        Occupational Safety & Health Management and Corporate Sustainability: The Mediating Role of Affective Commitment

        Background: Occupational safety & health management (OSH) has garnered greater attention for its significance in promoting corporate sustainability for organizations in recent decades. The construction industry, in particular, is a major contributor to Malaysia’s thirst for corporate sustainability in order to provide long-term support for the country. Thus, the main tenet of this study is to examine the mediating effect of employee affective commitment on the relationship between OSH and corporate sustainability. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 273 full-time employees of listed construction companies in Malaysia. Smart PLS software version 3 was used to test the proposed model and hypotheses. Both the measurement model and the structural model were evaluated. Results: According to the findings, OSH and its dimensions are positively related to employee affective commitment. Employee affective commitment, on the other hand, has been found to be significantly related to corporate sustainability and its dimensions: economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Apart from this, the prominent results reveal that employee affective commitment partially mediates the relationship between OSH and corporate sustainability and its dimensions: economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Conclusion: This empirical finding adds to the existing literature in explaining how OSH and affective commitment led to corporate sustainability. Several implications are offered to various stakeholders, such as construction companies, policymakers, and relevant regulators.

        라이브 커머스 쇼호스트의 특성이 중국 소비자의 구매 의도에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: In 2020, New Coronavirus spread all over the world, resulting in a sharp decline in the number of consumers going out, and the frequency of buying goods under the line also dropped dramatically. On the contrary, in order to avoid going out, online shopping broke out, and online consumption has become a daily phenomenon all over the world. Without direct access to goods, the online live broadcasting platform has become one of the favorite tools for consumers. The appearance of the showhost gives consumers an offline shopping experience, so the showhosts are welcomed by consumers. Therefore, this paper mainly solves the following problems: How can the Showhosts’ live commerce more accurately convey the information of goods and achieve the effect of consumers’ purchase? What characteristics of the Showhosts will affect the consumers’ purchase intention? Research design, data, and methodology: This paper conducts an online questionnaire survey on consumers with purchasing experience, and finally recovers 307 valid samples. Using SPSS 25.0 statistical package program is used to carryout technical statistical frequency analysis, factor analysis and reliability analysis. In order to test the hypothesis, regression analysis and media effect analysis are also carried out. Results: The results show that the characteristics of Showhost’s marketing have positive impact on consumers’ attitude, the consumers’ attitude(Mood) can affect purchase intention. It is concluded that consumers’ attitude(Mood) plays a media role between the characteristics of Showhost marketing and purchase intention. had a positive(+) effect on purchasing intention. Implications: The research results will contribute to the development of enterprises in marketing. While making use of Showhost for commercial marketing, enterprises should also pay attention to the maintenance of the characteristics of Showhost, maintain the personal reputation of Showhost, and build positive impressions of Showhost in the hearts of consumers, so as to promote the sustainable development of business ecosystem.

        Fault diagnosis method for rolling bearing based on VMD and improved SVM optimized by METLBO

        Vibration signal processing and classification are critical for bearing fault diagnosis. In this study, a hybrid framework based on multi-envelopment teaching-learning-based optimization (METLBO) was proposed by combining parameters optimized variational mode decomposition (VMD) and improved support vector machines (ISVM). First, the average value of minimum enveloping entropy was considered the objective function of the optimizer, and the optimal parameters of VMD were obtained through METLBO optimization. Next, these optimal parameters were adopted to decompose the fault signal into intrinsic modal functions (IMFs). For ensuring fault feature robustness, the eigenvectors were formed by the energy and envelope entropy of IMFs. Finally, the ISVM model was established for training and testing by adding an input layer to the SVM to perform soft thresholding on input data. METLBO was adopted to determine the optimal soft threshold values of features and hyper-parameters of ISVM. The experimental comparison analysis revealed the effectiveness of the proposed method for bearing fault diagnosis.

