      • 연삭기용 자동 밸런싱 장치의 설계 및 평가

        The balance of high speed spindle system with high precision rotation like grinding machine is very important. Traditionally, we use trial and error method to balance the spindle. It takes much time. So we are developing the automatic balancing equipment being used in the grinding machine. The balancing head we develop is wireless. It will be used high-speed grinding machine. We use influence coefficient method to control the automatic balancer. Experiments are based on automatic and manual balancing. We perform test of the vibration filter. It helps to remove noise. The filter and experiments with automatic balancing controller show that automatic balancing control can be successfully achieved with the quick response and good stability characteristics.

      • 아산시 호소들의 오염실태조사 및 그 대책

        The object of this study is to survey water quality of reservoirsin in Asan city. We also suggest some countmeasures for environmental preservation toward sustainable urban development of Asan city. We analyze water qualities (pH, DO, COD, SS, T-P, T-N and Chlorophyll-a) of reservoirs. The level of water quality of small reservoirs is in the range of level Ⅳ-Ⅴ higher than the level Ⅲ established by the Ministry of Environment. Especially, water quality of Sinchang, Youngin and Shinchung reservoirs is worser than that of other reservoirs. Water quality of Asan and Sapkyo lake is the range of level Ⅳ-Ⅴ. As the levels of T-P and T-N are level Ⅳ and level Ⅴ, respectively, eutrophication might be progressed. Reservoirs in Asan city were already serious polluted by inflow of wastewater from residents, animal husbandries and industries. Recently, Metropolitan Area Development Planning(MADP) for Asan bay-area was suggested by the Ministry of Construction. According to this plan, industrialization and urbanization of Asan area will rapidly progress. If sewage and wastewater treatment facilitiesare not provided, water quality of reservoirs in Asan city will be worse. In order to prevent of environment pollution, first, the impact of industrialization and urbanization of Asan area on the environment should be considered at the beginning of MADP. Second, total effluent regulation of water pollution, air pollution and soil wastes, based on the self-purification of the Asan city environment, should be enforced.

        익상견갑에 대한 전거근 운동 : 증례 보고 1 Case Study

        Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the serratus anterior muscle exercise in a patient with winging of the scapular. Background and Purpose: The patient was a 33-year-old man with an 3 years history of the left deltoid region. He had not responded to previous treatments of rest, TENS and medicine. Materials and Methods: After Surgical operation of the shoulder, the patient was treated for 6 months in 144 visits. treatment consisted of push-up with plus in the standing position with his hands against the wall and unique push-up with quadruped position at mat. Also, Sling exercise therapy was utilized to control scapular stabilization and reduce stress on the scapulohumeral joint. Result: Following 104 physical therapy visits, the patient was able to full range of motion of the shoulder without shrug motion Conclusion and Discussion : Scapular winging and serratus anterior muscle function are important consider in the rehabilitation of the shoulder dysfunction. Therefore, specific exercise program for people with the winging scapular should be considered.

      • 저전력형 부탄가스 감지소자의 제조 및 그 특성

        Low power consuming butane gas sensors were fabricated using mica substrate which is a thin and elastic insulator. To increase the sensitivity and the stability, various catalyst layers were formed on SnO_(2) thin layer. Among them, SnO_(2) /Pt(17Å)/Pd(30Å) and SnO_(2) /Pt(8Å )/Pd(30Å) thin layer showed good characteristics in stability and dependance of temperature and humidity. The size of fabricated sensors was 1 x 3 mm^(2) and the consumed power was lower than 100 mW at operating temperature(250℃). For 2000 ppm butane concentration, the response time and the recovery time were about 5 seconds and 15 seconds respectively. The sensitivity of the sensors was about 80 % for 5000 ppm butane concentration.

