성인의 급성 심장사에서 정상 심장례의 분석

        강신몽,이원태,이한영,서중석,최영식,권일훈,정낙은 大韓法醫學會 2000 대한법의학회지 Vol.24 No.2

The authors analysed 53 cases of sudden cardiac death(SCD) without prominent structural abnormalies of heart out of witnessed 300 cases. Thirty four cases were associated with sleep and 19 with activity or rest. Twenty one cases were classified as having normal hearts, and the rest as structurally mild abnormal ones. Male was predominant, and almost of the victims were suffered in their twenties or thirties. All cases collapsed instantaneously or in very short time with various and not specific terminal symptoms. Inducing or trigger factors are not clarified in almost of the cases. Mechanisms or causes of death could not be defined clearly. We concluded that careful heart examination with detailed clinical history under the appropriate postmortem investigation system is only effective approach for the true mechanism and cause of death.

      • MOA-2010-BLG-073L: AN M-DWARF WITH A SUBSTELLAR COMPANION AT THE PLANET/BROWN DWARF BOUNDARY

        Street, R. A.,Choi, J.-Y.,Tsapras, Y.,Han, C.,Furusawa, K.,Hundertmark, M.,Gould, A.,Sumi, T.,Bond, I. A.,Wouters, D.,Zellem, R.,Udalski, A.,Snodgrass, C.,Horne, K.,Dominik, M.,Browne, P.,Kains, N.,Br IOP Publishing 2013 The Astrophysical journal Vol.763 No.1

We present an analysis of the anomalous microlensing event, MOA-2010-BLG-073, announced by the Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics survey on 2010 March 18. This event was remarkable because the source was previously known to be photometrically variable. Analyzing the pre-event source light curve, we demonstrate that it is an irregular variable over timescales >200 days. Its dereddened color, (V - I)(S),(0), is 1.221 +/- 0.051 mag, and from our lens model we derive a source radius of 14.7 +/- 1.3 R-circle dot, suggesting that it is a red giant star. We initially explored a number of purely microlensing models for the event but found a residual gradient in the data taken prior to and after the event. This is likely to be due to the variability of the source rather than part of the lensing event, so we incorporated a slope parameter in our model in order to derive the true parameters of the lensing system. We find that the lensing system has a mass ratio of q = 0.0654 +/- 0.0006. The Einstein crossing time of the event, t(E) = 44.3 +/- 0.1 days, was sufficiently long that the light curve exhibited parallax effects. In addition, the source trajectory relative to the large caustic structure allowed the orbital motion of the lens system to be detected. Combining the parallax with the Einstein radius, we were able to derive the distance to the lens, D-L = 2.8 +/- 0.4 kpc, and the masses of the lensing objects. The primary of the lens is an M-dwarf with M-L,M-1 = 0.16 +/- 0.03 M-circle dot, while the companion has M-L,M-2 = 11.0 +/- 2.0 M-J, putting it in the boundary zone between planets and brown dwarfs.

Recent Advances in Amino Acid and Energy Nutrition of Prolific Sows - Review -

        Boyd, R.D.,Touchette, K.J.,Castro, G.C.,Johnston, M.E.,Lee, K.U.,Han, In K. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2000 Animal Bioscience Vol.13 No.11

Prolific females require better nutrition and feeding practice because of larger litter size and the substantial decline in body fat. Life-time pig output will be compromised if body protein and fat are not properly managed. First litter females are especially vulnerable because they can loose ${\geq}15%$ of whole-body protein. Conservation of body protein mass during first lactation minimizes wean to estrus interval and increases second litter size (up to 1.2 pigs). The ability to influence litter-size by amino acid nutrition is a new dimension in our understanding. A P2 fat depth below 12 mm at farrow and below 10 mm at wean compromised wean to estrus interval (>2 d) and next litter size (0.5 to 1.5 pigs) in sows. It is now clear that a 'modest' excess of feed during the first 72 h of pregnancy decreases embryo viability so that the potential for an increased litter size at birth is not realized. The capacity for milk production by prolific young sows is 25% higher than the standard used previously (NRC, 1988). First litter females averaged 9.82 kg milk/d for a 21 d lactation. Second and third litter counterparts averaged 10.35 kg/d. Milk production was 95% of peak by 10 d of lactation and sows were in greatest negative energy and lysine balance during the first 6 d. Nearly 45% of the total loss in body protein occurred within the first 6 d, but this could reduced to 30-35% by using a more aggressive feeding strategy after parturition. There appear to be 2 phases in lactation for lysine need (d 2-12 vs 12-21). Feeding to the higher level alleviates the second litter size decline. The lysine requirement for lactation can be predicted with accuracy, but we are not able to predict the second limiting amino acid. Mammary uptake of valine relative to lysine and recent work with practical diets suggest that the recent NRC (1998) pattern is realistic and that threonine and valine could be co-limiting for corn-soy diets for prolific sows nursing 10-11 pigs. Empirical studies are needed to refine the ideal pattern so that synthetic lysine can be used with more confidence. Milk fat output for the elite sow is extraordinary and poses an unnecessarily high energetic cost. Methods that reduce mammary fat synthesis will benefit the sow and may enhance piglet growth.

