Three-dimensional Network Structure of Conductive Composites by Hybrid Conductive Fillers of Silver/graphene

        Xiao Min Zhang,Kun-yan Wang,Guo Zhao,Qi Long Li,Bin Wang 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.6

In order to explore new generations of interconnecting materials in electronic packaging industries, silvernanoparticles (Ag NPS) and graphene nanosheets (GNS) were introduced into matrix resin to prepare conductive composites. The electrical and mechanical of above electrically conductive adhesives (ECAs) were investigated and characterized. It wasfound that the ECAs can be solidified through a chemical sintering in the air at 150 oC for 30 min. The results indicated thatthe percolation threshold of resistivity reaches 3.5×10-4 Ω·cm for ECAs filled with 65 wt.% Ag NPS, 0.5 wt.% GNS and theshear strength reaches 10.8 MPa, suggesting excellent electric conductivity and bonding strength.

Comparison of volatile organic compounds from uninfested and Monochamus alternatus Hope infested Pinus massoniana Lamb.

        Xiao‐Juan Li,Guang-Ping DONG,Jian-Min FANG,Hong-Jian LIU,Wan-Lin GUO 한국곤충학회 2017 Entomological Research Vol.47 No.3

Monochamus alternatus is a destructive stem‐boring herbivore of Pinus massoniana, and the principal vector of pine wood nematode. To investigate the impacts of boring by M. alternatus larvae on the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from their host trees, the VOCs from uninfested and M. alternatus larvae infested P. massoniana trees were observed using a gas chromatograph–mass spectrometer. We detected 12, 9, 18 and 14 volatile organic compounds from infested xylem, infested phloem, uninfested xylem and uninfested phloem, respectively. In P. massoniana xylem, the boring of M. alternatus larvae induced cyclosativene, and inhibited 4‐carene, humulene, styrene, α‐phellandrene, β‐myrcene, β‐phellandrene and γ‐terpinene. The relative amounts of camphene, copacamphene, longicyclene, longifolene, tricyclene and α‐longipinene were significantly increased, and the relative amounts of α‐pinene and β‐pinene were significantly decreased by the boring behaviors of M. alternatus larvae. In P. massoniana phloem, the boring of M. alternatus larvae induced 2‐bornanone, copacamphene, longicyclene and α‐longipinene, and inhibited 2‐carene, 4‐carene, styrene, α‐phellandrene, β‐myrcene, β‐phellandrene, β‐pinene, γ‐terpinene and ο‐cymene. The relative amounts of camphene, caryophyllene and longifolene were significantly increased by the boring behaviors of M. alternatus larvae. The results indicate that the boring behaviors of M. alternatus larvae changed both the sorts and contents of the VOCs from P. massoniana trees.

Identification of differentially expressed immunity‐related genes in Monochamus alternatus Hope (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) larvae parasitized by Dastarcus helophoroides (Fairmaire) (Coleoptera: Bothrideridae)

        Xiao‐Juan Li,Guang-Ping DONG,Jian-Min FANG,Hong-Jian LIU,Wan-Lin GUO 한국곤충학회 2018 Entomological Research Vol.48 No.4

The pine sawyer Monochamus alternatus Hope (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) is a serious pest of several Pinus species, and the ectoparasitoid larvae of Dastarcus helophoroides (Fairmaire) (Coleoptera: Bothrideridae) is an important natural enemy of this pest. The transcriptome of M. alternatus larvae was sequenced using the Illumina platform and immunity‐related genes were specifically analyzed. De novo assembly resulted in the identification of 24 241 unigenes, with a mean length of 1122 bp, in unparasitized M. alternatus larvae and 23 807 unigenes, with a mean length of 1140 bp, for parasitized larvae. Removal of redundant unigenes resulted in 26 095 all‐unigenes, of which 16 959 (64.99%) showed clear homology with some of the known genes in the National Center for Biotechnology Information nr database. Parasitization had notable effects on the transcriptome profile of M. alternatus larvae. In all, 2702 genes were differentially expressed in M. alternatus larvae after parasitization, with 1491 (55.18%) upregulated and 1211 (44.82%) downregulated. Moreover, expression levels of immunity‐related genes in M. alternatus larvae were markedly altered in response to parasitization by D. helophoroides. In conclusion, the transcriptome profiling data, especially the discovered of immunity‐related genes, help illustrate the molecular mechanisms of parasitism between D. helophoroides and M. alternatus and provide new insights into developing immunity regulation‐mediated control methods of M. alternatus.

