자동차 업계에서 전기차로의 전환은 KSAE 대학생 자작 자동차 대회에도 영향을 미쳐 대회에 참가하는 EV-formula팀이 증가하는 추세이다. 대다수의 참가팀은 리튬-이온 배터리를 사용하여 300v급의 배터리팩을 제작한다. 배터리의 발열은 안전과 직접적으로 연관되므로 방수, 방진 규정을 만족하는 배터리 팩 냉각기술은 필수적이다. 이 연구에서는 21700 리튬이온 배터리 팩의 냉각 성능 향상을 위한 해석과 실험을 진행하였다. 셀 온도에 따른 냉각 팬 PWM 제어를 통해 팬 소비 전력량 28.4%감소 및 셀 최고 온도 2℃ 감소를 검증하였다. 또한 Duct, Guide cover설계를 통해 내부 유동 개선을 CFD와 실제 제작으로 검증하였다.
Development of Mine Detection System for Mobile Robot System

This paper introduces a development process of a manipulator that is installed to a mobile robot system and used to detect explosive ordnance and dispose it. Based on system requirements, its boundary conditions are analyzed and the minimum driving ranges and RPMs of each joint are calculated. To choose the optimum actuators including reduction ratio’ of the gearbox, the advanced Straete et al.’ normalization method is used after conducting dynamic analysis. Two kinds of dynamic analyses are executed to confirm the result, one is MATLAB’ SimMechanics and the other one is PRO-Engineer’ Mechanism. Finally, structural analysis is conducted to verify the robustness of the designed system.

Independent inter-axles with through bevel gear type are not common for heavy duty vehicles. To increase ground clearance, to disconnect output power toward wheels for part time drive, to lock differential and to provide sufficient lubrication and cooling effect under high climate condition, the through bevel gears, dog clutches and lubrication pump for cooling can be applied to the inter-axle. Design processes and parameters in this research are available to use similar axles development.

Examination and study of drivetrain layout for special purpose vehicle is essential to select commercial off-the-shelf axles or to develop new axles. Operating environments for special vehicle are pavement rode, off road and water. Part time drives can be considered to enhance a fuel efficiency, handling, turning circle radius, etc. Main target in this study is a decision on the driving axles according to operating road conditions and to examine optimal axle models for each axle related to inter axle differential. Weighted value skill was mainly applied to drivetrain layout assessment. Design processes and parameters in this research are available to use similar drivetrain layout and to select suitable parts.

직사화기 사격통제장치에서 최적 설계를 위해서는 특정 오차요소가 명중률에 미치는 영향을 파악해야 한다. 이를 위해 가장 좋은 방법은 이들 오차요소에 대한 민감도 식을 구하는 것이나, 체계가 복잡하면 이를 정량적으로 유도하기가 쉽지 않다. 보통 제한된 운용조건에 대해 수치방법으로 민감도를 계산하며, 지상전투차량 등에서 널리 활용되고 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 다량의 시뮬레이션에 의존해야 하므로, 연산 시간이 많이 소요되고 데이터에 의존하므로, 대공화기와 같이 운용조건이 넓게 변화할 경우 민감도가 어떻게 변화할지 직관적으로 이해하는 데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문은 직사화기 탄도에 대한 닫힌 형태 탄도식을 유도하고, 이 식으로부터 오차요소별로 체계 종합오차에 대한 민감도 식을 유도하고, 이들의 영향을 종합하여 명중률을 계산하는 방법을 보인다. 유도된 민감도 식은 수치적분 방법과 달리 연산처리 시간이 짧으면서도 관련 변수 간 물리적 이해가 쉬워 체계설계 시 다양한 운용조건에 대해 편리하게 활용될 수가 있다. 30미리 탄에 대한시뮬레이션을 통해 본 논문의 유용성을 보인다. In the direct Gun Fire Control System(GFCS), it is essential to analyze the impact of the specific error components on the hit probability to optimize the system design. For this purpose the sensitivity equations of these error components are conveniently used, but it is too difficult to get those equations for the complex system with too many system elements. Normally sensitivity analysis is performed using numerical and statistical methods for the ground combat system. This method requires much computation, and makes us difficult to estimate the sensitivity change of specific error component intuitionally for the changing operating conditions. In this paper we propose a set of sensitivity equations deriving from closed form solution of the ballistic differential equation for the bullet. They are handy equations with very little computations, easy to understand the physical meaning of the related system variables. Some simulation results are shown to demonstrate usefulness of our algorithm for the 30mm projectile.

Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) by using Digital Human Modeling (DHM) tools in order to identify ergonomic problems. Background: Ergonomic evaluation is especially important in designing tactical military vehicles, since the operator will experience significantly high cognitive and physical workloads while he/she controls the vehicle in combat situations. Although human factors standards, including MIL STD-1472, provide guidance for military vehicle design, it is not always possible to directly apply these standards to designing Korean military vehicles (e.g., due to demographic differences). In the design process, the use of DHM provides many benefits including reduced development cost and quantitative ergonomic design evaluation. This study suggests some improvements based on the ergonomic evaluations by using DHM tools and ergonomics checklists. Method: The APC was evaluated by using DHM tools (RAMSIS™ and 3D SSPP™) in terms of physical workload in ingress/egress, visibility, clearance, and reachability. For control panel evaluation, checklists based on ergonomics guidelines were used. Conclusion: The improvements in multiple aspects of APC are main results of this study and they are expected to be widely used in the development of next tactical military vehicles. Application: The results could be used in establishing military guidelines for ergonomic military vehicle design suitable for Korean soldiers. The suggested improvements would relieve APC users’ physical and cognitive workload, which results in increasing survivability in highly stressful situation.

Traditionally, a design has been applied on a various defense area for the improvement of the mobility, reducing the radar detection area and other reasons. In case of Korean Wheeled Armored Vehicle(WAV), a design has been also applied for retaining the agility and threatening feature in the battlefield. However some figures has been changed because of constraints such as assembling and manufacturing in the development stage. Today, the government has planned to develop the Wheeled Armored Command Post Vehicle(CPV), a variant of WAV, and it is necessary to apply the latest design trend, which is suitable for the concept of the CPV, on it.