Protein Profile in Corpus Luteum during Pregnancy in Korean Native Cows

        Chung, H.J.,Kim, K.W.,Han, D.W.,Lee, H.C.,Yang, B.C.,Chung, H.K.,Shim, M.R.,Choi, M.S.,Jo, E.B.,Jo, Y.M.,Oh, M.Y.,Jo, S.J.,Hong, S.K.,Park, J.K.,Chang, W.K. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2012 Animal Bioscience Vol.25 No.11

Steroidogenesis requires coordination of the anabolic and catabolic pathways of lipid metabolism, but the profile of proteins associated with progesterone synthesis in cyclic and pregnant corpus luteum (CL) is not well-known in cattle. In Experiment 1, plasma progesterone level was monitored in cyclic cows (n = 5) and pregnant cows (n = 6; until d-90). A significant decline in the plasma progesterone level occurred at d-19 of cyclic cows. Progesterone level in abbatoir-derived luteal tissues was also determined at d 1 to 5, 6 to 13 and 14 to 20 of cyclic cows, and d-60 and -90 of pregnant cows (n = 5 each). Progesterone level in d-60 CL was not different from those in d 6 to 13 CL and d-90 CL, although the difference between d 6 to 13 and d-90 was significant. In Experiment 2, protein expression pattern in CL at d-90 (n = 4) was compared with that in CL of cyclic cows at d 6 to 13 (n = 5). Significant changes in the level of protein expression were detected in 32 protein spots by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-DE), and 23 of them were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). Six proteins were found only in pregnant CL, while the other 17 proteins were found only in cyclic CL. Among the above 6 proteins, vimentin which is involved in the regulation of post-implantation development was included. Thus, the protein expression pattern in CL was disorientated from cyclic luteal phase to mid pregnancy, and alterations in specific CL protein expression may contribute to the maintenance of pregnancy in Korean native cows.

      • OGLE-2011-BLG-0265Lb: A JOVIAN MICROLENSING PLANET ORBITING AN M DWARF

        Skowron, J.,Shin, I.-G.,Udalski, A.,Han, C.,Sumi, T.,Shvartzvald, Y.,Gould, A.,Dominis Prester, D.,Street, R. A.,Jørgensen, U. G.,Bennett, D. P.,Bozza, V.,Szymań,ski, M. K.,Kubiak, M.,Pietrzy IOP Publishing 2015 The Astrophysical journal Vol.804 No.1

We report the discovery of a Jupiter-mass planet orbiting an M-dwarf star that gave rise to the microlensing event OGLE-2011-BLG-0265. Such a system is very rare among known planetary systems and thus the discovery is important for theoretical studies of planetary formation and evolution. High-cadence temporal coverage of the planetary signal, combined with extended observations throughout the event, allows us to accurately model the observed light curve. However, the final microlensing solution remains degenerate, yielding two possible configurations of the planet and the host star. In the case of the preferred solution, the mass of the planet is M-p = 0.9 +/- 0.3 M-J, and the planet is orbiting a star with a mass M = 0.22 +/- 0.06 M-circle dot. The second possible configuration (2 sigma away) consists of a planet with M-p = 0.6 +/- 0.3M(J) and host star with M = 0.14 +/- 0.06M(circle dot). The system is located in the Galactic disk 3-4 kpc toward the Galactic bulge. In both cases, with an orbit size of 1.5-2.0 AU, the planet is a 'cold Jupiter'-located well beyond the 'snow line' of the host star. Currently available data make the secure selection of the correct solution difficult, but there are prospects for lifting the degeneracy with additional follow-up observations in the future, when the lens and source star separate.

