Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disorder of multiple organ systems that has unknown cause, has an episodic relapsing or chronic course. The authors experienced one case of sarcoidosis in 27-year-old female who had a mild URI symptoms, facial palsy, and decreased visual acuity. Ocular examination revealed anterior uveitis, iris nodule, and abnormal fundus findings such as hyperemic disc, vitritis, perivasculitis, intraretinal hemorrhage, chorioretinal nodules, Systemic manifestations showed bilateral hilar lymphadnopathy and pulmonary infiltraion. Histopathologic finding of transbronchial lung biopsy(TBLB) revealed non-casesting granuloma and increased CD4 : CD8 ratio in Bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL). In the course of systemic steroid therapy. above signs were improved gradually, but exacerbated when discontiuned steroid because of poor cooperation. And so, we confirmed the ocular sarcoidosis.
허약노인의 복합운동프로그램 참여가 체력, 일상생활수행능력 및 인지상태에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 허약 노인을 대상으로 복합운동프로그램 실시에 따른 체력, 일상생활수행능력과 인지상태의 변화를 알아보는데그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 21명의 허약노인을 대상으로 하였으며, 복합운동프로그램 운동그룹 12명, 통제그룹 9명으로 구성하였다. 복합운동프로그램은 유산소 운동 중심의 노인건강체조와 인지상태향상과 체력 향상을 위한 4색 래더 운동으로 구성되어 있으며 주2회, 1회 60분 운동을 10주간 실시하였다. 운동 프로그램 적용 전·후에 근력(상지, 하지), 유연성(앉아서 윗몸 앞으로 굽히기), 민첩성(전신반응시간), 보행능력, 협응성(Timed Up and Go test), 일상생활수행능력, 인지상태를 측정하였다. 허약 노인에 복합운동프로그램의실시 유무에 따른 집단 간의 차이를 연구한 결과 운동그룹은 상지근력(악력)에서 통제 그룹과 비교하여 유의한 향상이 있었고, 일상생활수행능력(ADL) 역시 유의한 향상을 나타냈다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 허약 노인의 복합운동프로그램 참여는 근력(악력) 향상에효과가 있으며, 다양한 신체 기능 및 인지상태 저하를 위한 예방 차원에서 효과가 있었다. The purpose of this research was to examine changes in the physical fitness, activities of daily living performance, and cognitive status of the frail elderly by combined exercise programs. The combined exercise program consisted of an aerobic exercise for the elderly and a four-color ladder exercise for improving of cognitive ability and physical fitness. Twenty-one frail elderly participated in this study, they were divided into 12 exercise groups and nine control groups. The exercise group conducted the combined exercise program of 60 minutes, twice a week, for10 weeks, while the control group maintained their normal lives. Strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, ADL and MMSE-K were measured. Exercise group showed significant improvement in grip strength compared to control group. In addition, ADL showed significant improvement only in the exercise group. The results of this study showed that participation in the combined exercise program of the e l derl y was effective in improving the grip strength, and in preventing various physical functions and cognitive conditions decline.
Application of purified porcine collagen in patients with chronic refractory musculoskeletal pain

Background: This study aimed to assess the potential efficacy of purified porcine atelocollagen (PAC) for the management of refractory chronic pain due to suspected connective tissue damage. Methods: Patients treated with PAC were retrospectively evaluated. Patients with chronic refractory pain, suspected to have originated from musculoskeletal damage or defects with the evidence of imaging studies were included. Pain intensity, using the 11-point numerical rating scale (NRS), was assessed before the procedure, and 1 month after the last procedure. Results: Eighty-eight patients were finally included for investigation. The mean NRS score was decreased from 5.8 to 4.1 after 1 month of PAC injection (P < 0.001). No independent factor was reported to be directly related to the decrease in NRS score by more than half. Conclusions: Application of PAC may have potential as a treatment option for refractory chronic musculoskeletal pain. PAC might promote tissue recovery, act as a scaffold for repair, or directly reduce inflammation.

Occupant restraint system must be considered the injury level that it is due to the inflator output and seat belt usage at the high / low crash speed. It includes passenger occupant detection system and seat track position sensor (STPS) in order to meet NHTSA proposed new air bag requirements for passenger cars and light truck. This paper suggests airbag threshold determination methodology using CAE tool. Occupant Analysis's main purpose is to determine the initial thresholds, which would optimize speed zone per airbag fire/no-fire and different inflator outputs on the various vehicle crash speed. Crash pulses was from the real crash data at the some testing points such like 10, 15, 19 and 30mph frontal impact and analysis was run per each crash speed from 10mph to 30mph with various restraint conditions. (No restraint, belted only, bag only, belted & bag and inflator high/low output) HIC_IS, chest "g" and 4mph crash tolerance was considered for establishment of threshold between airbag no-fire/fire, inflator high/low output and ACU calibration.<br/> <br/>
