        Empirical Bayes estimation of the truncation parameter with asymmetric loss function using NA samples

        We construct the empirical Bayes (EB)estimation of the parameter in two-side truncated distribution families with asymmetric Linex loss using negatively associated (NA) samples. The asymptotical optimality and convergence rate of the EB estimation is obtained.We will show that the convergence rate can be arbitrarily close to O(n−q), q = s( − 2)/(s + 2).

        We construct the empirical Bayes (EB)estimation of the parameter in two-side truncated distribution families with asymmetric Linex loss using negatively associated (NA) samples. The asymptotical optimality and convergence rate of the EB estimation is obtained.         Thermal behavior study and experimental testing of deep groove ball bearings

        In this study, based on the experimental analysis of heat generation in deep groove ball bearings, the thermal nodes about the deep groove ball bearings is established by using heat network method. The temperature field of the bearing is simulated with finite element software, and the result obtained from the simulation is in good agreement with the comparison of the theoretical calculation results. The bearing test bench was used to analyze the bearing, and the experimental results again proved the effectiveness of the thermal network method. It was found that the bearing speed played a significant role in the working temperature of a bearing, which was consistent to the analysis of the thermal network method, verifying the feasibility of the thermal network method to solve bearing temperature, laying the foundation for the subsequent research on the heat transfer law of motor and rolling bearing.

        Microstructural Characterization and Properties of Al/Cu/Steel Diffusion Bonded Joints

        We prepared Al/Cu/steel composite with a gradient structure using a vacuum hot-pressed diffusion method and investigated the Al/Cu/steel interface. The results show that a supersaturated solid solution with a thickness of about 2 um formed in the Cu/steel diffusion zone. Two kinds of intermetallic compounds, Cu9Al4 adjacent to the Cu side and CuAl2 adjacent to the Al side, formed at the interface of the Al/Cu. The thickness of the intermetallic compound layer appeared to greatly affect conductivity and tensile strength. The conductivity and the tensile strength decreased from 36.9 MS/m to 24.2 MS/m, and from 70.9MPa to 40.7MPa, respectively,while the thickness increased from 3.5 um to 23 um. The fractures occurred between a supersaturated solid solution (Al in Cu) and Cu9Al4, or between Cu9Al4 and CuAl2.

        Hot Compression Mechanism and Comparative Study on Constitutive Models of Mo–3 vol%Al2O3 Alloys

        The hot compression tests for Mo–3 vol.%Al2O3 alloys were conducted on a Gleeble-1500D thermo-mechanical simulatorin the temperatures range of 1000–1300 °C and strain rates range of 0.005–1 s−1. The hot deformation behavior, mechanismassociated with microstructure evolution of Mo–3 vol.%Al2O3 alloys was investigated by electron backscattering diffractionanalysis. Three types of stress–strain curves were analyzed by quantifying the work hardening rate. The deformation mechanismat 1000–1300 °C mainly included the plastic deformation of Mo–3 vol.%Al2O3 alloy, as well as the dynamic recoveryand recrystallization of Mo matrix. The modified Arrhenius, Modified Johnson–Cook and modified Zerilli–Armstrongconstitutive equations were established and evaluated by the correlation coefficient (Rc) and average absolute relative error( ̄e). The flow stress of Mo–3 vol.%Al2O3 alloys could be well predicted by those three constitutive models, but modifiedArrhenius constitutive model had a higher predicated accuracy.

        Chemical composition and in vitro digestibility of corn stover during field exposure and the fermentation characteristics of silage prepared with microbial additives

        Objective: To effectively use corn stover resources as animal feed, we explored the chemical composition and in vitro digestibility of corn stover during field exposure and the fermentation characteristics of silage prepared with lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and cellulase. Methods: Corn ears including the cobs and shucks were harvested at the ripe stage. The corn stover was exposed in the field under natural weather conditions. Silages were prepared after 0, 2, 4, 7, 15, 30, and 60 d of exposure. Corn stover was chopped into approximately 1 to 2 cm lengths and then packed into 5 liter plastic silos. The ensiling density was 550.1±20.0 g/L of fresh matter, and the silos were kept at room temperature (10°C to 25°C). Silage treatments were designed as follows: without additives (control), with LAB, with cellulase, and with LAB+ cellulase. After 45 d of fermentation, the silos were opened for chemical composition, fermentation quality and in vitro digestion analyses. Results: After harvest, corn stover contained 78.19% moisture, 9.01% crude protein (CP) and 64.54% neutral detergent fiber (NDF) on a dry matter (DM) basis. During field exposure, the DM, NDF, and acid detergent fiber (ADF) contents of corn stover increased, whereas the CP and water-soluble carbohydrate contents and in vitro digestibility of the DM and CP decreased (p<0.05). Compared to the control silage, cellulase-treated silage had lower (p<0.05) NDF and ADF contents. The pH values were lower in silage treated with LAB, cellulase, or LAB+cellulase, and lactic acid contents were higher (p<0.05) than those of the control. Silage treated with cellulase or LAB+cellulase improved (p<0.05) the in vitro DM digestibility (IVDMD) compared to that of the control or LAB-treated silage. Conclusion: Corn stover silage should be prepared using fresh materials since stover nutrients are lost during field exposure, and LAB and cellulase can improve silage fermentation and IVDMD.
