        광양만으로 유입하는 하천하구에서의 이화학적 특성 : 우수기 직후 유입하천에 따른 영향 effect of inputting rivers after rainy season in summer

        Physicochemical characteristics of Kwangyang Bay, have been investigated on the effects of inputting rivers just after rainy season in summer 2003. The results ranged from 4.96~8.01 mg/L for DO, 1.16~3.09 mg/L for COD, 7.21~67.71 μM for DIN and 0.12~121.84 μM for phosphate. The COD of Yeosu Area was 1.19~3.09 mg/L, Kwangyang Area was 1.23 ~ 2.76 mg/L. The COD of Wallae cheon in Yeosu Area was 3.09 mg/L and Donghoan in Kwangyang Area was 2.76 mg/L. The reason of high COD might be industrial sewage of organic chemical plants and iron foundry. DIN of Yeosu Area and Kwangyang Area were 7.21--63.43 μM and 8.43 67.71 μM respectively. The average phosphate of Yeosu Area was 23.65 μM. The source of phosphate might be industrial sewages of fertilizer plant and phosphate gypsum stocked with high amounts. The metal concentrations were measured in the range of 1.01~175.10 ㎍/L for Cu, 0.13~1.78 ㎍/L for Cd, 1.13~5.21 ㎍/L for Pb, 1.58~13.57 ㎍/L for Cr and 1.07~20.68 ㎍/L for As. The average Cu concentration was 78.99 ㎍/L in Kwangyang Area. The source of Cu might be industrial sewage of iron foundry. The average Cr concentration of Yeosu Area was 9.07 ㎍/L. That is 2 times higher than Kwangyang Bay 5.74 gg/L, because of sewage of chemical plants.

      • Hg₁-xMnxTe산화막의 홀효과에 관한 연구

        HClO₄(pH:2) 수용액에서 양극산화 방법으로 HgMnTe(HMT)의 표면에 산화막을 형성 시켰다. 산화막의 두께는 SEM으로 측정하였으며 10㎛였다. 전류-전압 특성곡선을 얻어 산화 피크 전압으로부터 HTeO₂?, TeO?, HHgO₂? 막이 형성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 산화시키지 않은 HMT와 HClO₄수용액에서 산화시킨 HMT에 대해 Hall전압 및 자기저항을 각각 측정하였다. 홀전압과 자기저항은 HMT보다 HMT산화막에서 더 컸으며 이것은 HHgO₂? 공격자가 홀의 역할을 하고, TeO₄? 산화막은 전하의 포획도를 낮게하기 때문으로 생각할 수 있다. Anodic oxidation processes on HgMnTe surface has been studied in standard aqueous HClO₄(pH:2) solution. The 10㎛ thickness of the anodic oxide layers was measured by SEM. The Composition of the anodic oxide layers are evaluated from current-voltage(I-V) characteristic of HgMnTe Oxidation. The layers are composed of mixed oxide. ??, TeO₄, and?? in HClO₄solution. Transport properties have been investigated in HMT oxide layer made in HClO₄solution and virgin HMT samples at 300K. Hall voltage and magnetoresistance are greater in oxide layer HMT than virgin HMT. As a result, we know that the vacancy of ??in an anodic oxide layer acts as hole and the resulting oxide ?? layer exhibit a reduced degree of charge trapping and increase magnetoresistance.

