyze the expression of the kidult and its characteristics and thereby provide data to be used for fashion design in various manners as well as to suggest creative and varied possibilities of fashion design. As a way to study, the author of this paper organized the general terms, concepts and definitions concerning the kidult in the previous papers and journals. The data was collected from the collections represent the characteristics of kidult especially from 2006 to 2015. The results are as follows: Firstly, The characters stimulating the innocence of children were used the most for infantile expression. Parody used characters in the movie or famous logos. Deformation was used to create designs by way of distortion and deformation. Exaggeration thereby showing visually strong impression and inducing surprise and unexpectedness. Depaysement was useful to let us describe concepts and enhance our infinite creativity and interests about objects using surrealistic. Secondly, Infantile characteristics used the images of toys with infantile imagination and sense of humor. Fantasy introduced objects or expressed a dream-like feeling. Unexpectedness used two-faced ideas or conflicting ideas to express conflicts, collision and an interchange with heterogeneous things, avoiding the limit of size and the simplicity of materials. Parody used jocular expressions, satire and ironic expressions to express the original image in a fun manner. Exaggeration transformed changed the structure to restructure objects in a subjective and creative manner, thereby expressing creative patterns using various subject matters by way of special modeling or distortion and transformation.

        Over-expression of JrsHSP17.3 gene from Juglans regia confer the tolerance to abnormal temperature and NaCl stresses

        Small heat shock proteins (sHSPs) are an HSP subgroup and involved in environmental stress response. In the current study, to understand the role of sHSP protein in a widely distribution nut woody tree, a sHSP gene was cloned from Juglans regia (JrsHSP17.3, GeneBank No.: KT277704). Compared with control condition, the expression of JrsHSP17.3 was induced to 58.1-fold (6 h) in the roots, 86.8-fold in the stems (9 h), 50.9-fold in the leaves (6 h) under 10°C; and was up-regulated to 2.9- ∼ 79.9-fold response to 40°C for 3∼9 h; meanwhile, it was transcribed to 5.9 - ∼39.7-fold under 9 h NaCl treatment, suggesting the potential role of JrsHSP17.3 to cold, heat and NaCl stimulus. Further, JrsHSP17.3 transgenic yeasts showed improved tolerance to freezing, heat and salt stresses compared with control yeast. JrsHSP17.3 was transient over-expressed in J. regia leaves. The leaves non-transgenic (NT) and vector prokII transgenic (empty, PT) were used as control. The expression of JrsHSP17.3 was 81.6-, 125.4-, and 54.2-fold of the control lines under normal conditions, indicating the success over-expression of JrsHSP17.3. Cell damage staining and physiological index determination showed that JrsHSP17.3 transformed lines, NT and PT displayed no obvious difference under control conditions, however, after treated with 16°C, 40°C and NaCl, JrsHSP17.3 transformed lines displayed weaker cell damage, lower level of electrolyte leakages (EL) rate, malondialdehyde (MDA) and H2O2 content, and higher activities of catalase (CAT), glutathione transferase (GST), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) as well as more accumulation of proline than NT and PT. Meanwhile, NT and PT were similar and showed no significant difference under all conditions. All of these results indicated that JrsHSP17.3 can improve plant tolerance to abnormal temperatures and NaCl stresses, it represents a potential candidate gene for molecular breeding to enhance stress tolerance in plants.

        Combined fine-needle aspiration with core needle biopsy for assessing thyroid nodules: a more valuable diagnostic method?

        Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of combined fine-needle aspiration (FNA) with core needle biopsy (CNB) in thyroid nodules. Methods: FNA and CNB were performed simultaneously on 703 nodules. We compared the proportions of inconclusive results and the diagnostic performance for malignancy among FNA, CNB, and combined FNA/CNB for different nodule sizes. Results: Combined FNA/CNB showed lower proportions of inconclusive results than CNB for all nodules (2.8% vs. 5.7%, P<0.001), nodules ≤1.0 cm (4.9% vs. 7.3%, P=0.063), nodules >1.0 cm (2.0% vs. 5.0 %, P<0.001), nodules ≤1.5 cm (3.8% vs. 7.9 %, P<0.001), and nodules >1.5 cm (2.1% vs. 3.9 %, P=0.016). The sensitivity of combined FNA/CNB in predicting malignancy was significantly higher than that of CNB (89.0% vs. 80.0%, P<0.001) and FNA (89.0% vs. 58.1%, P<0.001) for all nodules. Within American College of Radiology Thyroid and Imaging Reporting and Data System grades 4-5, in the subgroup of nodules ≤1.5 cm, combined FNA/ CNB showed the best sensitivity in predicting malignancy (91.4%), significantly higher than that of CNB (81.0%, P<0.001) and FNA (57.8%, P<0.001). However, in the subgroup of nodules >1.5 cm, the difference between combined FNA/CNB and CNB was not significant (84.2% vs. 78.9%, P=0.500). Conclusion: Regardless of nodule size, combined FNA/CNB tended to yield lower proportions of inconclusive results than CNB or FNA alone and exhibited higher performance in diagnosing malignancy. The combined FNA/CNB technique may be a more valuable diagnostic method for nodules ≤1.5 cm and nodules with a risk of malignancy than CNB and FNA alone.