A Meta-Analysis of the Accuracy of Prostate Cancer Studies Which Use Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy as a Diagnostic Tool

        Peng Wang,You-min Guo,Min Liu,Yong-qian Qiang,Xiao-juan Guo,Yi-li Zhang,Xiao-Yi Duan,Qiu-Juan Zhang,Weifeng Liang 대한영상의학회 2008 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.9 No.5

Objective: We aimed to do a meta-analysis of the existing literature to assess the accuracy of prostate cancer studies which use magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) as a diagnostic tool. Materials and Methods: Prospectively, independent, blind studies were selected from the Cochrane library, Pubmed, and other network databases. The criteria for inclusion and exclusion in this study referenced the criteria of diagnostic research published by the Cochrane center. The statistical analysis was adopted by using Meta-Test version 6.0. Using the homogeneity test, a statistical effect model was chosen to calculate different pooled weighted values of sensitivity, specificity, and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). The summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curves method was used to assess the results. Results: We chose two cut-off values (0.75 and 0.86) as the diagnostic criteria for discriminating between benign and malignant. In the first diagnostic criterion, the pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity, and corresponding 95% CI (expressed as area under curve [AUC]) were 0.82 (0.73, 0.89), 0.68 (0.58, 0.76), and 83.4% (74.97, 91.83). In the second criterion, the pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity, and corresponding 95% CI were 0.64 (0.55, 0.72), 0.86 (0.79, 0.91) and 82.7% (68.73, 96.68). Conclusion: As a new method in the diagnostic of prostate cancer, MRS has a better applied value compared to other common modalities. Ultimately, large scale RCT randomized controlled trial studies are necessary to assess its clinical value. Novel miniature inverted-repeat transposable elements derived from novel CACTA transposons were discovered in the genome of the ant Camponotus floridanus

        Xiao-Min Xiong,Shen-Hua Jiang,Guo-Yin Li 한국유전학회 2016 Genes & Genomics Vol.38 No.12

Fourteen novel miniature inverted-repeat transposable element (MITE) families are found in the Florida carpenter ant genome, Camponotus floridanus. They constitute approximately 0.63 % of the entire genome. Analysis of their insertion time showed that most members of these MITEs were inserted into their host genome in less than 8 million years ago. In addition, the association between MITEs and the noncoding regions of genes in C. floridanus is random. Interestingly, an autonomous partner (named CfTEC) responsible for the amplification of these MITEs was also found in C. floridanus. Meanwhile, we present evidence, based on searches of publicly available databases, that this autonomous element was widespread in animals. Moreover, structure and phylogenetic analyses supported that TECs might represent a novel cade of transposons intermediate between the classic CACTA transposon and TRCs. Finally, their transposition mechanism and impact on host genome evolution were also discussed.

      • Prognostic Evaluation of Categorical Platelet-based Indices Using Clustering Methods Based on the Monte Carlo Comparison for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        Guo, Pi,Shen, Shun-Li,Zhang, Qin,Zeng, Fang-Fang,Zhang, Wang-Jian,Hu, Xiao-Min,Zhang, Ding-Mei,Peng, Bao-Gang,Hao, Yuan-Tao Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.14

Objectives: To evaluate the performance of clustering methods used in the prognostic assessment of categorical clinical data for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients in China, and establish a predictable prognostic nomogram for clinical decisions. Materials and Methods: A total of 332 newly diagnosed HCC patients treated with hepatic resection during 2006-2009 were enrolled. Patients were regularly followed up at outpatient clinics. Clustering methods including the Average linkage, k-modes, fuzzy k-modes, PAM, CLARA, protocluster, and ROCK were compared by Monte Carlo simulation, and the optimal method was applied to investigate the clustering pattern of the indices including platelet count, platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and serum aspartate aminotransferase activity/platelet count ratio index (APRI). Then the clustering variable, age group, tumor size, number of tumor and vascular invasion were studied in a multivariable Cox regression model. A prognostic nomogram was constructed for clinical decisions. Results: The ROCK was best in both the overlapping and non-overlapping cases performed to assess the prognostic value of platelet-based indices. Patients with categorical platelet-based indices significantly split across two clusters, and those with high values, had a high risk of HCC recurrence (hazard ratio [HR] 1.42, 95% CI 1.09-1.86; p<0.01). Tumor size, number of tumor and blood vessel invasion were also associated with high risk of HCC recurrence (all p< 0.01). The nomogram well predicted HCC patient survival at 3 and 5 years. Conclusions: A cluster of platelet-based indices combined with other clinical covariates could be used for prognosis evaluation in HCC.

