In 2019, the daily generation of food waste in Korea was 14,314 tons, which is a steady increase compared to the past. To efficiently use food waste as an effective resource, composting and feeding are carried out. In Korea, attention is gradually focused on a sustainable resource circulation society. Compost made of food waste has problems with foreign substances, heavy metals, and salt content, and solid fuelization research is being actively conducted to compensate for this. In this study, infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), organic content measurement(TGA), and chemical composition were measured to compare the fuel characteristics with wood pellets, which are major solid fuels, in order to examine the physical and chemical properties of food waste compost.

A case of widespread scleredema

Scleredema is a rare sclerodermatosis which is characterized by wooden, diffuse, non-pitting induration of the skin due to accumulation of collagen and mucopolysaccharides in the dermis. Although the pathogenesis remains elusive, associations with infection, diabetes mellitus, and paraproteinemia have been established. A 71-year-old man presented with 4-month history of widespread skin thickening, initially noted onthe abdomen. The patient had no history of diabetes mellitus or preceding febrile infection. Physical examination disclosed a symmetric erythematous woody and non-pitting induration on the neck, shoulders, trunk, and all extremities. Raynaud phenomenon and dysphagia were not noted. Routine laboratory tests, systemic radiologic and hematologic investigations revealed no evidence of malignancy. Antinuclear antibody was weakly positive, and anti Scl-70 antibody was positive. Histopathologic examination showed extreme thickening of the dermis. Deep dermis contained enlarged bundles of collagen separated from one another. Alcian blue stain demonstrated abundant mucin deposits between collagen bundles. Based on the clinical and histological features, the patient was diagnosed with scleredema. He was treated with oral cyclosporine and steroid and most lesions were resolved. Here in, we reported a rare case of widespread scleredema accompanied in the absence of preceding febrile infection or diabetes mellitus.

OBJECTIVES : Acupuncture has been used for treatment of disorders such as drug addiction, pain, high blood pressure, and depression. We and others have shown that acupuncture can attenuate drug addiction by acting on mesolimbic dopaminergic system. As an epithalamic structure, lateral habenula (LHb) is associated with reward system and known to be a central hub for aversive behaviors and nociceptive behaviors. Recently Cumulative evidence has been that acupuncture can exert desirable effects through LHb. Thus, this review aimed to study the role of LHb in the acupuncture effects on drug addiction.

