Antiangiogenic-Like Properties of Fermented Extracts of Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants

The three ayurvedic medicinal plants, Withania somnifera, Emblica officinalis, and Bacopa monnieri, were extracted by high-pressure static extraction using the Zippertex® technology. The extracts were mixed to reach quantifiable amounts of active compounds identified by high-pressure liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) analysis. The mixture of extracts was incubated with resting cells of the fungus Beauveria bassiana ATCC 7159. The fermentation promoted the fluidization of the starting dense mixture, while HPLC monitoring evidenced the disappearance of glucogallin from E. officinalis extract and the concomitant increase in gallic acid content. Topical exposure of the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) to the nonfermented extract led to the extensive necrosis and destruction of the treated membrane. However, the fermented extract was shown to be free of any toxicity. Furthermore, compared with the untreated CAM, the fermented sample reduced CAM vascularization, suggesting its antiangiogenic potency. The innocuity of the fermented extract was demonstrated using the in vivo LD50 test, the morphological examination of internal organs of treated rats, as well as the evaluation of blood biomarkers of liver damage (aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase). The fermented extract was developed as a nutraceutical antiangiogenic treatment of age-related macular degeneration and commercialized in an oral form named Ethnodyne-Visio™.

의료소비자의 관계혜태 지각이 관계의 질 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향

Medical institutions are important to develop and maintain enduring relationship with medical service conswners. So, this research aims to find out the effect of medical service conswners perception of relational benefits on relationship quality and behavioral intention. On the basis of the literature review, the research model is established. This research has been done through the survey utilizing medical service consumers in Gangwondo, and the effective 368 questionnaires are tested for the research model. The main findings are as follows. First, among 5 key dimensions of relational benefits, psychological, customization, economic, and information benefits except social benefits have significant effects on relationship satisfaction. Also, medical institutions type and medical service consumers type as moderating variables are included concurrently, and the significant differences are found in other 4 benefits except relationship between social benefits and relationship satisfaction. Second, relationship satisfaction relates positively to relationship commitment and behavioral intention. But the normative commitment, one of 3 key dimensions of relationship commitment, has no significant effects on recommendation to others. Third, the revisit intention has significant effect on recommendation to others. Finally, the findings reveal that the overall goodness fit index of the model is comparatively good and model set in this research is significant. At the end of the research, managerial implications, limitations and future research directions are suggested.

의료 화상을 위한 전처리 필터들의 특성에 관한 연구

There has been no fixed rule of pre-processing course required to do image processing that it was barely possible to find the proper pre-processing course, only to process with experience till now. In this paper, lots of application method of pre-processing algorithm, only available by the non-typified and experiential method, shall quantify and the algorithm method of algorithm according to the rule shall calculate the frequency of the value of each pixel gray level and the histogrm of the image. And then average it to all pixel number and finally set a high-ranking or optional % standardized by the average value in teh standard value. The result of a experiment showed the Median filter is superior to the Mean filter in all image of the smoothing filter. The sobel filter extracted feature. The laplacian filter presented sectional feature which not showed in original image.

The study was performed to make a comparison and to analyse the effect on basic physical strength and interesting degree of primary school students by continuous "skipping rope to music". The test was done in a way that the experimental group of 119 persons and the comparative studying group of 113 persons were tested and analyzed about "physical elasticity, agility, balancing power, sustaining power of heart and lungs, pliability, and interesting degree" before and after skipping rope to music. It was resulted that in the first, continuous skipping rope to music makes considerable effects to improve physical adjusting abilities (physical elasticity, balancing power, agility) and especially, showed the considerable change on statistical data of physical elasticity. In the second, continuous skipping rope to music made significant effects to advance sustaining power of heart and lungs, which may lead to increase of sustaining power of heart and lungs and to improvement of physical circulation system. In the third, muscular strength whs considerably increased by the continuous skipping rope to music, In the fourth the continuous "skipping rope to music" made student think about skipping rope in a good way and it was found that students were more interested in skipping rope together with others than in doing that alone. In line with the above facts, 36 weeks of skipping rope to music resulted in improvement and advancement of basic physical power of primary school students, and it played an important role to make students get interested in doing that, and furthermore, the continuous development of physical training program is expected in the future for a large number of primary school students through readjusting training times and level of "skipping rope to music".

박물관 관람자의 동선특성에 관한 조사

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of exhibition circulation through the movement pattern. It looks into the factors under the influence with the visitor's movement. The method of analysis is statistics of investigation by following after visitors. The viewing behavioral of exhibition based on the time, speed, proportion of appreciation is classified into three types of the profound, the general, the passing viewers. The characteristics of the viewing form of these patterns largely depend on the space elements which are the structure form. And particularly the position of exit, the width of exhibition space and the connection of exhibition space stand out the disparity of the factor of the spatial structure. These three patterns bring about a lot of encounter in the exhibition space according to the difference of these routes consequently. So appropriate to the planning of each pattern can offer visitors to more effective environment of exhibition.

Ryew, C-C and Kim, I-S. Kinematic Analysis of Badminton Smashing Between the Skilled and the Unskilled. Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 13, No. 2, pp. 139-160. The purpose of this study was to suggest the guideline for scientific and quantitative skill acquisition methods of badminton smashing so that the novice could learn the motions of badminton smashing efficiently. The subject participated consisted of total 6 middle school students of the skilled(3) and the unskilled(3). The cinematographical experimental & Analysis equipments used in the study were composed of two Model D-5100 Video Cameras, a control point, a synchronization timer and Kwon3d motion analysis system. The conclusions obtained were as follows; 1. It was necessary for the unskilled to learn the smashing impact phase in situation of max. Velocity of COG in order to minimize the timing loss phase. 2. Particularly, The power from segments of Power Zone must participate in utilization in sequence of order of trunk-upper arm-forearm-hand-racket segment in both the skilled and the unskilled. 3. Therefore It was necessary for the unskilled to do smashing practice for cumulated sum of absolute & relative velocity transfer into shuttle cock after adjusting anterior-posterior tilting angle and max timing, in sequence of segment recruited.
