Purpose of this study was to obtain basic anatomical data for developing optimal toothbrush which is appropriate for Koreans Dental study models were examined by measuring the length from labial midline of deciduous canine to distal surface of deciduous second molar, from labial midline of permanent canine to distal surface of second premolar, from mesial surface permanent first molar to distal surface of permanent second molar, cervico-incisal length of deciduous central incisor, cervico-incisal length of permanent central incisor, from mesiobuccal cusp of deciduous maxillary second molar to mesiolingual cusp of deciduous maxillary second molar, from mesiobuccal cusp of permanent maxillary first molar to mesiolingual cusp of permanent maxillary first molar, from distolinual cusp of deciduous mandibular second molar to mesiolingual cusp of deciduous mandibular second molar, from mesiobuccal cusp of permanent mandibular first molar to mesiolingual cusp of permanent mandiblar second molar in 241 subjects. And the width of right hand was examined on each subjects by measuring the length of landmarks which were selected in handwrist X-ray film. Commercial toothbrushes sold in Korea were collected and the head length, head width, bristle length and handle length of toothbrushes were measured. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The head length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 6 to 8 was less than 21.8 mm. The head width length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 6 to 8 was less than 8.4 mm. The bristle length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 6 to 8 was more than 5.7 mm. The handle length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 6 to 8 was more than 84.3 mm. 2. The head length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 9 to 11 was less than 20.4 mm. The head width length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 9 to 11 was less than 8.4 mm. The bristle length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 9 to 11 was more than 9.3 mm. The handle length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged 9 to 11 was more than 95.2 mm. 3. The head length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged over 12 was less than 25.5 mm. The head width length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged over 12 was less than 8.6 mm. The bristle length of toothbrush which wee appropriate for Koreans aged over 12 was more than 9.6 mm. The handle length of toothbrush which were appropriate for Koreans aged over 12 was more than 101.1 mm. 4. Some toothbrush for children was not appropriate because of its big size, and toothbrush sells in Korea must be diversified for appropriate selection.

The separation of symphysis pubis as a result of injury is uncommon, but it is increasing in number in parallel with today's speedy development of car industry. Most cases of the separation of symphysis pubis are amenable to closed treatments, but unstble separation where the reduction is difficult to maintain may require open techniques. Authors analyzed 27 cases of traumatic separation of symphysis pubis with 16 months follow-up on an average, who had been treated at the Orthopaedic Department, Chosun University Hospital. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The most common cause was traffic accident (81.5%). 2. Among of 27 patients, instability on the posterior stabilizer of pelvic bone was noticed in 18 patients. 3. Fifteen patients were treated with closed methods(bed rest, hammock, traction)and twelves were treated by the open reduction and internal fixation. 4. Internal fixations were carried out with plate and screw(5 cases), screw and wiring(4 cases), and wiring (3 cases). 5. The separation of symphysis pubis with minimal disruption of posterior stabilizer were treated by closed treatment or internal fixation of the separation of symphysis pubis diastasis alone, and its result was good or excellent. 6. We think that the symphysis pubis diastasis with severe disruption of posterior stabilizer should be fixed anteriorly and posteriorly both.
일부 시판세치제의 비교치아마모도 및 경과시간에 따른 유효불소농도변화에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to assess relative tooth abrasivity and to measure effective fluoride concentration of dentifrices selling in Korea for help consumer's selection of suitable dentifrice. Assessment of the abrasion on tooth produced by different dentifrices were carried out on bovine teeth in the laboratory and tested by radioactive dentin abrasion method. And total soluble fluoride concentrations within the dentifrices was determined using fluoride ion selective electrode with standard curve obtained from standard solutions of known fluoride concentration. 10 dentifrice samples were stored at 49t for 15 weeks and the measurements were made for each dentifrice in 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 13 weeks and 15 weeks and 11 dentifrice samples were stored at 40.6C for 3 weeks and the measurements were made for each dentifrice in 1 week and 3 weeks. Tooth abrasivity of selling dentifrices is suitable for toothbrushing but dentifrice which recommended for patient who have tooth abrasion or erosion was somewhat high abrasivity level. Effective fluoride concentrations of selling dentifrices were maintained generally optimal level. But some dentifrices contaning CaCO_(3), as abrasive were decreased as time elapsed. It was suggested that relative tooth abrasivity must be marked on package and fluoride level should be maintained acceptable level in dentifrices for consumer's selection of suitable dentifrice.