        Rapid and massive throughput analysis of a constant volume high-pressure gas injection system

        Fusion power shutdown system (FPSS) is a safety system to stop plasma in case of accidents or incidents. The gas injection system for the FPSS presented in this work is designed to research the flow developmentin a closed system. As the efficiency of the system is a crucial property, plenty of experiments areexecuted to get optimum parameters. In this system, the flow is driven by the pressure difference betweena gas storage tank and a vacuum vessel with a source pressure. The idea is based on a constantvolume system without extra source gases to guarantee rapid response and high throughput. Amongthem, valves and gas species are studied because their properties could influence the velocity of the fluidfield. Then source pressures and volumes are emphasized to investigate the volume flow rate of theinjection. The source pressure has a considerable effect on the injected volume. From the data, properparameters are extracted to achieve the best performance of the FPSS. Finally, experimental results areused as a quantitative benchmark for simulations which can add our understanding of the inner gas flowin the pipeline. In generally, there is a good consistency and the obtained correlations will be applied infurther study and design for the FPSS

        Evidence for the Presence of Long-Lived Plasma Cells in Nasal Polyps

        Purpose: Plasma cells and immunoglobulins (Igs) play a pivotal role in the induction and maintenance of chronic inflammation in nasal polyps. During secondary immune responses, plasma cell survival and Ig production are regulated by the local environment. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the presence of long-lived plasma cells (LLPCs) and specific survival niches for LLPCs in human nasal polyps. Methods: Nasal mucosal samples were cultured with an air-liquid interface system and the Ig levels in culture supernatants were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The characteristics of LLPCs in nasal polyps were determined by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The expression of neurotrophins as well as their receptors was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blotting. Results: The numbers of CD138+ total plasma cells and BCL2+ plasma cells were increased in both eosinophilic and non-eosinophilic nasal polyps compared with those in normal tissues. The production of IgG, IgA, and IgE was detected in culture supernatants even after a 32-day culture of nasal polyps. Although the total numbers of plasma cells were decreased in nasal polyps after culture, the numbers of BCL2+ plasma cells remained stable. The expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) as well as tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) A, a high-affinity receptor for NGF, was upregulated in both eosinophilic and non-eosinophilic nasal polyps. In addition, BCL2+ plasma cell numbers were positively correlated with NGF and TrkA mRNA expression in nasal mucosal tissues. Polyp plasma cells had the expression of TrkA. Conclusions: Human nasal polyps harbor a population of LLPCs and NGF may be involved in their prolonged survival. LLPCs may be a novel therapeutic target for suppressing the local Ig production in nasal polyps.

        Improving the Carbon Macrosegregation in High-Carbon Steel by an Electric Current Pulse

        Thus far, the relationship between the macrosegregation and refinement of solidification structures in metals is not clearly understood. In this paper, the effect of an electric current pulse (ECP) on the refinement of the solidification structure as well as carbon macrosegregation in high-carbon steel was investigated. The experimental results revealed that if central porosity exists in the solidification structure, the carbon macrosegregation in high-carbon steel cannot be improved by applying an ECP, although increased equiaxed dendrites and a reduced primary dendritic arm in a solidification structure were obtained after an ingot was exposed to an ECP. In contrast, after central porosity was eliminated, carbon macrosegregation was improved through the refinement of the solidification structure in high-carbon steel through the use of an ECP.       • Expression of IER3 in Primary Hepatocarcinoma: Correlation with Clinicopathological Parameters

        Background: Studies indicate the immediate early response gene 3 (IER3) is involved in many biological processes. Recently, it was discovered that IER3 plays an important role in tumorigenesis and tumor progression. Thus it may be a valuable biomarker in tumor. This study was designed to investigate the expression status of IER3 in primary hepatocarcinoma (PHC) and correlation with clinicopathological parameters. Materials and Methods: Real-time PCR was performed to evaluate the expression levels of IER3 in 62 pathologically diagnosed human PHC specimens. Results: A statistically significant association was disclosed between the expression of IER3 and P53 mutant protein (short for P53), Ki-67, EGFR and the biggest diameter, differentiation grade of tumor. Conclusions: This work is the first to shed light on the potential clinical usefulness of IER3, as an efficient tumor biomarker in PHC.

        Atrial fibrillation in critically ill patients who received prolonged mechanical ventilation: a nationwide inpatient report

        Background/Aims: To evaluate temporal trends of atrial fibrillation (AF) prevalence in critically ill patients who received prolonged mechanical ventilation (MV) in the United States. Methods: We used the 2008 to 2014 National Inpatient Sample to compute the weighted prevalence of AF among hospitalized adult patients on prolonged MV. We used multivariable-adjusted models to evaluate the association of AF with clinical factors, in-hospital mortality, hospitalization cost, and length of stay (LOS). Results: We identified 2,578,165 patients who received prolonged MV (21.27% of AF patients). The prevalence of AF increased from 14.63% in 2008 to 24.43% in 2014 (p for trend < 0.0001). Amongst different phenotypes of critically ill patients, the prevalence of AF increased in patients with severe sepsis, asthma exacerbation, congestive heart failure exacerbation, acute stroke, and cardiac arrest. Older age, male sex, white race, medicare access, higher income, urban teaching hospital setting, and Western region were associated with a higher prevalence of AF. AF in critical illness was a risk factor for in-hospital death (odds ratio, 1.13; 95% confidence interval, 1.11 to 1.15), but in-hospital mortality in critically ill patients with AF decreased from 11.6% to 8.3%. AF was linked to prolonged LOS (2%, p < 0.0001) and high hospitalization cost (4%, p < 0.0001). LOS (-1%, p < 0.0001) and hospitalization cost (-4%, p < 0.0001) decreased yearly. Conclusions: The prevalence of comorbid AF is increasing, particularly in older patients. AF may lead to poorer prognosis, and high-quality intensive care is imperative for this population.
