Hydrodynamic conditions for optimum solids capture within the contact zone, which are governed by the geometry and flow, are not yet well understood. In this research, dimensionless parameters which represent hydrodynamic conditions in the contact zone were derived, using the Buckingham π theorem. Those parameters are Reynolds No. (Re), Froude No. (Fr), Weber No. (We), Local Weber No., and Bubble Capacity No. (Bc). The particle removal rate was investigated by changing each value of the dimensionless parameters. The experimental results indicate that particle removal rate, when gravity dominates and the flow is semi-turbulent (Fr < 0.3, Re < 8000), is higher than when inertia dominates and flow is turbulent. For the We, higher removal rates were obtained in the range of the We < 40. Relative to the Local We, smaller bubbles which are influenced more by surface tension than inertia, demonstrated a higher particle removal rate than larger bubbles. For the Bc, the optimal range is from 0.3 to 0.5. We suggest that these dimensionless parameters can be used to diagnose the performance of and to design a DAF reactor.

지진과 같은 자연 재해는 인간이 통제하기 어렵고 불가항력적이기 때문에 피해자는 더 큰 정신적 충격과 영향을 받을 수 있다. 성인에 비해 인지, 정서, 사회적 발달이 미숙한 아동의 경우 성인보다 자연 재해로 인한 심리적인 손상이 더 클 수 있다. 또한 지진과 같은 자연 재해는 발생하는 시점에서부터 시간이 흐른 후에도 지속적으로 피해자에게 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 최근 우리나라의 지진 발생 위험이 커지고 있음에도 불구하고 지진과 같은 자연 재해가 미치는 심리적 영향에 대한 연구가 거의 되지 않은 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 자연 재해가 심리적 적응에 미치는 영향을 이해하기 위해 자연 재해가 미치는 일반적인 심리적인 영향과 아동들을 대상으로 진행한 연구를 살펴보고자 하였다. 외국의 사례연구를 고찰함으로써 현재 우리나라에서 지진이 발생한 지역의 아동의 피해규모와 아동에게 미친 심리적인 영향을 파악하는 것의 중요성과 추후 지진 피해 아동의 심리 치료 및 예방에 대한 대책이 필요함을 제언하였다.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the extent of diffusion of Intravenous infusion nursing practice guideline among nurses in advanced general hospitals and general hospitals in Korea. Methods: The subjects were 234 nurses who practice the intravenous infusion in 24 advanced general hospitals and general hospitals. Data were collected between October 5 and November 2, 2015 by mail (return rates: 97.5 %). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA with SPSS/ WIN 21. Results: The average guideline diffusion score and levels of diffusion was 3.39±0.58 (level of “use sometimes”). 44 recommendations (46%) were in level of “use always” and 50 recommendations (53%) were in “use sometimes”. Extent of diffusion were significantly different according to present status (F=2.81, p=.040) and education (F=4.35, p=.014). The facilitating factors to use the guideline were education by department of nursing service, convenient composition of guideline and barrier factors were “no time to use the guideline”, “don’t know the guideline” and “there is no guideline at ward”. Conclusion: Extent of diffusion of Intravenous infusion nursing practice guideline among nurses was moderate level. The strategies for promoting the implementation of guideline in clinical practice is needed. Further study of outcome evaluation of guideline implementation will be needed.
cis-platin에 의한 급성구토예방의 Dexamethasone의 4가지 정주량의 비교

