This study was carried out to determined the physico-chemical properties of milk protein of Cheju native mare milk using polyacrylamide gel and sodium dodecyl sulfate -polyacrylamide gel elrctroporesis and to obtain fundamental information for the preservation of Cheju native horse. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Whey protein of Cheju native mare's milk were separated on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis into immunoglobulin, serum albumin, α-lactalbumin. β-lactoglobulin , whey protein. 1) The whey protein showed four variable bands which were considered to be different types (A,B, C and D). 2) Seven whey phenotypes (AA,BB,AB,AC,BD,BC and CD) were observed. The distribution of AA, AB and BB was 13.4% 40% and 13.4%, respectively, and that of the other individual phenotypes was less than 10%. 2. Casein of Cheju native mare's milk was separated into three malor components α_(s)-.β-and k-casein on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. 1) α_(s)-casein zone was found in as hort distance wlth 4-7 zones. 2) The ratio of α_(s)-casein to β-casein was 1:1.3 and simllar to that reported on thorughbred mare milk (1:1.6) but higher than that β-casein found in Holste in cow's milk (1:0.6) 3) k-casein was found the form of a polymer held together by intermolecular dlsulfide bond. 3. Whey protein of Cheju native mare's milk were separated on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in to 7 bands. The molecular weights of correspond to approximately 66,500, 66,000, 65,000, 59,500, 19,500, 16,500, 12,000 daltons, respectively.

Eunuch, a castrated human male. Castration as a form of punishment was practised from remote antiquity in the far and middle east, and eunuchs were employed as palace officials. Their position as the personal servants of a ruler might well lead to considerable personal influence ever the ruler himself, and they came to be used as the confidential assistants of rulers. Eunuchs were almost always castrated either for a crime or in childhood after having been sold by poor parents: they were, therefore, people who were completely dependent on and owed everything to their ruler. Eunuchs were used as political advisers in china during the Chou (周) period, and also under the Han (漢), T'ang (唐) and Ming (明) emperors. The founder of the Ming dynasty, T'ai-tsu (太??), considered the evil of the eunuchs in the Han and T'ang dynasty and prohibited their participation in politics. The most representative of Eunak's many authorities of Ming (明) Dyansty were generally termed Twenty-four Authorities, which were controlled by Ssu-il-chien (司禮監). And these authorities were fully organized in T'ai-tsu (太??), but they were a little changed after that time. The first position of Twenty-four Authorities was called T'ai-jian'n (太監), and their rank was comparatively high. At first the number of them was fixed, but lastly it was increased according to each authorite's need. The important affairs of those Authorities were to take charge of whatever the life of the king needed.

Until now, various cutting test were needed to acquire optimal design of end mill for the purpose of high speed machining, due to the insufficient knowledge about cutting process in high speed machining. Using various tools with differentgeometry, relationships between tool geometry parameter (rake angle, clearance angle, length of cutter) and cutting process (cutting force, surface accuracy, surface roughness) have been studied. Acquired data can be used to design optimal tool for high speed machining

악관절장애환자의 교합안정장치 장착 전후의 Pantronic PRI에 관한 비교연구

This study was performed to diagnose the existence and the degree of TMJ dysfunction using Pantronic PRI and to investigate the degreeof dysfunction under treatment and to evaluate the period until dysfunction were disappeikared. For this study, 12 patients who had visited at the TMJ Clinic of Dnakook University were investigated with Pan-PRL, 8 exper imental group patients were treated with occlusal splint therapy and 4 control group patients were not altered of occlusion during this study. The results were as follows. 1. Occlusal splint therapy was effective on treatment of TMJ dysfunction. 2. in the slight dysfunction group, dysfunction was disappeared after 4-5 weeks since occlusal splint therapy was started. 3. Pan-PRI is useful to evaluate the existence of TMJ dysfunction, the degree of dysfunction results of treatment with occlusal splint therapy and to decide other occlusal treatment modalies.

