      • 國際競爭力 向上을 위한 技術開發 促進戰略에 관한 硏究

        本硏究에서는 技術이 一國의 經濟成長 및 國際競爭力의 向上에 있어서 차지하고 있는 役割의 重要性을 再認識하고 우리나라 企業들의 技術開發을 促進하기 위한 戰略을 探索해 보고자 하였다. 이러한 戰略 探索을 위해 우리나라의 技術開發過程 및 現況을 分析하여 問題點을 導出하였고 技術開發潛在力의 國際比較를 통해 우리의 脆弱點이 무엇인가를 糾明하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 問題點과 脆弱點을 補完하기 위해서 政府, 企業, 學界는 어떤 정책과 전략을 세워야 할 것인가에 대해 제시해 보았다. The focus of this study is on a search of the strategy for accelerating technology development by Korean firms and industries through re-examining the importance of the role of technology in promoting the international competitiveness and economic growth of a country. In searching of this strategy, we extracted various problems confronting Korean firms and industries, by examining the history of technology development and by analyzing present status of the activity. And we clarified the relative weaknesses of Korean firms and industries in technology development, by comparing internationally the potentiality of technology development. Finally, we suggested the possible strategies to solve above problems and to complement above weaknesses, which may be pursued by the government, business managers and academic members.

        응급의학과에서의 인공호흡기 처치

        Study Objectives : To investigate and resolve the problems related with ventilator management in ED(emergency department). At present the ventilator is essential equipment of ED on university hospital and emergency center in Korea. Design : Retrospective consecutive case series. Setting : University teaching hospital Type of participants : All patients admitted and recieved ventilator management in ED of yeungnam university hospital from Jan. 1994 to jul. 1995. Methods and interventions : Charts of all patients were reviewed to determine the frequency, the types and causes of respiratory failure, the death rate, the mean duration of admission, the complications, and CPR(cardiopulmonary resuscitation) related with ventilator management in ED. We also identified the problems related with ventilator management by ED physicians and nurses through the answers to seven questions that suggested by us about ventilator management in ED. Measurements and main result : There were 34,751 admissions through ED during the study period. Of these 160 patients managed with ventilator in ED. The frequency of ventilator management in ED is increased at 1995(0.73%) that compared with 1994(0.32%). Non-trauma(113 cases) and hypoxic respiratory failure(83 cases) patients are more common than trauma(37 cases) and ventilatory failure Total CPR rate related with ventilator management are 25.3%. The mean duration of admission are 12.56±20.28 days, and the death rates are 45.3%. The incidence of complications occurred during ventilator management in ED are 37 cases. About seven questions suggested by us to 30 ED staffs(ED physician, nurses and paramedics), most frequent answer is the difficulty of keeping ventilator in ED because other department rent ventilator from ED and lost a part of ventilator. Conclusion : As the use of ventilator in ED is increased the emergency physician should be well trained for the indications, complications, setting mode and general problems of machine occurred during ventilator management in ED patients.

        대구 상인동 가스참사로 본 지역 응급의료체계에 대한 고찰

        Disaster may be defined as a sudden calamitous event associated with great damage or destruction. A more common definition, among emergency-preparedness planners, is a medical occurrence that overwhelms medical care systems and facilities. Most regional disaster plans are formulated to respond to disasters of moderate size. At 07:50 A.M. on 28 April 1995, gas explosion was happened at Sangin-Dong where was going to be under construction of subway in Taegu, Korea. 102 victims had died and 178 victims had moderate or minor injuries. Problems in the organization at the scene, triage, field management, transport to the hospital, and the communication contributed to the confusion in the management of victims. An analysis of this disaster allows several lessons to be learn about perimeter control, command functions, crowd control, and transportation priorities. It will benefit disaster planners in other communities.

