Research and Implementation of a Vertical Search Engine in the Financial Domain

The exponential growth of the data on the web makes it difficult for web users to locate and obtain the interesting information. The general web search engines, such as Google, Baidu, reduce the degree of difficulty to some extent. The rise of vertical search engine provides a promising approach to address the big challenge. A Chinese vertical search engine is urgently needed to provide professional financial information retrieval service for related financial institutions and government agencies. Therefore, in this paper we investigate, design and implement a vertical search engine in the financial domain. Based onNutch plug-in mechanism, we provide and implement the details of a vertical search engine in the financial domain, especially in the finance domain focused crawler. Experimental results show that, the finance domain focused crawler based on Nutch plug-in mechanism has good performance and can satisfy practical requirements of medium search application, and the system runs well.
The New Strategy of Object-Based Directional Query

To increase directional query efficiency, based on the study of existing algorithms of directional query, new pruning rules for directional query were given, combined with the new index structure MB-tree. The rules exclude the MBRs outside the query area and output all leaf nodes in the MBRs inside the query area. Based on the orders defined in MB-tree, a new algorithm of directional query is given combining with MB-tree by using recursive method, and the new algorithm can reduce I/O cost effectively. Experiment showed that the new directional query algorithm reduces the number of visited nodes, decreases I/O cost, and improves the efficiency of directional query.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: The flowers of Inula japonica (Inulae Flos) have long been used in traditional medicine for the treatment of bronchitis, digestive disorders, and inflammation. However, the mechanisms underlying its anti-inflammatory effects remain yet to be elucidated. The objectives of this study were 1) to assess the anti-allergic activity of the ethanol extract of flowers of Inula japonica extract (IFE) in vivo, 2) to investigate the mechanism of its action on mast cells in vitro, and 3) to identify its major phytochemical compositions. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The anti-allergic activity of IFE was evaluated using mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs) in vitro and a passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) animal model in vivo. The effects of IFE on mast cell activation were evaluated in terms of degranulation, eicosanoid generation, Ca(2+) influx, and immunoblotting of various signaling molecules. RESULTS: IFE inhibited degranulation and the generation of eicosanoids (PGD(2) and LTC(4)) in stem cell factor (SCF)-stimulated BMMCs. Biochemical analysis of the SCF-mediated signaling pathways demonstrated that IFE inhibited the activation of multiple downstream signaling processes including mobilization of intracellular Ca(2+) and phosphorylation of the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), PLCγ1, and cPLA(2) pathways. When administered orally, IFE attenuated themast cell-mediated PCA reaction in IgE-sensitized mice. Its major phytochemical composition included three sesquiterpenes, 1-O-acetylbritannilactone, britanin and tomentosin. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that IFE modulates eicosanoids generation and degranulation through the suppression of SCF-mediated signaling pathways that would be beneficial for the prevention of allergic inflammatory diseases. Anti-allergic activity of IFE may be in part attributed particularly to the presence of britanin and tomentosin as major components evidenced by a HPLC analysis. A S-type engagement of beyond-visual-range (BVR) air combat tactical method based on sliding mode control is proposed, which is aiming at the problem of Doppler pulse (PD) radar blind zone. By introducing the Electronic Support Measures (ESM), the whole tactical process is divided into two sub-processes: quick engagement and stealthy engagement. This paper designs a stealthy engagement process controller based on the double power sliding mode control, and a quick engagement process controller based on the back-stepping second order sliding mode. The simulation experiment shows that our aircraft can use EMS to judge the enemy radar detection information and switch the strategy. And it can successfully enter the enemy radar blind zone through S-type maneuver, occupy the dominant area, which can effectively complete the stealthy engagement.
ELECTROCHEMICAL Co 3 O 4 NANOPOROUS THIN FILMS SENSOR FOR HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DETECTION

The nanoporous Co 3 O 4 thin ¯lms were prepared on indium tin oxide (ITO) glasses by anelectrodeposition method. The surface morphology and composition of the nanoporous Co 3 O 4¯lms were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-rayanalysis (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results show that the as-deposited nanoporous Co 3 O 4 ¯lm is constructed by many interconnected nano°akes withthickness of about 40 nm. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurement indicates that thenanoporous Co 3 O 4 ¯lms exhibit remarkable electrocatalytic activities for the hydrogen peroxide(H 2 O 2 ) reduction which shows that it is a good candidate to be employed as electrode materialsfor electrochemical sensing of H 2 O 2 . Further analysis indicated that the detection sensitivityof the sensor was 1.357 mA mM? 1 cm? 2 and the detection limit was estimated to be about0.2 mM.

The development of smart materials with reversible thermochromic properties is of great importance in the fields of sensors, displays and anticounterfeitings. In this article, a diacetylene monomer (AQDA) containing aminoquinoline as a head group was synthesized. Together with fluorescein-substituted diacetylene (FDA) and 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA), hybrid PDA vesicles were obtained through self-assembly and topochemical polymerization process. The hybrid PDA vesicles (FDA, AQDA and PCDA with molar ratio of 7:2:1) display an partially reversible green-to-orange red colorimetric change in a wider temperature range from 20 to 100 °C focusing on the stronger hydrogen bonding and aromatic interactions. This work may provide fundamental understanding of the mechanism and strategies for the design of reversible thermochromic PDA materials.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of n-hexane extracts from bones and internalorgans of Japanese eel, Anguilla japonica (HEE), on cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)-dependent prostaglandin D₂(PGD₂) generation in stem cell factor (SCF), IL-10, plus LPS-induced mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs) and on passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in mice. HEE suppressed SCF/IL-10/LPS-induced PGD₂ generation, and concomitantly reduced COX-2 protein expression dose-dependently. To understand the mechanistic basis for the inhibition of PGD₂ generation by HEE, we examined the effects of HEE on upstream signaling pathways essential for COX-2 induction. HEE was found to inhibit the translocation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) p65 subunit to the nucleus and its DNA-binding ability through the inhibition of TAK1, IKK and IκB phosphorylation. Furthermore, HEE also attenuated mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)-mediated regulation of DNA binding of activator protein-1 (AP-1). Moreover, oral administration of HEE inhibited anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE-induced PCA in a dose dependent manner. Taken together, the present study provides new insights into the anti-inflammatory activity of HEE, which could be a promising candidate to be used for an inflammatory therapy.ⓒ2013 Elsevier Ltd. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of saucerneol F (SF) on the productions of the pro-inflammatory cytokines, TNF-α and IL-6, in IgE/Ag-induced mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs). SF dose-dependently suppressed the transcriptions of these pro-inflammatory cytokines. To identify the molecular mechanisms responsible for these suppressions, we examined the effect of SF on three important transcription factors; activator protein-1 (AP-1), nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), and STAT5. It was found that SF inhibited the nuclear translocation of the p65 subunit of NF-κB to the nucleus and its DNA-binding ability. SF also attenuated mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)-mediated AP-1 activation and STAT5 activation. Biochemical analysis of FcεRI-mediated signaling pathways demonstrated that SF inhibited the phosphorylation of Fyn and multiple downstream signaling processes, including Syk, Gab2, and the Akt/IKK/IκB and MAPK pathways. Taken together, our results suggest that SF inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines by suppressing Fyn kinase-dependent signaling events.Crown Copyright ⓒ2013 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
