This study carries out in-depth political feasibility analysis of the prospective health financingreform currently taking place in Taiwan. The National Health Insurance (NHI) Program, whichwas established in Taiwan in 1995, covers virtually all of the island’s citizens. Between the years2001 and 2004, the Taiwanese Government organized a taskforce to carry out the wholesale reformof the NHI program into the so-called ‘Second Generation NHI Program’. This study is part of thecomprehensive review, focusing on the preferences and positions of key policy stakeholders withregard to the financial reform proposals, as well as their network relationships. The approach ofstakeholder analysis was employed to conduct this empirical study. The results reveal that the newfinancing scheme has a certain degree of support from the policy stakeholders participating in thisstudy, and that in particular, the measures concerning equity and sustainability were most welcome. However, controversy remains with regard to the issue of the equitable sharing of contributions. It is clear that there is much strong support for the new scheme amongst the administrativeand legislative elite, although the same level of support is not evident amongst the social eliteaffiliated with employees’ associations and welfare groups.

Purpose: To explore the clinical characteristics of bone metastasis (BM) in a large sample of preliminarily diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinomas (NPCs). Methods: The sample consisted of 1,031 patients diagnosed with NPC at first visitg clinics between October 1989 and June 2012. Several parameters including metastasis locus, T/N staging, diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of BM were analyzed retrospectively. Results: In 70 patients who had been preliminarily diagnosed with BM, the incidence of BM in N0, N1, N2 and N3 stage was 5.7%, 17.2%, 50.2%, and 25.7%, respectively, while the incidence in T0, T1, T2 and T3 stage was 0%, 23.8%, 47.6% and 28.6% respectively. BM occurred in most common in vertebral column, rib, sternum, ilium and femur. Positive rate of Epstein-Barr virus antibody was 77.6%. The median survival time was 12 months. Conclusion: The incidence of BM in NPC preliminarily diagnosed is about 7% and it is related to N classification but not T classification.
Relationship between the FRAX® score and falls in community-dwelling middle-aged and elderly people

Objectives: Falls is a risk factor for fracture. The FRAX® predicts fractures. Whether the FRAX® is associated with fall in both gender is inconclusive. The aim of our study is to evaluate the association between FRAX scores and falls. Methods: The cross-sectional study set from 2009 to 2010 included 1200 community-dwelling people who were systematically sampled in central Taiwan. The 1200 participants (men: 524; women: 676; ?40 years old) completed questionnaires about socioeconomic status; lifestyle; medical and fall history were completed. FRAX scores with and without bone mineral density (BMD) were calculated by using the Taiwan calculator. Results: A total of 19.8% participants fell down. Binary regression models showed that diabetes mellitus history (OR: 1.61; 95% CI: 1.03e2.52), the FRAX without BMD in a continuous major score (OR: 1.06; 95% CI: 1.03e1.09), continuous hip score (OR: 1.11; 95% CI: 1.05e1.16), categorical major score ? 10% (OR: 1.81; 95% CI: 1.25e2.61), and categorical hip score ? 3% (OR: 1.80; 95% CI: 1.30e2.50) were independent risk factors for falls. FRAX with BMD in a continuous major score (OR: 1.04; 95% CI: 1.02e1.06), continuous hip score (OR: 1.06; 95% CI: 1.02e1.09), categorical major score ? 10% (OR: 1.52; 95% CI: 1.09e2.12), and categorical hip score ? 3% (OR: 1.53; 95% CI: 1.13e2.09) were also independent risk factors. Conclusions: We concluded that FRAX® scores with and without BMD were unanimously correlated with falls in community-dwelling middleaged and elderly males and females.
Development of an Indoor Positioning System for Greenhouse Flying Robot
( Ming-jhe He ),( Suming Chen ),( Chao-yin Tsai ),( Chieh-yu Lin ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1
Precision cultivation is a new trend in agricultural production nowadays. The current greenhouse cultivation only uses a few of sensors to represent the overall state of the greenhouse. That couldn’t get the entire environmental conditions of greenhouse and make it difficult to implement precise cultivation in greenhouse. To utilize a quadrotor equipped with sensors to collect the environmental information in greenhouse; and locating the quadrotor is the primary task. Since the Global Positioning System cannot be used in the greenhouse, an indoor-positioning system to locate the quadrotor has to be studied. Lin (2017) has developed an indoor-positioning system which is based on UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology but has not been able to extend to whole greenhouse. In this study, the number of anchors was increased by SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface bus) technology to extend the UWB indoor-positioning system to whole greenhouse. At present, the error of the absolute distance in the indoor positioning system is about 0.08 m. In the flight test, the quadrotor could fly on the scheduled paths and collect the environmental information.