OGLE-2017-BLG-0173Lb: Low-mass-ratio Planet in a “Hollywood” Microlensing Event

        Hwang, K.-H.,Udalski, A.,Shvartzvald, Y.,Ryu, Y.-H.,Albrow, M. D.,Chung, S.-J.,Gould, A.,Han, C.,Jung, Y. K.,Shin, I.-G.,Yee, J. C.,Zhu, W.,Cha, S.-M.,Kim, D.-J.,Kim, H.-W.,Kim, S.-L.,Lee, C.-U.,Lee, American Astronomical Society 2018 The Astronomical journal Vol.155 No.1

We present microlensing planet OGLE-2017-BLG-0173Lb, with planet-host mass ratio of either q similar or equal to 2.5 x 10(-5) or q similar or equal to 6.5 x 10(-5), the lowest or among the lowest ever detected. The planetary perturbation is strongly detected, Delta chi(2) similar to 10000, because it arises from a bright (therefore, large) source passing over and enveloping the planetary caustic: a so-called 'Hollywood' event. The factor similar to 2.5 offset in q arises because of a previously unrecognized discrete degeneracy between Hollywood events in which the caustic is fully enveloped and those in which only one flank is enveloped, which we dub 'Cannae' and 'von Schlieffen,' respectively. This degeneracy is 'accidental' in that it arises from gaps in the data. Nevertheless, the fact that it appears in a Delta chi(2) = 10000 planetary anomaly is striking. We present a simple formalism to estimate the sensitivity of other Hollywood events to planets and show that they can lead to detections close to, but perhaps not quite reaching, the Earth/Sun mass ratio of 3 x 10(-6). This formalism also enables an analytic understanding of the factor similar to 2.5 offset in q between the Cannae and von Schlieffen solutions. The Bayesian estimates for the host mass, system distance, and planet-host projected separation are M = 0.39(-0.24)(+0.40) M circle dot, D-L = 4.8(-1.8)(+1.5) kpc, and a(perpendicular to) = 3.8 +/- 1.6 au, respectively. The two estimates of the planet mass are m(p) = 3.3(2.1)(+3.8) M circle plus and m(p) = 8(6)(+11) M circle plus. The measured lens-source relative proper motion mu = 6 mas yr(-1) will permit imaging of the lens in about 15 years or at first light on adaptive-optics imagers on next-generation telescopes. These will allow one to measure the host mass but probably will not be able to resolve the planet-host mass-ratio degeneracy.

Antiviral activity of KR-23502 targeting nuclear export of influenza B virus ribonucleoproteins

        Jang, Y.,Lee, H.W.,Shin, J.S.,Go, Y.Y.,Kim, C.,Shin, D.,Malpani, Y.,Han, S.B.,Jung, Y.S.,Kim, M. Elsevier/North-Holland 2016 ANTIVIRAL RESEARCH Vol.134 No.-

The spiro compound 5,6-dimethyl-3H,3'H-spiro(benzofuran-2,1'-isobenzofuran)-3,3'-dione (KR-23502) has antiviral activity against influenza A and more potently B viruses. The aim of this study is to elucidate its mechanism of action. Subcellular localization and time-course expression of influenza B viral proteins, nucleoprotein (NP) and matrix protein 1 (M1), showed that KR-23502 reduced their amounts within 5 h post-infection. Early steps of virus life cycle, including virus entry, nuclear localization of NP and viral RNA-dependent RNA replication, were not affected by KR-23502. Instead it interrupted a later event corresponding to nuclear export of NP and M1 proteins. Delivery of viral ribonucleoprotein (vRNP)-M1 complex has been known to be mediated by the viral nuclear export protein (NEP) through interaction with cellular chromosomal maintenance 1 (CRM1) protein. In this study, we experimentally demonstrated that the compound targets the nuclear export of vRNP. Moreover, a single mutation (aspartate to glycine) at amino acid position 54 in M1 [M1(D54G)] was detected after 18 passages in the presence of KR-23502 with a 2-fold increase in 50% effective concentration indicating that this compound has a relatively high genetic barrier to resistance. Interestingly, it was observed that proteasome-mediated degradation of M1 (D54G) was attenuated by KR-23502. In conclusion, we suggest that KR-23502 shows its anti-influenza activity by downregulating NEP/CRM1-mediated nuclear export of influenza vRNP and M1. KR-23502 provides a core chemical skeleton for further structure-based design of novel antivirals against influenza viruses. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

OGLE-2016-BLG-0613LABb: A Microlensing Planet in a Binary System

        Han, C.,Udalski, A.,A., Gould,Lee, C.-U.,Shvartzvald, Y.,Zang, W. C.,Mao, S.,Kozłowski, S.,Albrow, M. D.,Chung, S.-J.,Hwang, K.-H.,Jung, Y. K.,Kim, D.,Kim, H.-W.,Ryu, Y.-H.,Shin, I.-G.,Yee, J. C.,Zhu, American Astronomical Society 2017 The Astronomical journal Vol.154 No.6