        Accuracy and reproducibility of 3D digital tooth preparations made by gypsum materials of various colors

        PURPOSE. The study aimed to identify the accuracy and reproducibility of preparations made by gypsum materials of various colors using quantitative and semi-quantitative three-dimensional (3D) approach. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A titanium maxillary first molar preparation was created as reference dataset (REF). Silicone impressions were duplicated from REF and randomized into 6 groups (n=8). Gypsum preparations were formed and grouped according to the color of gypsum materials, and light-scanned to obtain prepared datasets (PRE). Then, in terms of accuracy, PRE were superimposed on REF using the best-fit-algorithm and PRE underwent intragroup pairwise best-fit alignment for assessing reproducibility. Root mean square deviation (RMSD) and degrees of similarity (DS) were computed and analyzed with SPSS 20.0 statistical software (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. In terms of accuracy, PREs in 3D directions were increased in the 6 color groups (from 19.38 to $20.88{\mu}m$), of which the marginal and internal variations ranged $51.36-58.26{\mu}m$ and $18.33-20.04{\mu}m$, respectively. On the other hand, RMSD value and DS-scores did not show significant differences among groups. Regarding reproducibility, both RMSD and DS-scores showed statistically significant differences among groups, while RMSD values of the 6 color groups were less than $5{\mu}m$, of which blue color group was the smallest ($3.27{\pm}0.24{\mu}m$) and white color group was the largest ($4.24{\pm}0.36{\mu}m$). These results were consistent with the DS data. CONCLUSION. The 3D volume of the PREs was predisposed towards an increase during digitalization, which was unaffected by gypsum color. Furthermore, the reproducibility of digitalizing scanning differed negligibly among different gypsum colors, especially in comparison to clinically observed discrepancies.

        The Mixed Kernel Function SVM-based Point Cloud Classification

        Measurement and detection of ground information by airborne Lidar are one of the hot topics in the field of intelligent sensing in recent years. This study proposes a new point cloud classification algorithm of Mixed Kernel Function SVM to distinguish different types of ground objects. Firstly, the combined features including the coordinate values, the RGB value, normalized elevation, standard deviation of elevation, and elevation difference of point cloud data were extracted. A mixed kernel function of Gauss and Polynomial was designed. Then, one-versus-rest SVM multiple classifiers was constructed. Finally, the feature of 3D point cloud data was employed to train the SVM classifiers. The overall classification accuracies of test data were 97.69% and 99.13% for two data sets, I and II respectively. In addition, the experimental results have showed that the performance of the proposed method with mixed kernel function SVM was better than standard SVM method with Gaussian kernel function and polynomial kernel function only, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

        Partly Random Multiple Weighting Matrices Selection for Orthogonal Random Beamforming

        In the multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, orthogonal random beamforming (ORBF) scheme is proposed to serve multiple users simultaneously in order to achieve the multi-user diversity gain. The opportunistic space-division multiple access system (OSDMA-S) scheme performs multiple weighting matrices during the training phase and chooses the best weighting matrix to be used to broadcast data during the transmitting phase. The OSDMA-S scheme works better than the original ORBF by decreasing the inter-user interference during the transmitting phase. To save more time in the training phase, a partly random multiple weighting matrices selection scheme is proposed in this paper. In our proposed scheme, the Base Station does not need to use several unitary matrices to broadcast pilot symbol. Actually, only one broadcasting operation is needed. Each subscriber generates several virtual equivalent channels with a set of pre-saved unitary matrices and the channel status information gained from the broadcasting operation. The signal-to-interference and noise ratio (SINR) of each beam in each virtual equivalent channel is calculated and fed back to the base station for the weighting matrix selection and multi-user scheduling. According to the theoretical analysis, the proposed scheme relatively expands the transmitting phase and reduces the interactive complexity between the Base Station and subscribers. The asymptotic analysis and the simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the throughput performance of the multi-user MIMO system.

