      • Active 라우터를 이용한 혼잡제어에 관한 연구

        기존의 end-to-end 방식에서는 네트워크 내부에서 혼잡(congestion)이 발생했을 경우 각 endpoint에서 즉시 알아 낼 수 없기 때문에 일정시간 동안 수신된 packet의 순서에 대한 정보로 혼잡이 발생했는지에 대해 추론하는 것이다. 따라서 네트워크 내부에서 직접적으로 정보를 얻거나 처리를 해 줄 수 있다면 기존 방식보다 처리율이 향상될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Active Network 메커니즘을 이용하여 라우터를 구성하고 관련 모의실험결과를 보인다. 이를 통해서 기존의 방식보다 향상된 혼잡제어를 제시한다.

        W치환 2205 이상 스테인리스강의 크리프 특성 평가에 관한 연구

        22Cr-5Ni 2상 스테인리스강의 합금원소 중 몰리브덴(Mo) 원소를 텅스텐(W)으로 치환하여 크리프거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 크리프시험은 600℃와 650℃의 온도에서 실시하였다. 650℃ 크리프 시에는 취약한 금속간화합물인 σ상이 석출하였으며 이것은 크리프수명을 급격히 감소시키는 역할을 하였다. Mo에 대한 W원소의 치환은 일반적으로 σ상의 석출을 지연시킨다고 알려져 있으나, 2wt.%까지 W 치환을 실시한 본 연구범위에서는 크리프 수명 및 최소 크리프속도에 뚜렷한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 크리프손상의 정도를 평가하기 위하여 크리프시편에 대한 초음파검사를 실시하였다. 크리프온도 600℃에서는 크리프시편의 수명이 증가함에 따라 음속이 비례적으로 증가하였으나 650℃에서는 반대로 감소하였다. The effect of the substitution of Tungsten(W) for Molybdenum(Mo) on the creep behaviour of 22Cr-5Ni duplex stainless steel(DSS) has been investigated. Creep tests were carried out at 600℃ and 650℃. Intermetallic σ phase is precipitated during creep at 650℃, at which creep rupture time was much lower compared with at 600℃. The substitution of W for MO in the duplex stainless steel was known to retard the formation of σ phase. Minimum creep rate and creep rupture time, however, were hardly influenced by the substitution of 2wt.% W. An ultrasonic measurement for the creep specimens has been carried out for the evaluation of creep damage. The sound velocity increases propotionally with the increase of creep rupture time at 600℃ of creep temperature. On the contrary, the sound velocity decreases with the increase of rupture time at 650℃, which can be correlated with the microstructural evolution during creep.

        Protective Effects of Apigenin and Quercetin on Aflatoxin B1-induced Immunotoxicity in Mice

        This study examined the effects of quercetin and apigenin on the changes in the production of antibodies and cytokines as well as lymphocyte proliferation in aflatoxin B1 (AFB1)-treated mice. Serum titers of immunoglobulin (Ig) subsets, such as IgA, IgG1, and IgG2a, were changed significantly by the AFB1 treatment. These changes were inhibited by supplementation with flavonoids. AFB1exposure also suppressed the secretion of cytokines, such as interferon-γ, interleukin-4, and tumor necrosis factor-α,in splenocytes in response to lipopolysaccharide or concanavalin A. A co-treatment with apigenin suppressed more sensitively the AFB1-mediated alteration of cytokine secretion and DNA synthesis by splenocytes than quercetin. This study suggests that flavonoids have preventive effects against AFB1-mediated immunotoxicity. In particular, apigenin is more capable of chemopreventing such toxicity than quercetin.

        As the size of the FPD(Flat Panel Display) becomes larger and its resolution is higher, it is required a new controller to support these specifications. In this paper, we have designed a universal controller of a-Si TFT LCD which will dominate the future market. We propose a new type of a LCD controller, which is constructed by four-line parallel-bus architecture and can enlarge low resolution images to SXGA class images by using a new interpolation algorithm. The proposed LCD controller has been simulated and synthesized by using Synopsys VHDL.

        The present study was a part of the project surveying ecological characteristics of soybean collections for breeding materials. Under short day conditions (9 hrs) after flowering, all fifty-five cultivars showed the following results. 1. Seed ripening periods were shortened under short day conditions after flowering, and the accelerating rate was larger in the cultivars from the USA and other country than with domestic or Japanese cultivars. 2. Accelerating in maturity was larger in Kwangdu. Tousan 69, Ao-7445, Pi-31408 and Pi-68552, whereas the flowering nonsensitive varieties under short day conditions, like Haman. Gembokin, Harosoy, Wirth, Wayne and Pi 54613, had the same nonsensitivity in maturity. 3. The short day length during the seed ripening period tended to decrease morphological characteristics such as stem height, stem diameter, number of nodes, number of pods per plant, and number of seeds per plant showing little difference between varieties or their origins. 4. The short day conditions during the ripening period caused a decreas in 100 seed weights showing little variation between origins. The short day leneth also influenced weight of seed per plant showing a difference between origins-that is domestic varieties showed a larger decrease than those from the USA or Japan.