      • 남강댐 유역에서의 HEC-HMS 모형의 적용성

        In order to find out the runoff characteristics in Nam River Dam basin, hydrological data such as rainfall, water level, and discharge, have been collected and measured. Using the collected and measured data for the study area during 1990-1999, hydrological parameters were estimated. The HEC-HMS(Hydrologic Modeling System) model was used to review the applicability of flood hydrographs and the results of simulation were compared to the observed data and Stroge Function Method for several flood hydrographs in this study. From the results of analysis, the following conclusions were obtained: First, the HEC-HMS model showed better results for the capabilities of regenerating flood hydrographs Second, the fluctuation shape of flood hydrographs for the rainfall distribution concentrated on head have been shown peak time to be relatively short for other rainfall distribution. Third, for forecasting and warning of flood occurrence in future, it is necessary that the existing hydrological data were made good and hydrological data were accumulated more. Also, using the HEC-HMS model to complement the Storage Function Method, it is possible that forecasting and warning flood occurrence is progressive in Nam River Dam.

      • 점화시기가 LPG 엔진의 배기특성에 미치는 영향

        As an automobile fuel, LPG has many environmental advantages compared to gasoline or diesel. However, current LPG engine which is provided with LPG fuel as gas form has lower power and worse fuel efficiency than gasoline engine. These problems of low power and bad fuel efficiency come from lower volumetric efficiency. Also there is a new rising problem of high failure ratio in an engine emission test. Although there are many factors which affect engine performance of exhaust gas emission, one believes that the fact that ECM of gasoline engine is used for LPG engine when retrofitting gasoline engine to LPG engine is one of the main problems, which lower engine power and emit more noxious gas due to wrong ignition timing. To solve these problems, one studied the effects ignition timing on the exhaust gas to find out the optimum condition of ignition timing. The experimental results show that noxious exhaust gas is reduced and engine power is increased if the optimum control of ignition timing is applied in accordance to the revolution speed of engine.

      • 호소 저질층의 총질소 및 총인 함량분석에 있어 Microwave와 Autoclave 분해법 비교

        In order to search an efficient analytical method for analyzing the contents of nutrient salts [total nitrogen(T-N) and total phosphorus(T-P)] in sediments of reservoir, we compared microwave digestion method with autoclave method in sample preparation. The content of T-N obtained by microwave digestion method was lower(approximately 30%) than that obtained by autoclave method. But the content of T-P obtained by microwave digestion method was twice as much as that obtained by autoclave method. The desorption efficiency of T-N and T-P in both methods were good. The reproducibility of measurement results in microwave digestion method was better than that in autoclave method. A considerable amount of both nutrient salts was adsorpted on the sediment of Song-ak reservoir. Depending on the depth of sediment, differences in the contents of T-N were significant. The content of T-N in surface layer was highest. From these results, we recommend the microwave digestion method in sample preparation for analysis of T-N and T-P, because that method shows a higher reproducibility and provides a condition in which both nutrient salts can be simultaneously analyzed. We also suggest that in order to control water quality of reservoir a proper control measurement for nutrient salts adsorpted on sediments was needed.

      • 성인형 T세포 백혈병 1례

        Adult T-cell leukemia(ATLL) is an endemic disease in southwestern Japan and the Caribbean, but occurs sporadically in most of the world. HTLV-1 is recognized as the etiologic agent of adult T-cell leukemia. ATLL is characterized by leukemia, lymphadenopathy tumor infiltration of the skin, hepatomegaly, hypercalcemia and lytic bone lesions. We report one case of ATLL, in Korea, which was confirmed by typical clinical findings and positive findings of HTLV-1. A 48 year old women, suffering from nausea and vomiting for 5 days, was admitted to hospital on June 1998. At admission, she had cervical lymphadenopathy. Her peripheral leukocytes count was 10.400/mm3 with 1-2% atypical lymphocytes containing pleomorphic and convoluted nucleus. In the bone marrow, a part of nucleated cells were leukemic cells. These abnormal cells had surface markers of helper T-cell(T4) and had positive finding of HTLV-1. Based on above mentioned findings, this case was diagnosed as ATLL. Despite of combined chemotherapy and intensive supportive care, she died of respiratory failure on 61 hospital days.