B5-hydroxytryptamine _3수용체(5-HT_3) 길항제와 dexamethasone의 동시투여가 cis-platin에 의한 급성 구토를 막는데 가장 효과적이다. 그러나 현재까지 가장 적절한 정주dexamethasone의 용량이 알려져 있지 않았다. 이에 dexamethasone의 4가지 다른 용량을 투여하여 그 효과를 비교하였다. 환자는 임의 추출되어 cis-platin 투여 45분전에 15분 동안 정주로 각각 dexamethasone 5, 10, 15, 20 mg을 투여 받았다. cis-platin 투여 30분전에는 ondansetron 8 mg이 부가하여 정주 되었다. 1999년 3월부터 2000년 2월까지 54명의 환자가 연구에 등록되어졌고 53명의 환자가 연구 대상으로 실험에 4군 (dexamethasone 5 mg 13명, 10 mg 14명, 15 mg 13명, 20 mg 13명)으로 나뉘어 평가 되어졌다. 급성구토와 구역질의 완전한 예방은 dexamethasone 5 mg을 투여 받은 환자에서 각각 69.2%, 60.9%, dexamethasone 10 mg을 투여 환자에서 69.1%, 61%, dexamethasone 15 mg 투여 환자에서 78.5%, 66.9%, dexamethasone 20 mg을 투여 환자에서 83.2%, 71.0%로 나타났다. 구토로부터 완전한 예방은 dexamethasone 20 mg을 투여 환자에서 5, 10 mg을 투여 환자와 비교하여 높았고, dexamethasone 15 mg을 투여 군에 비교하여서는 약간 우수한 효과만 있었다. 구역질으로부터의 완전한 예방도 월등한 것은 아닐지라도 20 mg을 받은 환자에서 높았다. 항 구토 치료는 특별한 불편 없이 조절되었고, 부작용의 발생에서 4가지그룹간에는 커다란 차이가 발견되지 않았다. Dexamethasone의 20 mg 정주양이 cis-platin으로 인한 급성구토를 예방하는데 가장 효과적인 예방량으로 사료되어진다. Background and objective: A 5-hydroxytryptamine _3(5-HT_3) receptor antagonist plus dexamethasone is the most efficacious antiemetic prophylactic treatment for the prevention of cis-platin induced acute emesis, but the optimal intraveous (Ⅳ) dose of dexamethasone is unknown. This prompted us to perform a randomized, double-blind, dose-finding study that compared four different doses of dexamethasone. Materials and Methods: Patients were randomized to receive dexamethasone, either 5, 10, 15, 20 mg, administered by 15-minute Ⅳ infusion 45 minutes before cis-platin. Ondansetron 8 mg was added to dexamethasone and was administered Ⅳ 30 minutes before cis-platin. From March 1999 to February 2000, 54 patients were enrolled onto the study and 53 were assessable according to the intention-to-treat principle (13 patients received 5 mg; 14 patients, 10 mg; 13 patients, 15 mg and 13 patients, 20 mg of dexamethasone). Results: Complete protection from acute vomiting and nausea was achieved by 69.2% and 60.9% of patients, respectively, who received 5 mg of dexamethasone, by 69.1% and 61.0% of those who received 10 mg, by 78.5% and 66.9% of those who received 15 mg, and by 83.2% and 71.0% of those who received 20 mg of dexamethasone. Complete protection from vomiting was significantly superior in patients who received 20 mg compared with those who received 5 and 10 mg of dexamethasone (P<05) and was superior, but not significantly, compared with those who received 15mg. Complete protection from nausea was superior, but not significantly, in patients who received 20 mg of dekamethasone. Multifactorial analysis confirmed these results. Antiemetic treatment was well tolerated, and no significant difference was found among the four groups in the incidence of adverse events. Conclusion: A 20mg single Ⅳ dose of dexamethasone should be considered the most efficacious prophylactic dose for the prevention of ois-platin induced acute amesis in treatment of cancer.

Event related potential(ERP) were measured in thirty one normal controls(32.9±6.3 in average age), while two kinds of stimuli, frequent and infrequent stimuli were given with an instruction(for counting infrequent stimuli), without an instruction. The amplitudes on N1, P2, P3 were significantly higher with infrequent stimuli than with frequent stimuli in ignoring condition. In instructed condition, the significantly higher amplitudes in P1, N1, P3 components were noted with infrequent stimuli than with frequent stimuli. The amplitude of P3 increased most prominently in an attending condition comparing to an ignoring condition. Good performers of this task showed significantly higher amplitudes in N1 and P3 than bad performers.

Body homeostasis is predominantly controlled by hormones secreted by endocrine organs. The central nervous system contains several important endocrine structures, including the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Conventionally, neurohormones released by the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland (hypophysis) have received much attention owing to the unique functions of the end hormones released by their target peripheral organs (e.g., glucocorticoids released by the adrenal glands). Recent advances in mouse genetics have revealed several important metabolic functions of hypothalamic neurohormone-expressing cells, many of which are not readily explained by the action of the corresponding classical downstream hormones. Notably, the newly identified functions are better explained by the action of conventional neurotransmitters (e.g., glutamate and GABA) that constitute a neuronal circuit. In this review, we discuss the regulation of appetite and metabolism by hypothalamic neurohormone-expressing cells, with a focus on the distinct contributions of neurohormones and neurotransmitters released by these neurons.
