Estimation of the critical current of race-track HTS magnet considering angular dependency

The high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet has been developed for the high magnetic field applications such as NMR, MRI and other industrial machinery. In designing process of these HTS magnets, the accurate estimation on the critical current (Ic) is essential to predict and secure the electromagnetic performance. The critical current of 2G HTS tape has anisotropic Ic degradation characteristics with the application of magnetic field - angular dependency of critical current. It is known that the perpendicular magnetic field to the face of HTS tape makes dominant degradation on the critical current for conventional 2G HTS tape. However, recently developed 2G HTS tape has more complex characteristics due to the artificial pinning center. Therefore, the method for Ic estimation reflecting such characteristics of 2G HTS tape needs to be devised. The method considering the angular dependency is introduced in this paper. And the result of newly devised method is compared with that of previous method.

Recently, the navigation service and LBS (Location based Services) based on maps provide much information services on mobile terminal. Also Internet Web provides a user various information such as the e-tour service, the e-culture service, and etc. But, the user has the difficulty searching many Internet Web sites for various services and information, because each Internet Web site provides limited information based on each service. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose a fusion mashup application model for integrating information of various culture, education, tourism, sport, transportation services based on web-GIS. And we design and implement an application prototype of the fusion mashup application program of culture, tourism, sport and bus line information, and cultural place of Island Jeju using this model. We uses the Apache web server on Linux environment, the My-SQL the database, and the Naver map OpenAPI for the application prototype. And we verify the normal operation that the application prototype provides the integrated information of culture, tourism, sport and transportation based on map.
초고속 LSM 추진용 초전도 전자석 시작품의 설계, 제작 및 평가

초전도 선형동기모터(LSM) 추진 기술을 이용한 600km/h 급 레일식 초고속 철도에 대한 연구가 진행 중에 있으며, 초전도 LSM 추진 기술의 타당성 연구를 목적으로 초전도전자석 시작품을 이용한 축소형 LSM 추진 장치를 개발하였다. 초전도 전자석 시작품은 2 극 구조로, 하나의 냉각조 내에 2 개의 초전도 코일로 구성된다. 각 초전도 코일의 기자력은72kAt 이며, 600 km/h 급 실 모델 대비, 약 1/5 크기 및 성능의 자기장을 발생 하도록 설계되었다. 사용된 초전도 도체는 임계전류가 200A(@77K) 이상인 GdBCO 계열의 고온초전도체로서, 100 % 국산화 선재를 사용하였다. 초전도 전자석의 냉각은 냉매 Free 를 위한 전도냉각기술을 적용하였으며, 약 7~10K (-266~-263℃)의 온도에서 운전하였다. 본 논문에서는 초전도 전자석 시작품의 설계, 제작 및 평가 결과를 소개한다. KRRI(Korean Railroad Research Institute) has studied superconducting linear synchronous motor (LSM) as the propulsion system for 600km/h high-speed railway. A scale-down superconducting LSM has successfully developed to demonstrate the system’s design feasibility. This paper introduces the design, fabrication and tests of the prototype superconducting electromagnet. The electromagnet consists of 2-pole superconducting coils in one cryostat, which is about 1/10 scale-down model in the performance of realscale one. The superconducting coil uses 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation high-temperature superconductor (HTS), GdBCO, as the coiling material which was fully provided by a Korean manufacturer. The electromagnet is operated at the cooling temperature of 7~ 10 K and generates the electromotive force of 72,000 At.

