저자들은 비호지킨씨 림프종 환자에서 항암 치료 후 질환의 진행성 병변과 감별을 요했던 우폐 중엽의 단발성 종괴를 흉강경하 생검으로 폐 효모균증을 확진하고 amphotericin B와 fluconazole로 치료한 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is monoclonal expansion of malignant B or T cells. The immunocompromised status in this disease is accompanied by many infections. The cryptococcosis, caused by Cryptococcus neoformans, frequently occurs in leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, sarcoidosis, diabetes mellitus, tuberculosis, and long-term steroid-using patients. Recent increasing incidence of fungal infection could be due to the spread of AIDS and transplantation. We experienced one patient with lung mass in Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma after three cycles of chemotherapy, which could not be discriminated from the newly developed lymphoma mass. Cryptococcus neoformans was isolated from the lung tissue obtained by thoracoscopic biopsy. Herein we report this case with brief review of pertinent literature.

We present a case of angiomyofibroblastoma of the vulva in a 32-year-old woman. The asymptomatic lesion measured 4×3cm and appeared as a gray-white myxoid mass on cut sections Histologically, it appeared as a relatively well-circumscribed spindle cell proliferation with alternating hypercellular and hypocellular areas and proliferation of thin-walled blood vessels. Immunohistochemically, the stromal cells expressed vimentin, CD34 and progesterone receptor, but not desmin, α-smooth muscle actin, S-100 protein and estrogen receptor. A 9 months intact male American bull dog with chief complaints of dry cough, dyspnea and fever was referred to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungnam National University. Based on the findings of physical examination, radiological examination, and blood and blood chemical examinations, the present patient was diagnosed into pulmonary edema secondary to primary bacterial and aspiration pneumonia. The patient was hospitalized and treated with buscopan, cephazolin and furosemide for 1 week. His activity and appetite was returned to normal and thoracic radiographs revealed that Jung was recovered to the normal condition after treatment for 7 days. The present patient was a case with pulmonary edema showed favorable therapeutic responses to proper medication.
운동의 가변성과 운동요소의 공동작용에 관한 연구: 비제어 다양체 분석을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 비제어 다양체(uncontrolled manifold) 가설의 소개와 이 가설을 간단한 인간의 손가락 과제에 적용하여 설명하는 데에 있다. 최근 운동제어 분야의 주요한 연구쟁점은 인간움직임 체계 내에서 실제로 제어되는 것이 무엇이며, 기본 단위로 구성된 다양한 동작들이 운동 과제를 성공적으로 수행하기 위하여 어떻게 협응되어지는 지에 대한 해답을 구하고자 하고 있다. ``공동작용(synergy)``의 의미는 이러한 질문에 대한 해답을 제시하기 위하여 사용되고 있다. 공동작용이란, 공통의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 기본 요소들이 함께 작용하는 방식으로 인간의 제어 체계는 여러 개의 기본 요소들(elementary variables)이 협응을 잘 이루도록 조정한다. 만약 주어진 과제가 여러 손가락으로 일정한 총 합력을 내는 것이라면, 각 손가락들이 발생하는 힘들의 수많은 다양한 조합들은 이 과제를 동일하게 만족시킬 수 있을 것이다. 왜냐하면 특정한 과제에 사용되는 기본 요소들의 수는(예, 두 손가락 혹은 세 손가락), 여러 손가락들이 생성하는 힘의 합력이라는 수행 과제를 만족시키는 제한요소들의 수보다 많기 때문이다. 이러한 현상을 운동요소 과잉의 문제(motor redundancy problem)라고 하며, 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 중추 신경계의 제어 방식은 비제어 다양체 분석을 통하여 정량화가 가능하다. 비제어 다양체 가설에서의 분석은 반복적인 시행에 걸친 기본 요소들의(예, 효과기 말단의 힘, 관절 위치 등) 동작의 공분산을(covariance) 수량화시킬 수 있으며, 공분산은 두 개의 구성요소로 구분된다: 1)수행 변인에 영향을 미치지 않는 분산(VUCM, ``good variance``), 그리고 2) 수행 변인에 영향을 미쳐 동작의 오류를 발생시키는 분산(VORT, ``bad variance``). 공동작용의 지수는 총 분산에 대한 VUCM과 VORT의 차이의 상대적인 양을 사용하며, 공동작용의 지수가 큰 경우 협응이 좋다는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 비제어 다양체 분석은 기본 변인들과 수행 변인 간의 변화의 관계가 선형적이라는 것을 전제하므로, 이러한 관계가 비선형적일 경우에는 비선형을 선형화하거나 비선형을 다룰 수 있는 다른 계산적 접근이 필요하다. The aims of this study were to introduce uncontrolled manifold (UCM) hypothesis and to apply for this hypothesis to simple human multi-finger tasks. The main questions in contemporary motor control theories have concerned what is actually being controlled within the human movement system and how the various actions of the units are coordinated to perform a motor-task successfully. The notion of "synergy" has been introduced to answer the questions. According to the synergy, the human controller coordinates several elemental variables in such a way that elemental variables work together in order to achieve a common goal. If the given task is to produce steady-state levels of total forces as accurately as possible by pressing with either two fingers or three fingers, many different combinations of finger forces are equally able to satisfy the task because the number of elemental variables (two or three finger forces) which involved in a particular task is greater than the number of constraints to be satisfied (sum of finger forces). This issue has been termed as motor redundancy problem. Analysis within the UCM hypothesis allowed quantifying co-variation of actions of elemental variables (e.g., end-effector forces, joint positions, etc) across repetitive trials decomposing variances into two components: 1) variance which does not affect the performance variable (VUCM, good variance) and 2) variance that affects the combined actions which is related to the performance error (VORT, bad variance). Further, presence of synergy and its strength were quantified by the relative amounts of VUCM and VORT with respect to the total variance (greater index=better coordination). The UCM analysis assumes that the relations between changes in elemental variables and a performance variable are linear (i.e., linear approximation). Thus, if the relations are non-linear, a different computational approach is necessary.

