This study aims to investigate the aspects of sociopragmatic transfer in Korean ESL/EFL requests through the empirical data collection procedures. The assumption is that the pragmalinguistic transfer in the learners' interlanguage can be motivated from the sociopragmatic transfer in the evaluation of the related contextual factors. The hypothesis is that EFL learners show more similarity of perceptual patterns to those of L1 group, comparing with the ESL learners. The main findings are: (1) The difference in learning context has some impact on the perceptual assessment of the sociopragmatic patterns of learners' requesting behaviors; (2) While sociopragmatic transfer in assessment of contextual variables was found in both learner groups, i.e. EFL group and ESL group, influence from Korean was considerably more pronounced in the EFL learners' perceptual assessment for the related variables. The result suggests that learning context can be assumed to have considerable role in shaping learners' perceptual patterns of the target language norms at the pragmalinguistic and sociopragmatic level, and hence have an impact on the learners' communicative behavior.
Implementation of Emergency Situation Detection System for Agricultural Worker’s Falling Accident

Objective: 본 연구는 농업인 응급상황 감지 모니터링 구축의 일환으로 신체 착용형 감지센서 기술을 이용하여 낙상사고 시에 위험상태를 알려주는 시스템을 제안하였다. Background: 농업인 사고유형 중에 50% 이상이 전도 및 추락 등에 의한 재해로 조사되었다. 이와 같이 농업인의 낙상사고가 빈번하게 발생하고 있으나 구조지체로 인해 중대사고로 이어져 응급상황 대처에 한계가 있는 게 현실이다. Method: 이에 본 연구에서는 인체 행위 및 상태를 감지하고, 응급상황으로 판단될 경우에 신속한 정보전달이 가능한 응급상황감지 시스템을 개발하였다. 또한 낙상 감지 알고리즘 설계, 제3자 또는 관련 기관에 정보 전달 체계 구축, 그리고 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하였다. Results: 연구결과를 통해 낙상사고에 의한 응급상황 발생시 자동적으로 사고정보를 실시간 전달이 가능함을 보였다. Conclusion: 농업인의 낙상사고에 의한 2차 재해를 예방하기 위한 위험상황감지 시스템은 안전한 농작업이 가능할 것으로 기대된다. Application: 본 연구 결과는 ICT 기반의 센서를 활용한 농작업 사고 예방에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
IoT 기반의 농촌지역 농업기계 관련 교통사고 안전 시스템 설계에 관한 연구

Objective: This study proposed an IoT-based traffic safety management system appropriate for the environment as a whole and specifically roads in rural area. Background: A recent increase in agricultural machine-related traffic accidents resulting from a rapid rise in motorized agricultural machines has become an important issue in rural societies. The mortality rate of agricultural-related traffic accidents is very high and such accidents incur loss of labor force and a lot of costs, and therefore measures to reduce such accidents are required. Method: This study analyzed the types of agricultural machine-related traffic accidents aimed at designing an agricultural machine-related traffic safety system appropriate for topographic characteristics of rural areas, and presented an effective agricultural machine-related traffic accident prevention system using IoT technology. Results: This study proposed a traffic safety maintenance system utilizing IoT technology to connect between terminals installed on agricultural machines and terminals for providing traffic information, and designed the structure of the system, its communication method, hardware and software, and user interface. Besides, this study presented a real-time monitoring system that senses agricultural machine-related machine accidents and makes it possible to rapidly cope with them. Conclusion: The IoT-based traffic safety system for agricultural machines proposed by this study is expected to become an effective measure to prevent agricultural machine-related traffic accidents. Application: The results of this study will be able to be utilized to construct a system to keep traffic safety via IoT-based agricultural machines.
농업인의 안전활동을 위한 ICT 기반의 농업시설 안전관리 시스템에 관한 연구

Objective: This study proposed a system for safe management of agricultural facilities whereby safety accidents of farmers are prevented from harmful factors of agricultural facilities and relevant hazardous situations, and efficient reaction is made possible when an accident occurs. Background: Recent development of information and communication technology (ICT) brought groundbreaking development of cutting-edge technologies such as the internet of things (IoT) and ubiquitous sensor network, and application of such technologies is expanding to the area of industrial safety. In particular, accidents from the hazardous environment surrounding agricultural facilities, say, from harmful gases, are frequently taking place and therefore development of services for safe farming work is required. Method: This study examined the types of safety accidents related to agricultural facilities occurring during farming work and designed a ICT-based system for safe management of accidents. Results: This study presents a model of such system and the model has the following functions: detection of harmful environment and conditions dangerous to farmers with sensor technologies; communication network technology for prevention of and fast coping with accidents; and user interface aimed at monitoring harmful environment and dangerous situations. Conclusion: The ICT-based system for safe management of agricultural facilities proposed in this study is expected to be applied as an application technology for safe agricultural activities. Application: The outcome of this study will be useful to develop a convergent ICTbased system for the prevention of safety accidents related to agricultural facilities.
