美國人蔘(Panax quinquefolium)에 있어서 Callus 誘起 및 器官分化에 미치는 植物生長調節劑의 影響

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of some plant growth regulators such as kinetin, naphthalic acetic acid(NAA), 2, 4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid(2, 4-D), indoleacetic acid(IAA) and yeast extract on the callus induction and organ differentiation of Panax quinquefofium. Stem apex, stem, root and leaf blade of the explant were cultured in e modified Murashige and Skoog's medium supplemented with different concentrations of the plant growth regulators at 23'c under dark condition. Subculture was done on the medium added with 2mg of 2,4-D per liter, and 5mg of NAA, respectively. 1. In callus induction and growth the root was first initiated and stem apex, stem and leaf blade in order were followed. 2. The medium containing 2mg of 2, 4-D per liter was most effective in callus growth and NAA was also effective in growth of the explant. 3. Although NAA showed the significant effect in rooting from various parts of the explant, no effect was observed with 2, 4-D. The amount of callus growth and rooting increased proportionately with NAA concentration in the range of 5mg per liter in the medium. 4. IAA was not effective in callus induction from P. quinquefolium explant. 5. Callus growth with yeast extract was accelerated in 2, 4-D medium, but completely depressed it in NAA medium. 6. NAA was effective in rooting and shooting from the explant in subculture but 2, 4-D was only effective in callus forming and growth.

The influence of excess iron content (x) and reaction atmosphere on permittivity, permeability and microwave absorbing properties has been investigated in composite specimens embeded with (Ni0.4Zn0.6O)1-x(Fe2O3)1+x powders. A nitrogen atmosphere used for the reaction of the ferrite with excess iron composition (x>0) enhances spinel formation, and thereby increases both the magnetic and the dielectric loss of the ferrite composite. We also investigated the relation between the electromagnetic constants and the absorbing properites using impedance-matching solution maps for zero reflection. It is suggested that a superior microwave absorber can be fabricated through atmosphere and excess iron control during the powder process.

To study the adaptation of some soybean cultivars and the suitable sowing date in the Jeonbug area, field experiments were made at 3 sites (Jeonju,Jinan and Jangsu) in 3 growing seasons(early sowing, ordinary sowing and late sowing), Yields and some agronomic characteristics were investigated obtaining the following results. 1. Emergence required longer period in the early sowing (May 25) than the ordinary sowing(June 10) or the late sowing (lune 25)which required the shortest period. No difference was found among varieties in the same sowing date. 2. Number of days from sowing to flowering decreased with a delayed sowing date. The rate of shortened period of time was found in Jangsu, Jinan and Jeonju in increasing order. 3. A delayed sowing date decreased stem length, stem thickness, number of nodes in the main culm, number of pods in the main culm and 100-grain weight showing remarkable de-creases among indeterminate varieties. 4. Seed yield also decreased with a delayed sowing date. 5. The highest yield was found in indeterminate varieties such as Williams or Hill in early or ordinary sowing in Jeonju. However, Kwang-kyo or Suweon #83 gained the better yields in late sowing. 6. In hilly areas (Jinan or Jangsu) determinate varieties, such as Kanglim, Suweon #83 or Kwang-kyo, gained comparatively high yields in any sowing date.