        남자 알코올 의존 환자의 기질적 특성에 관한 연구

        목 적: 본 연구의 목적은 한국인 남자 알코올 의존 환자의 기질적 특성을 Temperament and Character Inventory(TCI)를 이용하여 조사하는 것이다. 방 법: DSM-Ⅳ 진단 기준에 맞는 알코올 의존 환자 30명과 정상인 36명을 대상으로 연구학적 특성을 조사하고, 기질적 특성을 한글판 TCI를 이용하여 조사하였다. 모든 대상자의 나이는 30~60세였다. 결 과: 1) 두 군간 평균 나이는 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 교육 정도와 결혼을 유지하고 있는 비율 및 취업률은 알코올 의존군이 정상 대조군에 비해 유의하게 낮았다. 2) 알코올 의존군에서는 정상 대조군에 비해 Harm Avoidance(HA) 점수와 Self-transcendence(ST)점수는 유의하게 높았으며, Self-directiveness(SD)점수는 유의하게 낮았다. 3) 알코올 의존군 내에서의 각 척도들 간의 상관관계는, HA와 SD 점수, HA와 Persistence(PE) 점수, ST와 SD 점수는 각각 유의한 음의 상관관계, ST와 PE 점수, SD 점수와 Cooperativeness(CO) 점수, Reward Dependence(RD)와 CO 점수는 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 결 론: 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 한국인 남성에서 수줍음을 잘 타며, 걱정도 많고, 염세적이고 쉽게 피로해지는 기질적 특성이 알코올 의존과 연관성이 있음을 의미한다. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to assess the temperament of male parients with alcohol dependence. Methods : The subjects were 30 patients who met DSM-Ⅳ criteria for alcohol dependence and 36 normal controls. All subjects completed Temperament and Character Inventory(TCI) which was developed by Cloninger. Results : 1) The educational level, marital status, and occupation in alcohol dependence group were significantly lower than those of normal control group, but there was no difference in the age between two groups. 2) Among the scores of TCI, the score of harm avoidance(HA) and self-transcendence(ST) were significantly higher in the alcohol dependence group than in the normal control group. 3) In the alcohol dependence group, a significant negative correlation among the scores of TCI was between HA and SD, HA and Persistence(PE), ST and SD, and positive correlation between ST and PE, SD and Cooperativeness(CO), Reward Dependence(RD) and CO. Conclusion : These results suggest that shy, fearful, pessimistic and fatigable temperament are related to developing alcohol dependence in Korean males.

      • Workload Evaluation on Human Engineering Part in Wolsong 1 Stress Test

        After Fukusima 1 nuclear power plant accident in Japan, lots of measures have been taken to strengthen the safety of the nuclear power plant. One of them is stress test, which evaluates the maintainability of plant safety assuming the most severe condition that has no power supply and ultimate heat sink. This report describes one of stress test results performed for domestic nuclear power plants in the point of human engineering aspect such as organization, personnel, working procedure, man-machine interface, working tool, environmental condition, education and training, etc. The stress test for the area of human engineering has been conducted in accordance with the international guideline, which establishes ultimate accident scenarios and evaluates time and measures during the process of scenarios for recognizing the status, deciding countermeasures, installing counter-measuring facilities and its implementability before the plant reaches function failure, fuel damage or containment failure. It also evaluates the existence of relevant equipment and tools and its utilization strategy, relevance of organization and personnel, and work procedure. The evaluation results show that all the plants are appropriately prepared and maintained against ultimate condition.

      • Consideration of Internal and External NPP Failure Case by Human Error

        Objective: This paper suggests the consideration to promote safety culture of NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) by analysis of operation experience, analysis of the reason for reactor trip by cause and group, and alternative suggestion for reduce reactor trip. Results: As a result of Analysis, human error was the most frequent reason for reactor trip. Safety culture enhancement, preventive action reinforcement for operator human error, human behavior improvement are strongly demanded. Finally continuous improvement activity such as operation experience, benchmarking, corrective action program and self-diagnosis program, for stable NPP operation, must be carried out.