전문대학 신입생의 교수지지, 학업적 자기효능감, 학습몰입 및 전공만족과 학업지속의향 간의 구조적 관계

The purpose of this study was to identify the structural relationship between professor's support, academic self-efficacy, learning engagement, major satisfaction and academic persistence intention of junior college freshmen. The survey instruments used were those developed in previous studies, with confirmed reliability and validity, and 476 questionnaires were used for analysis. Data analysis included reliability analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, normality analysis, and multicollinearity analysis using IBM SPSS 23.0. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were conducted using Mplus 7.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, an appropriate structural relationship model was reasonably identified between professor's support, academic self-efficacy, learning engagement, major satisfaction and academic persistence intention of junior college freshmen. Second, according to the analysis of direct effects, professor's support had a significant positive influence on academic self-efficacy, learning engagement, and major satisfaction, but showed a negative effect on academic persistence intention. Academic self-efficacy had a significant positive effect on learning engagement, and learning engagement had significant positive effects on major satisfaction and academic persistence intention. Major satisfaction had a significant positive effect on academic persistence intention. Third, The analysis of indirect effects through mediation revealed that learning engagement, and major satisfaction mediated the relationship between professor's support and academic persistence intention, respectively. Learning engagement mediated the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic persistence intention, while major satisfaction mediated the relationship between learning engagement and academic persistence intention. Furthermore, it was found that academic self-efficacy and learning engagement acted as dual mediators between professor's support and academic persistence intention, and learning engagement and major satisfaction acted as dual mediators between professor's support and academic persistence intention as well as between academic self-efficacy and academic persistence intention. Finally, Academic self-efficacy, learning engagement, and major satisfaction acted as triple mediators between professor's support and academic persistence intention. Based on these results, the implications and recommendations for academic persistence intention of junior college freshmen were discussed. 이 연구의 목적은 전문대학 신입생의 교수지지, 학업적 자기효능감, 학습몰입, 전공만족 및 학업지속의향 간의 구조적 관계를 구명하는데 있다. 신뢰도와 타당도가 확인된 도구를 사용하였으며, 최종 476부의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. IBM SPSS 23.0으로 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계 분석, 상관관계 분석, 정규성 분석, 다중공선성 분석 등을 실시하였고, Mplus 7.0으로 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구의 목적을 위해 설정한 구조모형 적합도는 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직접효과 분석 결과, 교수지지는 학업적 자기효능감, 학습몰입, 전공만족에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 주고, 학업지속의향에는 부적인 영향을 주었다. 학업적 자기효능감은 학습몰입에, 학습몰입은 전공만족과 학업지속의향에, 전공만족은 학업지속의향에 각각 정적인 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 간접효과 분석 결과, 교수지지와 학업지속의향 간의 관계를 학습몰입과 전공만족이 각각 매개하였다. 학습몰입은 학업적 자기효능감과 학업지속의향 간의 관계를, 전공만족은 학습몰입과 학업지속의향 간의 관계를 매개하였다. 학업적 자기효능감과 학습몰입은 교수지지와 학업지속의향 간의 관계를, 학습몰입과 전공만족은 교수지지와 학업지속의향 간의 관계와 학업적 자기효능감과 학업지속의향 간의 관계를 각각 이중매개하였다. 끝으로, 학업적 자기효능감, 학습몰입 및 전공만족은 교수지지와 학업지속의향 간의 관계를 삼중매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 입각하여 전문대학 신입생의 학업지속의향 촉진을 위한 시사점과 제언을 제시하였다.

갈색거저리 유충, 흰점박이꽃무지 유충, 쌍별귀뚜라미 분말을 첨가한 쌀쿠키의 품질특성 및 항산화 활성

본 연구는 곤충 3종의 첨가량을 달리하여 쌀쿠키를 제조한 후 품질특성을 알아보았다. 곤충 쌀쿠키의 밀도는 곤충 함량에 따라 유의적인 차이가 없었으며 pH는 곤충 함량에 따라 유의적으로 감소하였다. 곤충 쌀쿠키의 퍼짐성은 곤충 함량에 따라 유의적으로 감소하였고 손실율은 곤충 함량에 따라 유의적으로 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 곤충 쌀쿠키의 일반성분 중 조회분과 조단백질은 곤충 함량이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였다. 반면 수분함량과 조지방은 경향성을 보이지 않았다. 곤충 쌀쿠키의 색도는 곤충 분말을 첨가할수록 L값과 b값은 감소하고, a값이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 곤충 쌀쿠키의 경도는 곤충 함량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 감소하였다. DPPH와 ABTS의 항산화 활성 실험에서 흰점박이꽃무지 유충 쌀쿠키(PBL)와 쌍별귀뚜라미 쌀쿠키(GBC) 시료가 갈색거저리 쌀쿠키(TML)시료보다 높은 라디칼 소거능을 나타내었다. 관능검사는 색, 맛, 조직감 및 전체적인 기호도에서 쌍별귀뚜라미 쌀쿠키(GBC) 시료가 좋은 결과를 나타내었으며 특히 쌍별귀뚜라미를 5% 첨가한 GBC3시료의 결과가 우수하였다. 따라서 단백질 함량과 항산화능이 높으며 관능평가에서도 우수한 쌍별귀뚜라미 쌀쿠키를 단백질 대체 쌀쿠키로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. In this study, the quality characteristics of rice cookies supplemented with different types of insect powder (Tenebrio molitor, Protaetia brevitarsis, and Gryllus bimaculatus) were assessed according to the quantity of insect powder used (0, 1, 2.5, 5, and 7.5 g). No significant differences were observed in rice cookie densities or water content. The pH value and spread factor decreased with increasing insect powder content (p<0.05); however, a significant increase was observed in the loss rate (p<0.05). Crude ash, crude fat, and crude protein content significantly increased with higher concentrations of insect powder (p<0.05). Moreover, lightness and yellowness decreased, whereas redness increased with higher insect powder concentrations (p<0.05). Hardness significantly decreased, whereas the antioxidant capacities of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radicals increased with higher insect powder concentrations (p<0.05). Finally, insect powder can prove a valuable resource in rice cookie production, considering its nutritional value, consumer preference, and antioxidant properties.