        산란계 사료첨가제로서 크릴분말의 효과

        본 시험은 크릴 분말의 사료적 특성을 조사하고, 산란계 사료에 첨가하였을 때 계란의 생산성과 품질을 비교하기 위하여 수해하였다. 크릴 분말을 산란계 사료에 0, 1 및 2% 수준으로 첨가하여 216수에 6주간 사양시험을 실시하였다. 크릴분말의 일반성분은 수분 8.25%, 조단백질 50.52%, 조지방 16.67%, 조회분 15.72%로 단백질과 지방이 높은 동물성 사료원료였다. 그리고 무기질(15.72%), astaxanthin (10ppm) 및 콜레스테롤 함량 (780ppm) 또한 많았다. 산란율, 연파란율, 일일사료섭취량 및 난중은 처리간에 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 황고 및 난황색도는 크릴의 첨가수준이 높을수록 유의적으로 높아 산란계의 난질을 향상시키는 첨가제로서의 가능성을 보였다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 크릴 분말은 단백질과 지방이 높은 동물성 사료이며, 산란계에서 천연착색제로의 가능성을 보였다. This experiment was conducted to evaluate the chemical composition of Antarctic Krill(Euphausia superba Dana) meal as feed, and to investigate the effect of its supplementation on productivity and egg quality of laying hen. A total of 216 layers at the age 43 weeks in commercial cage were fed for 6 weeks with 3 different diets containing 0, 1, and 2% Krill meal (KM). The chemical composition of KM was consisted of moisture 8.25%, crude protein 50.52%, crude fat 16.67%, curde ash 15.72%, indicating that KM contains large amount of protein and fat. Krill meal also contains large amounts of mineral(15.72%), astaxanthin(10ppm) and cholesterol(780ppm). No differences were found in egg production, broken and soft eggs, and feed intake among treatments. Dietary supplementation of KM resulted in increased egg yolk height(6.1㎜) and yolk color (2) compared with those of control, suggesting that KM can be used as a feed additive for yolk quality improvement. According to the results of this study, Krill meal can be supplemented in laying hen diets as protein and fat sources, and natural coloring pigment.

        On modeling coupling beams incorporating strain-hardening cement-based composites

        Existing numerical models for strain-hardening cement-based composites (SHCC) are short of providing sufficiently accurate solutions to the failure patterns of coupling beams of different designs. The objective of this study is to develop an effective model that is capable of simulating the nonlinear behavior of SHCC coupling beams subjected to cyclic loading. The beam model proposed in this study is a macro-scale plane stress model. The effects of cracks on the macro-scale behavior of SHCC coupling beams are smeared in an anisotropic model. In particular, the influence of the defined crack orientations on the simulation accuracy is explored. Extensive experimental data from coupling beams with different failure patterns are employed to evaluate the validity of the proposed SHCC coupling beam models. The results show that the use of the suggested shear stiffness retention factor for damaged SHCC coupling beams is able to effectively enhance the simulation accuracy, especially for shear-critical SHCC coupling beams. In addition, the definition of crack orientation for damaged coupling beams is found to be a critical factor influencing the simulation accuracy.

        Promoting game-based e-Learning through urban tourism scenario game from the evaluation of knowledge-attitude-usability effectiveness

        This paper introduces a platform of Urban Tourism Scenario Game, which is created to enhance the teaching-learning process of tourism geography and planning through a scenario-based game of a hypothetical city under urban tourism development. This study evaluates and compares the effectiveness of the game in terms of knowledge enrichment, attitudinal changes and usability of the game platform rated by the groups of undergraduate student participants. The overall effectiveness of the game is generally found positive. Paired-sample t-test results indicate that the users have significant positive changes in the dimension of knowledge. Cluster analysis identified two participant groups, namely activecognitive and knowledge-focused learners, which indicated their different aspects of effectiveness from either game-based or discussion learning. This urban tourism scenario game raises students’ learning interests more than acting as a substitute for traditional lecturing. Game-based learning in this urban tourism platform has opened the potential to lead to attitudinal changes by simulating and presenting real-world environments similar to other areas in geography education. Given an arguably lack of clear pattern of the learning enhancement, it is critical that game-based teaching should still be incorporated with other instructional classroom activities to deliver effective knowledge transfer.

        급성 자발성 척수경막외혈종 1예 보고 : Case Report

        We have reported a case of acute spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma in a make patient aged 79-year-old who had suddenly felt a strong pain in the right buttock and lower abdomen. Shortly after he noticed weakness in his legs and two hours later he was completely paraplegic. Operation was undertaken 13 hours after the onset of the illness. A laminectomy was mode from T11 to L1 and a massive epidural hematoma removed mainly from the right posterolateral aspect of the cord.