The reaction of titanium tetraisopropoxide with 2 equiv of N,N-diethyl acetoacetamide affords Ti($O^iPr)_2(CH_3COCHCONEt_2)_2$ (1) as colorless crystals in 80% yield. Compound 1 is characterized by spectroscopic (Mass and $^1H/^{13}C$ NMR) and microanalytical data. Molecular structure of 1 has been determined by a single crystal X-ray diffraction study, which reveals that it is a monomeric, cis-diisopropoxide and contains a six coordinate Ti(IV) atom with a cis($CONEt_2$), trans($COCH_3$) configuration (1a) in a distorted octahedral environment. Variable-temperature $^1H$ NMR spectra of 1 indicate that it exists as an equilibrium mixture of cis, trans (1a) and cis, cis (1b) isomers in a 0.57 : 0.43 ratio at -20$^{\circ}C$ in toluene-$d_8$ solution. Thermal properties of 1 as a MOCVD precursor for titanium dioxide films have been evaluated by thermal gravimetric analysis and vapor pressure measurement. Thin films of pure anatase titanium dioxide (after annealing above 500$^{\circ}C$ under oxygen) have been grown on Si(100) with precursor 1 in the substrate temperature range of 350- 500$^{\circ}$ using a bubbler-based MOCVD method.

본 연구는 COVID-19 시대에서 빠르고 정확한 진단검사를 위해 임상병리사의 역할을 파악하고, 효율적으로 대응할 수 있는 체계적인 시스템 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구 방법은 15개 의료기관을 대상으로 설문조사 및 초점 집단 면담을 통한 분석을 하였다. 검체 채취 기관(11개)을 분석한 결과, 선별검사소 운영 기관은 7개, 임상병리사 10.4명, 채취 소요시간 2.1분, 검사소요시간 5.4시간, 검사건수 9,670건, 검사인력 6.2명으로 조사되었다. 초점 집단 면담 분석결과, COVID-19검사와 관련하여 검체 채취자 및 검사자를 보호하기 위한 근무시간, 근무장소, 근무환경이 포함된 표준화된 지침은 없었다. 그리고 감염사고 발생 시 법적인 보호 조치가 미흡하며, COVID-19와 관련한 인력에 관한 규정이 마련되어 있지 않았다. 또한, 신뢰도 있는 COVID-19 검사를 위해 검체 채취자 및 분자진단 검사자의 전문적인 교육이 요구되었다. 결론적으로 COVID-19와 같은 긴급상황 감염병 발생 시 대처할 수 있는 특수검사 단기수련기관 등을 통한 전문교육의 시행과 안정적인 인력공급 할 수 있는 법적인 체계마련이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. This study attempted to provide the basic data for developing a system to identify the role of medical technologists and ensure an efficient response for quick and accurate diagnostic tests in the COVID-19 era. The research method involved using focus group interviews for a survey and analysis of 15 medical institutions. Eleven sample collection institutions, 10.4 medical technologists, 2.1 minutes of collection time, 5.4 hours of test time, 9,670 tests, 6.2 member test workforce size, and 7 screening center operating institutions were surveyed. The results of the focus group interview analysis revealed that there were no standardized guidelines covering working hours, area, and environment to protect sample collectors and testers in relation to the COVID-19 tests. Also, legal protection measures were insufficient in the event of accidental infections and there were no personnel regulations related to COVID-19. In addition, the professional training of sample collectors and molecular diagnostic testers was required for reliable COVID-19 testing. In conclusion, it is necessary to provide professional education through special test short-term training institutions to cope with emergency infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Legal systems should be put in place to protect the workforce and ensure stability.