We present the analysis of OGLE-2016-BLG-0613, for which the lensing light curve appears to be that of a typical binary-lens event with two caustic spikes but with a discontinuous feature on the trough between the spikes. We find that the discontinuous feature was produced by a planetary companion to the binary lens. We find four degenerate triplelens solution classes, each composed of a pair of solutions according to the well-known wide/close planetary degeneracy. One of these solution classes is excluded due to its relatively poor fit. For the remaining three pairs of solutions, the most-likely primary mass is about M-1 similar to 0.7M(circle dot) , while the planet is a super Jupiter. In all cases, the system lies in the Galactic disk, about halfway toward the Galactic bulge. However, in one of these three solution classes, the secondary of the binary system is a low- mass brown dwarf, with relative mass ratios (1: 0.03: 0.003), while in the two others the masses of the binary components are comparable. These two possibilities can be distinguished in about 2024 when the measured lens-source relative proper motion will permit separate resolution of the lens and source.

Flanking Region의 점돌연변이로 발생한 D8S1179 유전좌의 대립유전자의 결손

        한길로,황적준 大韓法醫學會 2000 대한법의학회지 Vol.24 No.1

AmpFISTRR Profiler PlusTM PCR amplification system is highly efficient commercial DNA profiling system that are used by many institute for forensic individual identification. During the population study of 128 true Korean families (626 persons) with 9 loci of AmpFISTRR Profiler PlusTM PCR amplification system, we found unusual homozygous genotype at the D8S1179 locus in 4 families that is hard to explain with the Mendel's hereditary principles. the genotyping results suggest possibility of presence of non-amplified alleles due to deletion of one allele or polymorphism of primer-binding site. So we designed a new pair of primers of D8S1179 locus from Genbank data (GenBank Accession No. G08710). The newly designed primers amplified alleles that are not amplified with AmpFISTRR Profiler PlusTM PCR amplification system and all homozygous genotypes are typed to heterozygous genotype. We sequenced alleles of family members who have non-amplified alleles and we found G to A transition at the position of 147th base of GenBank sequence.

      • Robust PEGylated hyaluronic acid nanoparticles as the carrier of doxorubicin: Mineralization and its effect on tumor targetability in vivo

        Han, H.S.,Lee, J.,Kim, H.R.,Chae, S.Y.,Kim, M.,Saravanakumar, G.,Yoon, H.Y.,You, D.G.,Ko, H.,Kim, K.,Kwon, I.C.,Park, J.C.,Park, J.H. Elsevier Science Publishers 2013 Journal of controlled release Vol.168 No.2

The in vivo stability and tumor targetability of self-assembled polymeric nanoparticles are crucial for effective drug delivery. In this study, to develop biostable nanoparticles with high tumor targetability, poly(ethylene glycol)-conjugated hyaluronic acid nanoparticles (PEG-HANPs) were mineralized through controlled deposition of inorganic calcium and phosphate ions on the nanoparticular shell via a sequential addition method. The resulting nanoparticles (M-PEG-HANPs) had a smaller size (153.7+/-4.5nm) than bare PEG-HANPs (265.1+/-9.5nm), implying that mineralization allows the formation of compact nanoparticles. Interestingly, when the mineralized nanoparticles were exposed to acidic buffer conditions (<pH6.5), their sizes increased rapidly due to dissolution of the inorganic minerals. Doxorubicin (DOX), chosen as the model anticancer drug, was effectively encapsulated into the bare and mineralized nanoparticles. For bare PEG-HANPs, DOX was released in a sustained manner and its release rate was not dependent on the pH of the solution. On the other hand, DOX release from M-PEG-HANPs was pH-dependent: i.e. DOX was slowly released from nanoparticles under physiological condition (pH7.4), whereas its release rates were much higher at mildly acidic environments (<pH6.5). From in vivo biodistribution study, it was found that M-PEG-HANPs could reach the tumor site more effectively than bare PEG-HANPs. The antitumor efficacy of DOX-loaded nanoparticles was evaluated after systemic administration into the tumor-bearing mice. Of the samples tested, the most effective antitumor efficacy was observed for DOX-loaded M-PEG-HANPs. Overall, these results suggest that M-PEG-HANPs could be a promising carrier for an anticancer drug.