Spinal hemangioma is the uncommon, slowly growing benign tumor that arises from the blood vessels and commonly located in thoracic spine. We have recently experienced a case of capillary Hemangioma in intradural extramedullary space of thoracic spine level. The patient presented with a slowly progressive weakness of both lower extremities and hypesthesia below T6 dermatome. The plain X-ray films, thoracic spine myelography and CT scan disclosed an intradural mass at T5 level. The mass was surgically removed and conformed by histological examination.
Handling Selfishness in Replica Allocation over a Mobile Ad Hoc Network

<P>In a mobile ad hoc network, the mobility and resource constraints of mobile nodes may lead to network partitioning or performance degradation. Several data replication techniques have been proposed to minimize performance degradation. Most of them assume that all mobile nodes collaborate fully in terms of sharing their memory space. In reality, however, some nodes may selfishly decide only to cooperate partially, or not at all, with other nodes. These selfish nodes could then reduce the overall data accessibility in the network. In this paper, we examine the impact of selfish nodes in a mobile ad hoc network from the perspective of replica allocation. We term this selfish replica allocation. In particular, we develop a selfish node detection algorithm that considers partial selfishness and novel replica allocation techniques to properly cope with selfish replica allocation. The conducted simulations demonstrate the proposed approach outperforms traditional cooperative replica allocation techniques in terms of data accessibility, communication cost, and average query delay.</P>

<P>The sub-50 nm templates are successfully fabricated using hydrogen silsesquioxane (HSQ) and silicon nitride on silicon substrate. The HSQ template is directly patterned by e-beam direct writing. The cured HSQ pattern is used for the template of nanoimprint process. The silicon nitride template is reactively ion etched by ZEP resist mask pattern which is prepared by e-beam direct writing using ZEP resist. The line widths of HSQ templates and ZEP patterns after developments are between 22-30 nm and 24-30 nm, respectively. The line width of silicon nitride templates without performing descum is same as that of the ZEP pattern but shows a rough surface. When plasma descum was performed before RIE, the line width of silicon nitride templates increased from 27 nm to 35 nm and has a clean surface. The HSQ template fabrication results in this study will be promise for sub-nm imprint process.</P>