신경변성질환에서의 한의학적 치료연구에 대한 문헌적 고찰

Objective : In this study, we intend to analyze previous studies on herbal medicine and acupuncture in Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease models to help future animal and clinical trials. Method : Searched several literatures published within the last 5 years using key words such as ‘alzheimer’, ‘parkinson’, ’acupuncture’, ‘herbal medicine’, ‘oriental medicine’, ‘Korean medicine’, ‘Traditional medicine' and ‘Medicinal herb’ in google scholar (https://scholar.google.co.kr). Result and Conclusion : A survey of the rates of herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment in the Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease models found that both diseases had more acupuncture treatments than herbal medicine.

재가방문요양기관 운영 현황 검토를 통한 경증 치매노인 대상 미술치료교육의 과제

오늘날 급속한 인구 고령화와 함께 나날이 늘어나고 있는 치매는 질환 자체의 문제뿐만 아니라, 간병과 관련된 부수적인 문제들도 수반되기 때문에 개인과 가정, 의료 및 복지 차원에서 국가적으로 주목되고 있는 사안이다. 이에 대한 해결책의 하나로서 장기요양보험제도가 시행된 지 오래이나, 치매 증상을 완화시키거나 그 진전을 늦출 수 있는 구체적인 교육 프로그램은 아직도 미흡한 실정이다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 재가장기요양기관을 중심으로 경증 치매의 증상 완화를 목적으로 하는 미술치료교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료를 마련하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위한 연구내용으로서 치매의 증상 및 행동유형별 특성에 대해 고찰하고 현행 장기요양보험제도 및 재가방문요양기관 운영현황을 검토하였다. 이를 통해 프로그램 운영상의 문제점을 진단한 후 그 대안으로서의 미술치료교육의 의의와 기능에 대해 고찰하는 한편, 향후 방안과 과제를 조망하였다. 결론적으로, 재가장기요양기관에 대한 인력기준의 현실화, 치매특별등급에 대한 인식 개선, 치매 전문교육 이수시간 확대 및 교육내용의 질적 제고, 미술치료교육 프로그램 개발 및 효율적 운용을 위한 전문 인력의 확충 등이 선결되어야 하며, 아울러 노인복지정책에 대한 정부의 관심과 재정적인 지원이 증대되어야 함을 제언하였다. Various social problems are emerging as a major issue due to the increase in the number of elderly people as the population ages rapidly. Especially, dementia accompanies not just the problem that this disease has but also other incidental ones related to nursing care, so it is nationally noted on personal, family, medical and welfare levels. Artistic activities view the inner world of the elderly, and they are the expression of characteristics where feelings and thoughts are reflected and the area accompanied with physical activities. Therefore, this study s purpose is to provide basic data for the development of art therapy education programs aimed at alleviating dementia symptoms of the elderly. For this purpose, the characteristics of dementia symptoms and behavior types were examined and the current status of long-term care insurance system and home visiting care centers were reviewed. Through this, this study examined the significance and function of art therapy education as a solution to the problems of program operation and then looked out the future tasks.