耽羅의 郡縣設置에 대한 考察 : 高麗前期를 중심으로

The relationship between Tamra and Koryo seems to have been begun around the eighth year of King Taejo's (太祖) rule. When the Koryo Dynasty terminated the second three-kingdom period some years later, Tamra sent congratulatory envoys to the mainland kingdom and thereby they won the titles of prince or seong-ju (星主). It is considered as complying with thetraditional practices from the Silla Dynasty, the purpose of which was to take some control over the Jeju island by means of pacification measure. But beginning with it Tamra became a tributory state of the Koryo Dynasty and so came to be under the indirect rule of it. As the first result of it, the ruler of Tamra was called in the Koryo Dynasty seong·ju(星州), which had seemingly independent power over the kingdom of Tamra-guk(耽羅國), while it signified a self-reliant nation. And in some ways, for instance in naming princes, its ruling system was different from that of Koryo. Secondly, the Koryo Dynasty dispatched meddling envoys. They kept general state affairs under close observation, and were responsible for reporting and intervention about the affairs in the island. Thirdly, the Koryo Dynasty conferred Mu-san-gye(武散階) on influential natives. Such measure endorsed their public positions in governing thier district, and was used cunningly in order to strengthen the control by Koryo over the island people. Finally the Tamra Kingdom sent congratulatory representatives on the occasion of royal enthronement or prince installation in the Koryo Dynasty, and of national festive days, and they offered local products as tribute, thereupon receiving many pleasing entertainments and convenient accommodations. As the the establishment of provincial government offices, Tamra district was treated in much the same way as others, beginning during the rule of King Hyonjong(顯宗). Later in the tenth year of King Songjong(成宗), Tamra district was furnished with complete local government offices belonging to the Koryo Dynasty. But the offices were reduced to lower grades during the rule of King Euijong(毅宗). The most prominent among the governors dispatched after the establishment of Hyon(縣) was Choi-chok-kyong. He was appointed as the governor two times and was celebrated for his wise rule. But the maladiministrations by unjust local employees leds to a succession of rebellions by the native people. As for the contents of local administration in Tamra, we had no detailed source for knowing the number of district governments. We can only figure that it was small and increased later on. We can also find out that after the rule of King Kojong(高宗) the names for governors changed into deputy ambassador(副使) or judge(判官) instead of Ryong(令) or Ui(尉) used at the beginning of the dynasty. As a rule such names were attached to the positions higher than county(郡), which fact puts us in doubt as to whether that change meant the promotion of position itself or it only resulted from the consideration of the local peculiarity of an island post.

안구적출에 따른 위둔덕의 칼슘결합단백질의 재구축 및 상호 연관성

Background: Superior colliculus is a part of midbrain, and participates in the visual reflexes, It receives afferent fibers from optic nerve, visual cortex, and spinotectal tract. After optic deprivation, the microscopic structure of the superior colliculus changed. Calcium-binding proteins (CBPs) Play an important role in the neuronal protection, differentiation and reorganization of the central nervous system, Objectives and Methods: The effects of neonatal retinal deafferentation on a CBPs, calbindm D-28k (CB), Parvalbumin (PB) and calretimn (CR), and the existence of colocalization between the CBPs were examined immunohistochemically in the rat superior colliculus. Results: On the experimental (contralateral to enucleation) side of superior colliculus, the number of CB-immunoreactive (IR) cells was reduced (77.4% compared to control), but not fibers. The number of PB-IR neurons and fibers was also reduced on the experimental side (88.5% compared to control), In the other hand, the CR-IR cells were dramatically increased (642% compared to control), but CR-IR fibers were markedly decreased on the experimental side. The colocalization between CB-CR and PV-CR was rarely observed in the superior colliculus Conclusion: These results suggest that the changes of retinotectal projection may alter the expressional pattern of CBPs in different manners; relatively stable in CB- and PV-IR neurons and plastic in CR-IR neurons.
