Derailment Behaviors of the Train-Ballasted Track-Subgrade System Subjected to Earthquake Using Shaking Table

Licong Cao,Changwei Yang,Jianjing Zhang 대한토목학회 2020 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.24 No.10

Ballasted track is the most common track model in railway system and earthquake would be a great threaten for train running safety. This study investigates derailment features and lateral displacement response of the train-ballasted track-subgrade system subjected to earthquake using 1-g shaking table. The model was loaded using scaled Zhengzhou Huanghe Qiaozhi (ZHQ) earthquake wave, ALS earthquake and CHY004 earthquake which are with variable-characters. It is observed that current stopping threshold for train is conservative because derailment factor is less than 0.8. The derailment factor of train increase with increasing acceleration amplitude and the critical derailment condition of train under ZHQ earthquake, ALS earthquake and CHY004 earthquake is 0.18 g, 0.15 g and 0.15 g, respectively. The lateral displacement of rail is negligible compared with that of wheel. Lower-frequency earthquake would cause larger derailment factor with derailment analysis and displacement analysis. The maximum peak lateral displacement of wheel under critical derailment condition is significant, which means train safety is under a great danger.

Congenital Pial Arteriovenous Fistula in the Temporal Region Draining into Cavernous Sinus: A Case Report

        Ziyin Zhang,Kun Yang,Chaohua Wang,Changwei Zhang,Xiaodong Xie,Jianjian Tang 대한영상의학회 2013 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.14 No.3

This report concerns a 4-month-old infant with progressive prominent and redness of his left eye since birth. This report concerns a 4-month-old infant with progressive prominent redness of his left eye since birth. Angiography revealed a congenital pial arteriovenous fistula between the temporal branch of the left posterior cerebral artery and left cavernous sinus through the sphenoparietal sinus, a condition not reported in the literature. The fistula was successfully occluded with two micro-coils by vertebrobasilar approach.

A Computed Tomography Analysis of the Success of Spinal Fusion Using Ultra-Low Dose (0.7 mg per Facet) of Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 in Multilevel Adult Degenerative Spinal Deformity Surgery

        Gabriel Liu,Jun Hao Tan,Changwei Yang,John Ruiz,Hee-Kit Wong 대한척추외과학회 2018 Asian Spine Journal Vol.12 No.6

Study Design: Retrospective cohort study. Purpose: To report on spinal fusion assessment using computed tomography (CT) after adult spinal deformity (ASD) surgery using ultra-low dose recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (RhBMP-2). Overview of Literature: The reported dose of RhBMP-2 needed for successful spinal posterolateral fusion in ASD ranges from 10 to 20 mg per spinal level. This study reports the use of ultra-low dose of RhBMP-2 (0.07 mg per facet) to achieve spinal fusion in multilevel ASD surgery. Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent ASD surgery using ultra-low dose RhBMP-2 were recruited. Routine postoperative CT analysis for spinal fusion was performed by two spine surgeons. Inter-observer agreement was calculated for facet fusion (FF) and interbody fusion (IBF) at 6 and 12 months after the procedure. Results: Six consecutive ASD patients with a mean age of 62 years (28–72 years) were examined. Each patient received a total dose of 12 mg with an average dose of 0.69±0.2 mg (0.42–1 mg) per single FF and 1.38±0.44 mg (0.85–2 mg) for IBF. Total 131 FF and 15 IBF were examined in the study, with 88 FFs and nine IBFs being analyzed specifically at 6 months after the surgery. FF and IBF reported by surgeons A and B at 6 months were 97.7% vs. 91.9% FF, respectively (κ=0.95) and 100% vs. 100% IBF, respectively (κ=1). Two patients underwent longitudinal follow-up CT at 12 months, and the FF rates reported by surgeons A and B were 100% vs. 95.8%, respectively (κ=0.96). Five out of nine facet (56%) non-unions were identified at the cross-links. The remaining four facet pseudarthrosis were noted at 1–2 spinal levels caudal to the cross-links. At the final clinical follow-up, there was no rod breakage, deformity progression, neurological deficit, or symptom recurrence. The Oswestry Disability Index improved by an average of 32.8±6.3, while the mental component summary of the 36-item Short-Form Health Survey improved by an average of 4.7±2.1, and physical component summary improved by an average of 10.5±2.1. Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first study to report a CT that defined 92%–98% FF and 100% IBF using the lowest reported dose of RhBMP-2 in multilevel ASD surgery. The use of ultra-low dose RhBMP-2 reduces the RhBMP-2 related complications and healthcare costs.

Thermal study of a scanning beam in granular flow target

        Lin Ping,Qin Yuanshuai,Hao Changwei,Tian Yuan,Wan Jiangfeng,Jia Huan,Yang Lei,Duan Wenshan,Cai Han-Jie,Zhang Sheng 한국원자력학회 2022 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.54 No.11

The concept of dense granular-flow target (DGT) for the China Initiative Accelerator Driven Subcritical system (CiADS) is an attractive choice for high heat removal ability, low chemical toxicity, and radiotoxicity. A wobbling hollow beam is proposed to enhance the homogeneity of temperature rise of flowing particles in beam-target coupling zone. In this paper, the design procedure of target and beam parameters was discussed firstly. Then we simulated the heat deposition and transfer of the scanning beam in DGT to study the effect of beam parameters. The results show the flux density of proton beam plays a crucial role in the distribution of temperature rise while the contributions from scanning frequency heat transfer are also obvious. Moreover, heat transfer in transversal directions is insignificant, resulting in a low heat flux towards the sidewalls of DGT. This work not only contributes to the design of DGT, but also beneficial for understanding the beam-target coupling in porous materials

Trajectory optimization of an electrohydraulic robot

        Xueju Peng,Guangzhu Chen,Yingjie Tang,Changwei Miao,Yang Li 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.10

The electro-hydraulic robot has great driving torque and plays an irreplaceable role in manufacturing. In this paper, a trajectory planning method for a 6-DOF electro-hydraulic robot based on time-energy-jerk is proposed and realized. A multi-objective function of the electro-hydraulic robot about working efficiency, impact, stability and energy consumption factors was built, at the same time, the kinematic and dynamic constraint functions were also built. The multi-objective trajectory function of the robot was optimized by using the nondominated neighborhood immune genetic algorithm, and the optimal position, velocity, acceleration and jerk planning curves of each joint were obtained. In the experiment, the flow output curves of the hydraulic system of joint 6 based on fuzzy-PID control strategy under noload, 1.5 kg load, 4 kg load were obtained, and show that the velocity and position trajectory of the joint can be well controlled using the presented fuzzy PID control strategy.