      • Research on Correlation between Innovative Activities & Development Strategies of New Product and Development Performance in Taiwan's High-tech Companies

        Due to the advancement of technology and rapidly changing environment of the market, the life cycle of high-tech products is becoming shorter. The enterprise must constantly innovate and select correct development strategy of new product in order to respond to customers' demands for upgrading operational performance of industry. Development of new product is the critical activity for enterprise's survival and growth. This research focuses on the effects of Taiwan high-tech companies' introduction of innovative activity and development strategy of new product on development performance of new product for analysis and exploration. The result findings reveal that: (1) High execution degree of innovative activity has positive effect on the implementation of development strategy of new product; (2) The companies with better implementation of development strategy of new product reveal better development performance; (3) The companies with higher degree of execution of innovative activity and better execution of development strategy of new product reveal better development performance of new product.

      • Using Balanced Scorecard to Explore Learning Performance of Enterprise Organization

        In the early industrial age which with high intensity of machine and labor, using financial measurement index was good enough to tie in company`s mechanization and philosophy of management and been in efficiency. But being comply with "New Economic age," a new economic environment is full of knowledge and information, the enterprise competition had changed from tangible assets, plants to intangible innovation ability of knowledge. As recognizing the new tendency by enterprise, they value gradually the growth and influence from learning. Practice of organization learning not only needs firm structure and be in coordination with both hardware and software, but also needs an affect measurement model to offer enterprise to estimate learning performance. It`s a good instrument of financial performance measure mold in the past years, But it`s for measuring the past, couldn`t formulate enterprise trend to future, hard to estimate investment for future, such as development of products, organization learning, knowledge management etc, as which intangible assets and knowledge ability just the key factors of being win around competition environment in the future. In 1992, Kaplan and Norton brought up Balance Scorecard (BSC) on Harvard Business Review, as an instrument helping enterprise to measure performance, which is being considered to be a most influence management instrument. It added non-financial index such as customer, internal process and learning growth besides traditional financial index, as offering enterprise an index to measure and manage intangible assets and intellectual property. As being aware of organization learning is hard to be ignored in the new economic age, this research is based on learning and growth of BSC, and citing one national material company try to let the most difficult measurement performance of organization learning, to be estimate through BSC, analyze of factor and individual case, to discuss the company how to make the related strategy and vision of organization learning to develop learning and growth of the structure of BSC, subject the matter of out put factors to be discussed, and measure the outcomes as a result of research. The research affect offers (1) the base implement procedure of carrying out BSC; (2) the reference of formulating measurement index while enterprise using BSC to estimate performance of organization learning; (3) the possibility bottleneck maybe forcing while carrying out BSC, to be an improvement or preventive for enterprise.

      • Research on the Operational Performance of ISO 14000-Certified Taiwan's Manufacturers

        This research topic evaluates the effectiveness and importance of environmental protection in the 21st century in light of the increasing demand on the earth's natural resources and the pressures on economic and industrial development to provide dynamic power. As the world and our fellow citizens become more conscious of environmental protection, companies are under greater pressure whilst pursuing economic growth. Therefore, domestic manufacturers have been devoting efforts to promote environmental management. This research conducts survey using questionnaires on the operational performance of the manufacturers who have ISO 14000 series accreditation and certification. The survey considers five dimensions/functions within a manufacturer, financial management, human resources management, production management, and marketing management. A total of 35 indices are used for analysis of the effects that the location, history, industry, number of employees, amount of capital, and revenue may have on the performance. This research targets the manufacturers approved of ISO 14000 series certification by Environment Administration Association. The statistical methods deployed are descriptive statistics, T-test, and single factor analysis of variance used for analysis. The conclusions reveal that a certain level of performance has been achieved in every dimension. After T-test, all the indices have reached a significant level. The indications are that ISO 14001 benefits all manufacturers the level of benefits however varies from company to company.

      • The Compensation of Machine Vision Image Distortion

        The measured values of a same object should remain constant regardless of the object's position in the image. In other words, its measured values should not vary as its position in the image changes. However, lens' image distortion, heterogeneous light source, varied angle between the measuring apparatus and the object, and different surroundings where the testing is set up will all cause variation in the measurement of the object when the object's position in the image changes. This research attempts to compensate the machine vision image distortion caused by the object's position in the image by developing the compensation table. The compensation is accomplished by facilitating users to obtain the correcting object and serves the objective of improving the precision of measurement.
