      • An Efficient Architecture of In-Loop Filters for Multicore Scalable HEVC Hardware Decoders

        <P>This paper proposes an efficient architecture of HEVC in-loop filters (ILFs) with the target of providing effective multicore utilization for ultra-high definition video applications. While HEVC allows for a high level of parallelization, the issue of data dependencies at the ILF leads to inefficient parallel processing performance. The novel memory organization and management techniques address the data dependence-related issues between multiple processing units and enable to filter the flexible area on multicore decoder. In addition, we introduce the adaptive deblocking filtering order (ADFO) to minimize the impact of bus congestion when multiple cores interoperate for processing very large data. Furthermore, we design the deblocking filter with skip mode pipelining to achieve the high performance minimizing the increased cost and the power consumption. For SAO, we apply the window-based parallel SAO filtering scheme. The resource sharing is considered throughout the entire architecture. Based on both experimental and analytical results, our proposed design can achieve more than 1.31 Gpixels/s and less than 2.6 Gpixels/s at maximum frequency 660 MHz in single core, and consumes 56.2 Kgates including 10.6 Kgates for memory management architecture, which supports multicore decoder, and about 20.8 mW power on average when synthesizing with the 28 nm CMOS library. Moreover, the skip modes of DF improve both the performance and the power dissipation. The ADFO improves the performance of ∼9.17% when decoding 8 K sequence on octacore at 400 MHz frequency. TpG (Throughput per Gate) is the highest among the related works.</P>

        물류기업의 노동적 CSR 인식이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 : 국제물류주선업 중심으로

        본 연구는 국제물류주선업 종사원들의 ‘노동적 CSR’ 인식에 따른 직무만족, 조직신뢰 및 조직몰입의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 지속가능한 물류주선업 조직 관리를 위한 실질적인 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구를 진행하기 위해 부산지역에 소재한 국제물류업체를 방문하여 설문을 실시하였다. 가설검정과 실증연구를 위해 SPSS/AMOS Ver. 18.0을 이용하여 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계 분석, 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 독립변수인 ‘노동적 CSR’은 직무만족, 조직신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미쳤지만 조직몰입에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 하지만 매개 변수인 직무만족과 조직신뢰를 통하여 조직몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 국제물류주선업 종사원들의 조직몰입을 높이기 위해서는 종사원들의 만족과 신뢰를 기반으로 한 ‘노동적 CSR’ 활동이 이루어져야 할 것이다. International freight forwarder’s job satisfaction, organizational trust and organizational commitment are closely associated to not only job performance but also the sustainable operation of the business. Nevertheless, any studies have not been done on this matter yet. This study aims to suggest practical plans for effective logistics organization management with the goal of sustainable management by examining the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational trust, and organizational commitment according to the Labor CSR perception of international freight forwarders. The results of the analysis are as follows: The perception of labor CSR had a significant effect on job satisfaction and organizational trust, but it did not have a significant effect on organizational commitment. However, it was confirmed that the mediating effect of labor CSR on organizational trust and job satisfaction had a significant effect on organizational commitment. In order to increase the organizational commitment of the employees in international freight forwarding companies, labor CSR perception should be emphasized based on the satisfaction and trust of the employees.

        Questionnaire Survey on Current Red Blood Cell Transport and Storage in Korea for Reducing Wastage

        Background: To ensure safe red blood cell (RBC) transfusion practice, it is important to comply with storage and transport requirements of RBC units. We conducted a comprehensive survey on the practice of RBC transport and storage to explore the awareness of and compliance with the 30-minute rule, the current status of RBC unit transport, and possible utility of temperature indicators (TIs) to reduce RBC wastage. Methods: From June to August of 2019, 64 blood bank physicians (14 questions) in 64 secondary- and tertiary-care hospitals and 673 nurses (13 questions) in 42 tertiary-care hospitals replied to a questionnaire survey. The results of the survey were analyzed with descriptive statistics. Results: Among the physicians surveyed, 97.0% (N=62) of hospitals had transfusion guidelines in place. The RBC wastage in 2018 ranged from less than five units to more than 200 units. Among the nurses surveyed, 99.4% (N=669) were aware of and complied with the 30-minute rule; 13.5% (N=91) of the nurses had experience of RBC wastage due to violation of the 30-minute rule. Both physicians (67%, N=43) and nurses (83.1%, N=559) responded that TIs would help reduce RBC wastage. Conclusions: This is the first survey on the practices related to RBC transport and storage in Korea. This study provides fundamental data on current practice for the blood cold chain, insights into RBC wastage, and highlights the utility of TIs.
