Compact Printed Monopole Antenna With Inverted L-shaped Slot for Dual-band Operations

In this paper, we proposed a compact printed monopole antenna with an inverted L-shaped slot for dual-band operations. Two operating frequency bands are achieved with the use of an inverted L-shaped slot etched on the radiating strip for bandwidth enhancement and a defected ground structure for return loss improvement in the higher frequency band. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has impedance bandwidths (S11< -10 dB) of 270 MHz (1.81–2.08 GHz) and 340 MHz (2.36–2.70 GHz), covering the required bandwidths for PCS (1850.5–1989.5 MHz), CDMA 2000 (1850–1990 MHz), TD-SCDMA (1880–2025 MHz) and 2.4 GHz WLAN (2400–2484 MHz). The measured return loss of the proposed antenna has a good value of approximately 27.2 dB at 2.4 GHz WLAN. The antenna’s peak gains also have a high value of 1.92 dBi at 2 GHz and 2.12 dBi at 2.45 GHz. The proposed antenna shows omnidirectional radiation patterns over the entire frequency range of interest.
유아의 시지각 인지기능 개선을 위한 이미지 블록 연동형 콘텐츠 구성과 구현

본 논문에서는 스마트폰의 사진과 영상을 활용하는 상호작용형 콘텐츠 디바이스인 아이퍼즐 이미지 블록과 연동 가능한 시지각 인지기능 훈련 콘텐츠를 구성하였다. 이를 위해 시각기억, 시각연속성, 공간관계, 시각구별의 4개 영역을 도출하고 콘텐츠 동작, 활용방법과 시나리오를 작성하였다. 콘텐츠 이미지를 디자인하고 기존 학습지형 시각 및 지각 인지기능 훈련 자료를 모바일 미니 게임형으로 개발하여 유아의 훈련참여 욕구를 지속부여, 유도하고자 하였다. 개발된 콘텐츠를 활용하여 일반 아동과 보호자를 대상으로 체험활동을 수행하였으며 기본 퍼즐 완구 대비 높은 집중도와 유익성, 효과성에서 의미있는 결과를 확인하였다. 본 논문을 통해 디지털 완구와 콘텐츠를 기반으로 하는 인지기능 개선활동 연구에 의미있는 자료가 되기를 기대한다. In this paper, in order to compose the visual perception cognitive function training content that can be linked with the IPUZZLE image block, an interactive content device that utilizes photos and videos of smartphones. Four areas of visual memory, visual continuity, spatial relationship, and visual discrimination were derived and the content operation, application method, and scenario were written. It was intended to continuously give and induce children’s desire to participate in training by designing the content image and developing the existing learning terrain visual and perceptual cognitive function training materials in the form of mobile mini-games. Experiential activities were conducted for general children and their guardians using the developed contents, and the results were found to be significant in terms of concentration, effect, and effect compared to basic puzzle toys. It is expected that this thesis will be a meaningful data for the study of cognitive function improvement activities based on digital toys and contents.

본 연구는 Laban이 제시한 모션 분석 기법을 이용하여 모션의 긴장도를 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 긴장도값을 이용하면 캐릭터 모션과 배경음악간의 자동적 동기화를 위한 기준값으로 사용할 수 있다. Laban의 모션 분석 기법, 즉 LMA는 모션을 Effort라고 명명된 4개의 시공간적 요소로 나누고 각 4개의 Effort마다 2가지 상반된 기준을 제시함으로써 모션을 분석하도록 하였다. 이러한 기준을 양적으로 측정하기 위해 우리는 운동학, 역학에 기초한 수식을 제안하고 이를 통해서 계산된 실제 긴장도 값을 실험데이터에 근거하여 조정하였다. 실험을 통해 제안한 긴장도 측정 결과는 어느 정도 사람의 반응과 비슷한 정도의 순위 판별 능력을 보였다.

In this paper, an N-MCT with a low threshold voltage of off-FET has been investigated by simulation and experiment. We have demonstrated the MCT with self-aligned spacer formation and recess process, which results in uniform off-FET channel length. And boron is implanted to adjust the threshold voltage of off-FETs. The threshold voltage of non-doped and proposed MCT was -1.2 V and 0.6 V, respectively. The forward blocking voltage of both MCTs was similar to 1800 V and the turn-on voltage of MCTs was 0.2 V and 0.75 V, respectively. The non-doped and proposed MCTs exhibit the same di/dt around 35.7 kA/㎲ and peak current of 2.69 kA. That is pointed out that this proposed MCT structure is promising because the current driving capability is improved without degradation of on-state characteristics.

Thirty-eight patients of mucocutaneous candidiasis were evaliated with oral Ketoconazole. The group included 18 patients with cutaneous candidiasis, 7 with oral candidiasis and 13 with vaginal candidiasis. The patients under the age of 10 years received 100㎎ of ketoconazole per day, whereas these aged over 10 received 200㎎ of ketoconazole until the skin lesions were cured. Twenty-two patients had complete climical and mycologic cure, 3 responded clinically. Thirteen nonpregnant women were selected on the basis of proven vulvovaginal candidiasis and were divided into two groups. One group received 400㎎ of ketoconazole per day for three days, and the other group received 200㎎ per day for three days. Of the 5 patients who received the 200㎎ dosage, 2 were cured. Only one female patient had complained nausea, but it is negligible, and no patients required discontinuation of the drug. Ketoconazole is effective drug for oral therapy of dermatophytosis in human, and deserve further study.

The Bluetooth Low Energy profile has the advantage of continuing wireless communication with very little power consumption compared to the existing Bluetooth, so it is widely applied to smart devices. Most of them are applied to Point-to-Point (1:1) communication between Central (Master) and Peripheral (Slave), but can be applied to Point-to-Multiple (1:N) wireless communication through the use of multiple threads and timers. Therefore, in this paper, a precise timer was designed in the BLE profile to devise an image segmentation transmission/reception structure based on multiple access, and a smart image block device applied to it was designed and verified.

<P>Apoptosis, which is involved in the process of mesangial cell and podocyte loss in diabetic nephropathy, is known to be regulated by protein kinase B/Akt (Akt). A number of studies have therefore investigated the activity of Akt under diabetic conditions, but the results have not been consistent. In this study, we hypothesized that apoptosis may occur differentially and that Akt may be differentially activated according to glomerular size in diabetic kidney disease.</P>

<P>Herb extracts commercially used in Asia were screened for their estrogenic activity with a recombinant yeast system with both a human estrogen receptor (ER) expression plasmid and a reporter plasmid. Pueraria lobata (flower) had the highest estrogenic relative potency (RP, 17-estradiol = 1.00) (7.8e-3) (RP for + control), followed by Amomum xanthioides (1.3e-3), Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Zingiber officinale, Rheum palmatum, Curcuma aromatica, Eriobotrya japonica, Sophora flavescens, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Polygonum multiflorum and Pueraria lobata (root) (9.5e-4–1.0e-4), and Prunus persica, Lycoppus lucidus and Adenophora stricta (9.0e-5–8.0e-5). In the antiproliferative assay, five human cancer cell lines representing different tissues (breast, lung and ovary) were used. Eriobotrya japonica showed strong cytotoxicity in ER-negative breast cancer (MDA-MB-231), cervix epitheloid (HeLa) and lung (A549) carcinoma cell lines. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.</P>