Mn(III)-Iodosylarene Porphyrins as an Active Oxidant in Oxidation Reactions: Synthesis, Characterization, and Reactivity Studies

        Guo, Mian,Lee, Yong-Min,Seo, Mi Sook,Kwon, Yong-Ju,Li, Xiao-Xi,Ohta, Takehiro,Kim, Won-Suk,Sarangi, Ritimukta,Fukuzumi, Shunichi,Nam, Wonwoo American Chemical Society 2018 Inorganic Chemistry Vol.57 No.16

<P>Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrin adducts, [Mn(III)(ArIO)(Porp)]+, were synthesized by reacting electron-deficient Mn(III) porphyrin complexes with iodosylarene (ArIO) at −60 °C and characterized using various spectroscopic methods. The [Mn(III)(ArIO)(Porp)]+ species were then investigated in the epoxidation of olefins under stoichiometric conditions. In the epoxidation of olefins by the Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrin species, epoxide was formed as the sole product with high chemoselectivities and stereoselectivities. For example, cyclohexene oxide was formed exclusively with trace amounts of allylic oxidation products; <I>cis</I>- and <I>trans</I>-stilbenes were oxidized to the corresponding <I>cis</I>- and <I>trans</I>-stilbene oxides, respectively. In the catalytic epoxidation of cyclohexene by an electron-deficient Mn(III) porphyrin complex and sPhIO at low temperature (e.g., −60 °C), the Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrin species was evidenced as the active oxidant that effects the olefin epoxidation to give epoxide as the product. However, at high temperature (e.g., 0 °C) or in the case of using an electron-rich manganese(III) porphyrin catalyst, allylic oxidation products, along with cyclohexene oxide, were yielded, indicating that the active oxidant(s) was not the Mn(III)-iodosylarene adduct but probably high-valent Mn-oxo species in the catalytic reactions. We also report the conversion of the Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrins to high-valent Mn-oxo porphyrins under various conditions, such as at high temperature, with electron-rich porphyrin ligand, and in the presence of base (OH-). The present study reports the first example of spectroscopically well-characterized Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrin species being an active oxidant in the stoichiometric and catalytic oxidation reactions. Other aspects, such as one oxidant versus multiple oxidants debate, also were discussed.</P><P>Mn(III)-iodosylarene porphyrin adducts, [Mn(III)(ArIO)(Porp)]+, were synthesized by reacting electron-deficient Mn(III) porphyrin complexes with iodosylarene (ArIO) and characterized using various spectroscopic methods. Fix-frequency robust power model predictive control method for three-phase PWM rectifiers under unbalanced grid conditions

Guo, Xin,Xiao, Min,Gao, Yu-er,Wang, Qingyu,Wan, Yihao The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2020 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.20 No.5

Under unbalanced grid conditions, the controller design of a three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier is based on an instantaneous power model. By calculating the current references of the converter according to the instantaneous power model, traditional voltage-oriented control (VOC) methods realize the positive-sequence and negative-sequence active and reactive current control of the converter separately using the proportional-integral (PI) controller. However, due to the inner current loop control structure of the traditional VOC method, it is impossible to realize the regulation of all six power components in a common instantaneous power model under an unbalanced grid. Meanwhile, the control performance of the traditional VOC method with a PI controller is degraded under the circuit parameters uncertainty condition. In this paper, a fixed switching frequency robust power model predictive control method (FRP-MPC) is proposed for three-phase PWM rectifiers under the unbalanced grid condition. The proposed control strategy has a number of advantages. An improved instantaneous power model is used for the fixed switching frequency model predictive controller design under the unbalanced grid condition, which has less power variables than the common instantaneous power model. The robustness of the MPC controller is improved by adding a robust item into the predictive model under circuit parameters uncertainty. Simulation and experiment results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

Overexpression of a Lotus corniculatus AP2/ERF transcription factor gene, LcERF080, enhances tolerance to salt stress in transgenic Arabidopsis

        Zhan-Min Sun,Yan-Min Wu,Mei-Liang Zhou,Xing-Guo Xiao,Yi-Xiong Tang 한국식물생명공학회 2014 Plant biotechnology reports Vol.8 No.4

The APETALA2/ethylene-responsive elementbinding factors (AP2/ERF) play central roles in the stressresponse in plants. In this study, we identified and isolateda novel salt stress-related gene, LcERF080, that encodes anAP2/ERF protein in Lotus corniculatus cultivar Leo. LcERF080 was classified into the B-4 group of the ERFsubfamily based on multiple sequence alignment andphylogenetic characterization. Expression of LcERF080was strongly induced by salt, abscisic acid, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid, methyl jasmonate, and salicylicacid stresses. Subcellular localization assay confirmedthat LcERF080 is a nuclear protein. LcERF080 overexpressionin Arabidopsis resulted in pleiotropic phenotypeswith a higher seed germination rate and transgenic plantswith enhanced tolerance to salt stress. Further, under stressconditions, the transgenic lines exhibited elevated levels ofsoluble sugars and proline as well as relative moisturecontents but a lower malondialdehyde content than incontrol plants. The expression levels of hyperosmoticsalinity response genes COR15A, RD22, and P5CS1 werefound to be elevated in the LcERF080-overexpressingArabidopsis plants compared to the wild-type plants. Theseresults reveal that LcERF080 is involved in the responsesof plants to salt stress.
