As the development of the 4th Industrial Revolutionary technology, Big Data is being used in various fields, and efficiency can be maximized when combined with cloud computing technology. In this study, a customized book recommendation application was designed and implemented so that readers could easily borrow from a library by convergence of big data and artificial intelligence, the core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution. The service will be applied to the touch screen of mobile applications, websites, and offline libraries, which increases the lending of public libraries and expect a new reading culture to inflow.
Design of a Reliable Broadband I/O Employing T-coil
Kim, Seok,Kim, Shin-Ae,Jung, Goeun,Kwon, Kee-Won,Chun, Jung-Hoon The Institute of Electronics and Information Engin 2009 Journal of semiconductor technology and science Vol.9 No.4
Inductive peaking using T-coils has been widely used in broadband I/O interfaces. In this paper, we analyze technical effects and limitations of the T-coil, and discuss several methods that can overcome these restrictions and improve the practicality of the T-coil. In particular we also propose and verify a circuit topology which can further extend bandwidth beyond the limit that conventional T-coil can achieve, and transfer 20 Gb/s data without noticeable distortion.
To Rain, or Not To Rain, That is the Issue : The Role of Storm in Macbeth and King Lear
Goeun Kim Ewha Institute of English and American Studies 2021 Journal of English and American studies Vol.19 No.2
The paper analyzes the role of storm in William Shakespeare’s plays, Macbeth and King Lear as interactive counterparts to the characters and audiences in the theater due to ecophobia, human anxiety on uncontrollable weather. Previous researches have focused on the symbolical representation related to the characters as a simple dramatic setting but I would like to read storm as an active factor to create affective dramatic atmosphere. Moreover, by focusing on the existence of water during the storm in the plays, the storm with or without this natural element serves differentiation to indicate psychological growth of characters such as Macbeth and King Lear. As the weather actively resonates with the character and audience’s psychology, I argue the storm works not only as another antagonist in Macbeth like the three witches who initiate systemic conflict but also as a tool to lead a liminal state of character in King Lear, creating psychological growth. Further, this effect extends to the psychological state of the audiences in Renaissance theater. By reading the storm as a vital feature which engages the interaction though ecophobia, the paper provides how the storm could be reinterpreted in William Shakespeare’s plays and how it could help the stage to achieve psychological immersion from the audiences.

The nucleotide sequence around the translational initiation site is an important cis-acting element for post-transcriptional regulation. However, it has not been fully understood how the sequence context at the 5′-untranslated region (5′-UTR) affects the translational efficiency of individual mRNAs. In this study, we provide evidence that the 5′-UTRs of Arabidopsis genes showing a great difference in the nucleotide sequence vary greatly in translational efficiency with more than a 200-fold difference. Of the four types of nucleotides, the A residue was the most favourable nucleotide from positions −1 to −21 of the 5′-UTRs in Arabidopsis genes. In particular, the A residue in the 5′-UTR from positions −1 to −5 was required for a high-level translational efficiency. In contrast, the T residue in the 5′-UTR from positions −1 to −5 was the least favourable nucleotide in translational efficiency. Furthermore, the effect of the sequence context in the −1 to −21 region of the 5′-UTR was conserved in different plant species. Based on these observations, we propose that the sequence context immediately upstream of the AUG initiation codon plays a crucial role in determining the translational efficiency of plant genes.