        DEVELOPMENT OF A WALL-TO-FLUID HEAT TRANSFER PACKAGE FOR THE SPACE CODE

        The SPACE code that is based on a multi-dimensional two-fluid, three-field model is under development for licensing purposes of pressurized water reactors in Korea. Among the participating research and industrial organizations, KAERI is in charge of developing the physical models and correlation packages for the constitutive equations. This paper introduces a developed wall-to-fluid heat transfer package for the SPACE code. The wall-to-fluid heat transfer package consists of twelve heat transfer subregions. For each sub-region, the models in the existing safety analysis codes and the leading models in literature have been peer reviewed in order to determine the best models which can easily be applicable to the SPACE code. Hence a wall-to-fluid heat transfer region selection map has been developed according to the non-condensable gas quality, void fraction, degree of subcooling, and wall temperature. Furthermore, a partitioning methodology which can take into account the split heat flux to the continuous liquid, entrained droplet, and vapor fields is proposed to comply fully with the three-field formulation of the SPACE code. The developed wall-to-fluid heat transfer package has been pre-tested by varying the independent parameters within the application range of the selected correlations. The smoothness between two adjacent heat transfer regimes has also been investigated. More detailed verification work on the developed wall-to-fluid heat transfer package will be carried out when the coupling of a hydraulic solver with the constitutive equations is brought to completion.

        Hepatic Splenosis Preoperatively Diagnosed as Hepatocellular Carcinoma in a Patient with Chronic Hepatitis B: A Case Report

        <P>We report on a case of hepatic splenosis. A 32-yr-old man underwent a splenectomy due to trauma at the age of 6. He had been diagnosed as being a chronic hepatitis B-virus carrier 16 yr prior to the surgery. The dynamic computer tomography (CT) performed due to elevated serum alpha-fetoprotein (128 ng/mL) demonstrated two hepatic nodules, which were located near the liver capsule. A nodule in Segment IVa had a slight enhancement during both the arterial and portal phases, and another nodule in Segment VI showed a slight enhancement only in the portal phases. Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the mass in Segment VI showed enhanced development in the arterial phases and slight hyperintensivity to the liver parenchyma in the portal phases. These imaging findings suggested a hypervascular tumor in the liver, which could be either focal nodular hyperplasia, adenoma, or hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Even though these lesions were diagnosed as HCC, some of the findings were not compatible with typical HCC. On dynamic CT and MRI, all lesions showed a slight arterial enhancement and did not show early venous washout. All lesions were located near the liver capsule. These findings, along with a history of splenectomy, suggested a diagnosis of hepatic splenosis.</P>

      • 韓國 西南海岸 慈恩島의 海藻相

        1990년 11월부터 1991년 8월까지 서해안 남부에 위치한 자은도의 해조상에 대해 조사한 결과 남조류 3종, 녹조류 20종, 갈조류 18종, 홍조류 51종 등 총 92종의 해조츄가 채집·동정되었고, 이들 중 Rhizoclonium hookeri와 Cladophora sp.는 전남산 미기록종이었다. 종 조성의 분석결과 자은도는 외양과 내만의 해양환경이 복합적으로 나타나는 온대성 지역으로서 녹조류이 출현비율이 높고 갈조류의 출현비율은 낮으며, 서남해안에서 R/P ratio는 내만으로부터 외양으로 갈수록 낮아져 수온 뿐 아니라 탁도의 영향도 강하게 받는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편, 조간대에서 해조류의 수직분포 양상은 조간대 상부로부터 불등풀가사리, 애기우뭇가사리, 바위수염-뜸부기, 지충이, 톳, 구멍갈파래-개서실, 우뭇가사리, 작은구슬산호말, 참보라색우무의 순으로 이어지는 특징을 보인다. The benthic marine algae of Jaeundo, west-southern coast of Korea was investigated on a floristic point of view from November, 1990 to August, 1991. Species identified from the area are 92 species in total: 8 species of Cyanophyta, 20 of Chlorophyta, 18 of Phaeophyta and 51 of Rhodophyta. Of these species, Rhizoclonium hookeri Kuetzing and Cladophora sp. are newly added to Cheonnam flora. The species composition is characterized by temperate flora, showing a mixed pattern of inland and open sea area. R/P ratio gradually increase toward open sea area in the west-southern coast. It suggest that floristic characteristics in this area is strongly influenced by turbidity as well as sea water temperature. The vertical distribution of marine algae is characterized by Gloiopeltis furcata, Gelidium divaricatum, Myelophycus simplex-Pelvetia siliquosa, Ulva pertusa, Sargassum thunbergii, Hizikia fusiformis-Chondria crassicaulis, Gelidium amansii, Corallina pilulifera, Symphyocladia latiuscula, in turn.