        The use of tissue fiducial markers in improving the accuracy of post-prostatectomy radiotherapy

        Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the use of a radiopaque tissue fiducial marker (TFM) in the treatment of prostate cancer patients who undergo post-prostatectomy radiotherapy (PPRT). TFM safety, its role and benefit in quantifying the set-up uncertainties in patients undergoing PPRT image-guided radiotherapy were assessed. Materials and Methods: A total of 45 consecutive PPRT patients underwent transperineal implantation of TFM at the level of vesicourethral anastomosis in the retrovesical tissue prior to intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Prostate bed motion was calculated by measuring the position of the TFM relative to the pelvic bony anatomy on daily cone-beam computed tomography. The stability and visibility of the TFM were assessed in the initial 10 patients. Results: No postoperative complications were recorded. A total of 3,500 images were analysed. The calculated prostate bed motion for bony landmark matching relative to TFM were 2.25 mm in the left-right, 5.89 mm in the superior-inferior, and 6.59 mm in the anterior-posterior directions. A significant 36% reduction in the mean volume of rectum receiving 70 Gy (rV<sub>70</sub>) was achieved for a uniform planning target volume (PTV) margin of 7 mm compared with the Australian and New Zealand Faculty of Radiation Oncology Genito-Urinary Group recommended PTV margin of 10 mm. Conclusion: The use of TFM was safe and can potentially eliminate set-up errors associated with bony landmark matching, thereby allowing for tighter PTV margins and a consequent favourable reduction in dose delivered to the bladder and rectum, with potential improvements in toxicities.

      • The Composition-Tunable Polydiacetylenic Complex Films: Conformational Change upon Thermal Stimulation and Preferential Interaction with Specific Small Molecules

        <P>Polydiacetylenic complex films were prepared using 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA) and para-xylenediamine (<I>p</I>XDA) upon acid-base interactions. The thermochromatic reversibility of the complex films was modulated by changing the mixed molar ratio (3 : 1, 2 : 1, and 1 : 1) of the two molecules. The corresponding conformational changes of the complex films were studied by ex situ FTIR analysis upon thermal stimulation for the first time. In addition, the binding specificities of <I>α</I>-, <I>β</I>-, and <I>γ</I>-cyclodextrins (CDs) with the films were studied, where the <I>α</I>-CDs can induce stronger red fluorescent emission of the films. These fundamental results may be useful for platforms that use these polydiacetylenic complex films as optoelectronic devices or chemical/biological sensors.</P>

        Evaluation of reference genes for miRNA expression analysis in Galeruca daurica (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) using qRT‐PCR

        The selection of suitable reference genes (RGs) for data normalization is a crucial step for obtaining reliable results from gene expression analysis using the quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Expression stability of eleven putative RGs (miR-100-5p, miR-92a-3p, miR-998-3p, miR-279d-3p, miR-305-5p, miR-276a-3p, miR-275-3p, miR-9a-5p, miR-2a-3p, U6 snRNA and 5S rRNA) was assessed by using a web-based tool: RefFinder, which integrates four algorithms (Delta Ct, geNorm, NormFinder, and BestKeeper), and the best combination number of RGs was calculated by geNorm. Validation of selected RGs was performed by an expression analysis of let-7-5p under different experimental conditions. The best combinations of RGs were shown as follows: miR-100-5p + miR-275-3p for temperature treatment, miR-100-5p + miR-305-5p for adult tissues, miR- 276a-3p + miR-9a-5p for genders, miR-2a-3p + miR-276a-3p for days after eclosion, U6 snRNA + miR-9a-5p + miR-2a-3p for developmental stages, and U6 snRNA + miR-279d-3p for all above conditions, and there was no one RG suitable for all experimental conditions. Incorrect RG selection affected the evaluation of let-7-5p abundance. Our findings demonstrate that an integrated approach of multiple algorithms is necessary to identify reliable, stable RGs for miRNA evaluation, and provide a basis for further studies on expression and function analysis of miRNAs and their target genes in Galeruca daurica, a new pest with great outbreaks in Inner Mongolia since 2009.