한국전쟁기 병원선의 활동은 유엔 안전보장이사회의 군사지원 결의를 통해 시작되었다. 한국전쟁 당시 의료지원국으로 활동한 국가는 이탈리아, 인도, 덴마크, 스웨덴, 노르웨이였다. 이 중 병원선을 파견한 국가는 덴마크였다. 미국은 군사지원과 함께 병원선 세척을 파견했다. 각 병원선은 MS Jutlandia(덴마크), USS Consolation(AH-15), USS Haven(AH-12), USS Repose(AH-16)(이상 미국)였다. 네 척의 병원선은 한국전쟁 전반에 걸쳐 의료 활동을 적극적으로 수행했다. 이들의 활동은 크게 군 의료지원과 민간인 치료 및 구호로 나뉜다. 병원선은 최신식 시설을 갖추고 부상자에 대한 수술 및 치료를 진행했다. 부상자 중 치료가 더 필요한 장병은 후방 지대인 부산, 일본 등으로 후송되었으며, 일정 기간에 한번 본국에 귀국하기도 하였다. 네 척의 병원선은 헬리콥터 플랫폼을 설치하면서 더욱 진일보한 의료지원을 할 수 있었다. 한편 민간인들에 대한 치료 및 구호도 진행되었다. 특히 고아에 대한 구호가 많이 진행되었다. 해군 장병들은 고아원에 구호금을 모아 전달하기도 했고, 고아들을 초청하여 선상에서 파티를 열고, 치료를 해주기도 했다. 전쟁 기간 병원선의 치료를 받은 환자는 군과 민간을 합쳐 대략 20만 명이 넘는다. 병원선은 질적으로도 굉장히 우수한 치료를 선보였다. 병원선은 죽어가는 부상병들이 실려 오는 공간임과 동시에 부상병과 민간인에 대한 치료 구호가 이루어지는 이중의 공간이었다. 치료 및 구호자들은 이러한 광경을 지켜보았다. 그럼으로써 병원선은 전쟁의 파괴자적 모습과 구원자적 모습을 동시에 확인할 수 있는 공간 중 하나가 되어 갔다. During the Korean War, the hospital ship began with a resolution of military support by the UN Security Council. The countries that served as medical support countries during the Korean War were Italy, India, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway (West Germany is post-war and recognized as medical support countries in 2018). Among them, Denmark sent hospital ships. The United States dispatched hospital ships with military support. Each hospital ship was MS Jutlandia (Denmark), USS Consolation (AH-15), USS Haven (AH-12), and USS Repose (AH-16) (USA). Four hospital ships actively carried out medical activities throughout the Korean War. Their activities are largely divided into military medical support, civilian treatment, and relief. The hospital ship was equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and operated and treated for the injured. Among the injured, soldiers who needed more treatment were evacuated to Busan and Japan, which are rear areas, and returned to their home country once in a certain period of time. Four hospital ships were able to provide more advanced medical support by installing helicopter platforms. Meanwhile, treatment and relief for civilians were also carried out. In particular, there were many slogans for orphans. Navy soldiers collected and delivered relief funds to the orphanage, and invited orphans to hold parties and treat them on board. During the war, more than 200,000 patients were treated by hospital ships, including the military and the private sector. It showed excellent quality treatment. As such, the hospital ship was a space where dying wounded soldiers were carried in, and at the same time, it was a double space where treatment relief was provided for injured soldiers and civilians. The hospital ship was one of the spaces where you could simultaneously confirm the destructive and savage aspects of the war.
도시철도차량의 운행조건을 고려한 추진제어장치용 필터 리액터 경량화 연구

본 논문은 도시철도차량용 필터리액터의 경량화를 목적으로, 필터 리액터의 허용전류밀도를 현재보다 높게 설계함으로서 제품의 경량화 가능성을 다루고 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 허용전류밀도를 높여 20 % 경량화된 시작품을 제작하였으며, 실제 차량 운행 조건을 모의한 부하시험을 실시하였다 시험결과, 기존 제품에 비해 약 15~20 ℃ 정도의 온도 상승이 나타났지만 허용 온도 기준에 비해 충분한 온도 여유가 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 차량의 실제 운행 환경을 고려할 경우 충분히 적용 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 현 제품을 20 % 이상 경량화 할 수 있음을 확인하였다. This paper deals with the feasibility study of a reduced-weight filter reactor for urban electric multiple (EMU) by increasing the max. current density of the coil conductor. A prototype of which current density was designed to be 50 % higher than conventional one was prepared and tested. The test current condition was defined from the operation pattern of the EMU. The results showed that the prototype can be satisfied with the temperature requirement. In this study, we concluded that the weight of filter reactor could be reduced by about 20 %.
Development of LSM Control System for Super Speed Maglev

As a propulsion device for super speed maglev with 500km/h level, the powerful linear synchronous motor(LSM) is necessary. To control the LSM, the precise position data of high speed running maglev should be detected and transmitted to the inverter controller which provides the synchronized current to the LSM stator attached on the guideway. And to minimize the power input to the stator, the whole guideway is devided into several sections and the power is supplied to the only one section which the train is running on. In this case, precise section change control is needed to mitigate the vibration and noise. In this study, first, the infinite loop type LSM and section control testbed is developed. Then, LSM and section control algorithms are applied to the testbed and the feasibility of derived control techniques are verified through the experiments.
