Suggested Integrative Approach for Hand Abscess with Cupping Therapy: a case study
Hussein Emad Ahmed Fathy,Negm Shahira Hassan Ibrahim,Shaikh Tabish Ishaq,Saleh Ahmed Helmy,Hussein Emad Ahmed Fathy 대한약침학회 2023 Journal of pharmacopuncture Vol.26 No.1
A forty-three-year-old male patient was diagnosed with an acute abscess in the dorsum of the right hand. On the 5th day of conventional pharmacological therapy the patient was still suffering, and was referred to the Outpatient department (OPD) to evacuate and drain the abscess and treat the edema around the area with Hijama (wet cupping therapy, WCT). The hand abscess was successfully cured within a week using an integrative approach of wet cupping therapy together with conventional drug therapy.
The changing political trends in erstwhile FATA: a study of the last three elections
Ahmed Raja Qaiser,Ishaq Mohammad,Shoaib Muhammad 한국외국어대학교 국제지역연구센터 2021 International Area Studies Review Vol.24 No.4
This study investigates the changing political trends in erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Analysis of the last three elections (2008, 2013, 2018) shows a substantial change in the region. The tribal structure, local traditions, power arrangement and electoral practices have changed significantly over a decade. The extension of the Political Parties Order to the region and its merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stimulated political activities in the area that increased the political awareness of tribal people. The results of the 2013 and 2018 elections highlight the changes. Electoral activities, women participation and voter turnout increased with every election. Tribal youth joined existing political forums to demand their democratic rights. A significant percentage of the young, educated Pashtuns joined the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement in its demand for improved governance.
Synthesis of thin diamond films from faceted nanosized crystallites
Sobia Allah Rakha,Shumin Yang,Zhoutong He,Ishaq Ahmed,Dezhang Zhu,Jinlong Gong 한국물리학회 2009 Current Applied Physics Vol.9 No.3
Diamond films consist of crystallites having nanometer grains were deposited using low methane concentration by hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD). The results show that films consist of nanodiamond grains with grain sizes ranging from 20 nm to 200 nm having thickness dependent size. Increasing the deposition time, the grain size increases and hence the hickness of the film increases. The diamond nucleation (nucleation density 1010 cm-2) is comparable to that obtained by biasing the substrate. The use of low methane concentration for the formation of nano crystallites improves the quality of the film as indicated by Raman spectroscopy. The distance between the filament and substrate is increased while maintaining the substrate temperature. The effects of this large separation on the gas phase chemistry are discussed which helps to understand the reduced size of the crystallites under input gas ratios when microcrystallines are obtained.
