In line with the change of lifestyle in the contemporary society, the eating space is not a simple eating place for food, but a place of complicated roles such as social meeting, entertainment and conference. The reason of such diversified and complicated space is caused by the increase of income level of consumers, increase of urban population and consumption pattern change. However, despite diverse spaces of food culture, studies on ‘sashimi’ restaurants are very scanty. Accordingly, this study selected the target of case study as representative ‘sashimi’ restaurant and examined through drawing analysis, site analysis, photo taking and actual measurement of main parts. As a result, as for the floor structure of food and drink space, it was found that securing excellent view is important for seat display. Secondly, 1F, 2F and 5F were mainly occupied by cooking and management divisions. Thirdly, the area ratio of sales, cooking and management divisions affected the customer movement and employee movement. Fourthly, standing seats were displayed for customers and room seats were displayed for the premium image of restaurant and for customers who want independent eating space. It is believed that this study would be useful in spatial structure of ‘sashimi’ restaurant. However, as it is the result of an analysis of 1 restaurant at Suyoung-gu, Busan, it would be hard to generalize the result as the common for ‘sashimi’ restaurant. Therefore, continual further studies are recommended to generalize it.

Hair style is very important factor in determining esthetic expression, and its form has been changed as the society changed. A new, original and differentiated style is required to be abe to express the social phenomena. The personal character, social position, and attitude could be judged from the hair style. Thus, the hair style is strong tools for personal communication and image delivery as well as esthetic expression. First, the shape of the human face could be changed positively by altering the hair style. The weak point can be hidden, and the strong point can be looked better. Second, a study of hair style on face shape leads us find out personal images including strong and weak point. The personal characters can be reexpressed by using this scientific principle. Third, the image of hair style is not determined by one factor but determined by various factors. The hair style can be completed by combination of design type, color, texture according to each shape of face. We believe the deep and various study on hair style is needed to express the social culture, value, and ideology. The research for the new and original techniques are also requested to be able to make-up various shape of face.

The present study reports a case of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and infiltrating into the maxillary sinus. Inverted papilloma is an uncommon and locally aggressive benign tumor of the sinonasal region. The patient, 51-year-old male, presented with unilateral nasal obstruction and periodic swelling on the palate without pain. Enhanced CT scan revealed a heterogeneously enhancing solid mass in the nasal cavity and infiltrating into the right maxillary sinus, as well as an incidental, secondarily infected residual cyst m the periapical area of the right maxillary canine. The sinonasal mass was revealed as an inverted papilloma on histopathologic examination.

We report herein synthetic results obtained new types of crown ethers containing coumarin group. Crown ethers containing coumarin group 1~3 are hydroxymethyl-15-crown-5-ether linked with 4-hydroxy coumarin-4-acetic acid byesterification reaction. Crown ethers containing coumarin group 1~3 have different cavity in each crown ether rings. The 12-crown-4 ether with coumarin 1 has the smallest cavity size. The 15-crown-5 ether with coumarine 2 has the medium cavity size. The 18-crown-6 ether with coumarin 3 has the largest cavity size. Therefore each crown ether with coumarin group will recognize different ionic radius metal. Because of different hole size in crown ethers, these crown ethers seem to be had different selectivity in luminescent sensors. The crown ethers with coumarine 1~3 synthesized hydroxymethyl-15-crown-5-ether and 4-hydroxy coumarin-4-acetic acid same ratio at one to one. The synthesized crown ethers were characterized respectively by IR, NMR. GC-Mass.

We have investigated the effects of hypha-water extracts (HWE), fruit body-water extracts (FWE) and cordycepin from Cordyceps militaris on serotonin release out of human platelets and human platelet aggregation. HWE and FWE inhibited the release of [^(3)H]-serotonin from human platelet stimulated by thrombin (2 U/ml) or collagen (20 ㎍/ml) in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, cordycepin, a major component of Cordyceps militaris, inhibited the human platelet aggregation induced by collagen (10 ㎍/ml) in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that cordycepin containing in HWE and FWE may inhibit the serotonin release by suppressing the collagen-induced human platelet aggregation. Accordingly, our data demonstrate that HWE and FWE containing much cordycepin might have antithrombotic and antimigrainous functions.
