<P>Turn 'off-on' chemosensor 2-(-2-((3',6'-bis(diethylamino)-3-oxospiro[isoindoline-1,9'-xanthen]-2-yl)imino)ethylidene)-N-phenylhydrazine-1-carbothioamide (RBS) was designed and synthesized. Using the naked eye, RBS showed favorable observation characteristics with both Cu2+ and F- ions. The various modes of sensitivity shown by RBS toward the Cu2+ and F- ions were investigated by spectral techniques, including UV-Vis, fluorescence and H-1 NMR spectroscopy. The Job's plot indicated the formation of 1:1 complex between RBS and Cu2+/F-. The binding constant of the RBS-guest(-) complexes were found to be 1.3 x 10(4) and 6.2 x 10(3) M-1 for the RBS-Cu2+ and RBS-F-, respectively. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.</P>
On the flutter Characteristics of separated two box girders
M. Matsumoto,R. Shijo,A. Eguchi,T. Hikida,H. Tamaki,K. Mizuno 한국풍공학회 2004 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.7 No.4
The flutter characteristics of long span bridges are discussed from the point of the unsteady pressure distribution on bridge deck surface during heaving/torsional vibration related to the aerodynamic derivatives. In particular, it is explained that the coupling terms, which consist of A1* and H3*, play a substantial role on the coupled flutter, in comparison with the flutter characteristics of various structural sections. Also the effect of the torsional/heaving frequency ratio of bridge structures on the flutter instability is discussed from the point of the coupling effect between heaving and torsional vibrations.

We present the results of an rocket-borne observation of far-infrared [CII] line at 157.7 ${\mu}m$ from the diffuse inter-stellar medium in the Ursa Major. We also introduce a part of results on the [CII] emission recently obtained by the IRTS, a liquid-helium cooled 15cm telescope onboard the Space Flyer Unit. From the rocket-borne observation we obtained the cooling rate of the diffuse HI gas due to the [CII] line emission, which is $1.3{\pm}0.2 {\times} 10^{-26}$ $ergss^{-1} H^{-1}_{atom}$. We also observed appreciable [CII] emission from the molecular clouds, with average CII/CO intensity ratio of 420. The IRTS observation provided the [CII] line emission distribution over large area of the sky along great circles crossing the Galactic plane at I = $50^{\circ}$ and I = $230^{\circ}$. We found two components in their intensity distributions, one concentrates on the Galactic plane and the another extends over at least $20^{\circ}$ in Galactic latitude. We ascribe one component to the emission from the Galactic disk, and the another one to the emission from the local interstellar gas. The [CII] cooling rate of the latter component is $5.6 {\pm} 2.2 {\times}10$.

<P>We report the structural analysis and spin-dependent band structure of hydrogenated boron nitride adsorbed on Ni(111). The atomic displacement studied by using the normal incidence X-ray standing wave (NIXSW) technique supports the H-B(fcc):N(top) model, in which hydrogen atoms are site-selectively chemisorbed on boron atoms and N atoms remain on top of Ni atoms. The distance between the Ni plane and nitrogen plane did not change after hydrogenation, which implies that the interaction between Ni and N is 3d-pi orbital mixing (donation and back-donation) even after hydrogenation of boron. The remaining pi* peaks in near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectra are a manifestation of the rehybridization of sp(2) into sp(3) states, which is consistent with the N-B-N bonding angle derived from NIXSW measurement. The SPMDS measurement revealed the spin asymmetry appearing on hydrogenated h-BN, which was originated from a p related orbital with back donation from the Ni 3d state. Even though the atomic displacement is reproduced by the density functional theory (DFT) calculation with the H-B(fcc):N(top) model, the experimental spin-dependent band structure was not reproduced by DFT possibly due to the self-interaction error (SIE). These results reinforce the site-selective hydrogenation of boron and pave the way for efficient design of BN nanomaterials for hydrogen storage.</P>
AKARI OBSERVATION OF THE FLUCTUATION OF THE NEAR-INFRARED BACKGROUND
Matsumoto, T.,Seo, H.J.,Jeong, W.S.,Lee, H.M.,Matsuura, S.,Matsuhara, H.,Oyabu, S.,Pyo, J.,Wada, T. The Korean Astronomical Society 2012 天文學論叢 Vol.27 No.4
We report a search for fluctuations of the sky brightness toward the North Ecliptic Pole with AKARI, at 2.4, 3.2, and $4.1{\mu}m$. The stacked images with a diameter of 10 arcminutes of the AKARI-Monitor Field show a spatial structure on the scale of a few hundred arcseconds. A power spectrum analysis shows that there is a significant excess fluctuation at angular scales larger than 100 arcseconds that cannot be explained by zodiacal light, diffuse Galactic light, shot noise of faint galaxies, or clustering of low-redshift galaxies. These findings indicate that the detected fluctuation could be attributed to the first stars of the universe, i.e., Population III stars.
MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF FePt₃ ORDERED ALLOY
H.Yoshida,H.Fujimorl,T.Kaneko,S.Abe,K.Watanabe,M.Matsumoto,T.Yoshida,T.Kanomata 한국자기학회 1995 韓國磁氣學會誌 Vol.5 No.5
The magnetic properties for Fe₂₄Pt_(76) and Fe_(26)Pt_(74) have been investigated. The temperature vs. magnetic susceptibility curve for Fe₂₄Pt_(76) had no peak near the Neel temperature. The magnetization process at 4.2 K showed only a linear variation up to the high magnetic field of 240 kOe. That for Fe_(26)Pt_(74) at 77 K showed a metamagnetic transition at 100 kOe. These properties were discussed on the basis of a band picture.
AKARI OBSERVATIONS OF THE FLUCTUATIONS OF THE NEAR-INFRARED BACKGROUND II
H. J. Seo,H. M. Lee,T. Matsumoto,W. -S. Jeong,이명균,J. Pyo 한국천문학회 2017 天文學論叢 Vol.32 No.1
We report a spatial fluctuation analysis of the sky brightness in the near-infrared from observations towards the north ecliptic pole (NEP) by AKARI at 2.4 and 3.2 μm. As a follow up study of our previous work on the Monitor field of AKARI, we used NEP deep survey data, which covered a circular area of about 0.4 square degrees, in order to extend fluctuation analysis at angular scales up to 1000''. After pre-processing, additional correction procedures were done to correct time varying components and instrumental effects such as MUXbleed. To remove resolved objects, we applied 2σ clipping and point spread function (PSF) subtraction. We finally obtained mosaicked images which can be used for the study of various diffuse emissions in the near-infrared sky and found that there are spatial structures in the mosaicked images using a power spectrum analysis.
