      • 고추, 포도 및 사과에서 분리한 탄저병균(Colletotrichum gloeosporioides)의 특징과 병원학적 연구

        Three species of Colletotrichum Corda and Glomerella cingulata(Stonem). Spauld. & v.Schr. known to cause ripe fruit rots of apple, peach and pepper in Korea are compared with respect to culture characteristics, morphology, temperature reactions and pathogenicity determined by field collection and artificial inoculation. The following 4 species and 3 strains of anthracnose fungi reconized : C. coccodes (Wallr). Hughes, C. dematium (Pers. ex Fr.)Grove, C. gloeosporioides(Penz.) Sacc. G, chromogenic, and non-chromogenic strain and G. cingulata. The characteristic features of these organisms are discussed and on the evidence available it is found desirable to designate a new form of C. gloeosporioides or new species of Colletotrichum. It appears that the differences in virulence is not only among the different species of Colletotrichum and G. cingulata but also between isolates of the same species. C. dematium, G. gloeosporioides and G. cingulata are detected in seed samples of red pepper (Capsicum annuum) and C. gloeosporioides are the predominant species in seeds of red pepper which are naturally infected with anthracnose in field conditions. Plating of seed components showed that three species of anthracnose fungi are detected from seed coat, endosperm and plumule bud. C. dematium, C. gloeosporioides and G. cingulata caused seed rot, damping-off and seedling blight. In the effect of some fungicides to C. dematium and C. gloeosporioides on red pepper, Difolatan was the most effective to the fruit rot followed by Orthocide and Phaltan.

        삼출성 늑막액에서 양악성 감별지표로서 CEA, TPA, SCC Ag 측정의 의의

        상피 세포에서 기원한 대표적인 종양표지자인 carcinoembryonic antigen (이하 CEA로 약함)은 삼출성 늑막액 환자의 양악성 감별에 보고적으로 사용되고 있다. CEA 이외에 혈청에서 양악성감별의 보조적 지표로 알려진 tissue polypeptide antigen (이하 TPA로 약함)과 squamous cell carcinoma antigen (이하 SCC Ag으로 약함)을 혈청과 늑막에서 동시 측정하여 늑막삼출액의 악성 감별에 어느 정도의 임상적인 유용성이 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 이 연구를 시행하였다. 1997년 1월 1일부터 동년 8월 31일까지 계명대학교 동산의료원에 입원한 환자들 중 삼출성늑막액을 가진 61명을 대상으로 하여 혈청과 늑막액에서 CEA, TPA, SCC Ag의 수치를 방사면역법으로 측정하였다. 각각의 조양표지자들은 악성과 양성군으로 구분한 뒤 분석하였으며 악성군이 28례, 양성군이 33례이었다. 그리고 진단양성기준치를 설정한 뒤 종양표지자들의 특이도, 민감도를 산출하였고 상기 지표들을 종양표지자와 늑막액 세포검사르 조합한 경우에도 산출하여 비교 분석하였다. 혈청 CEA 와 TPA는 각각 7.0 ng/ml, 80.0 ng/ml, 늑막액 CEA와 TPA는 각각 50. ng/ml, 4700.0 ng/ml로 진단양성기준치를 설정하였을 때 특이도를 낮추지 않으면서 가장 높은 민감도를 보였다. 늑막액 세포검사와 동시에 혈청 TPA 도는 늑막액 CEA를 측정하였을 때 특이도는 떨어뜨리지 않으면서 민감도를 높이는 좋은 조합인 것으로 나타났으며 혈청 CEA 및 TPA수치를 늑막액 세포검사와 도시에 시행하였을 때 특이도를 떨어뜨리지 않으면서 가장 높은 민감도를 얻었다. 늑막액 세포검사가 음성인 경우에도 혈청 CEA와 TPA를 동시에 측정하여 높은 민감도와 특이도를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 CEA와 TPA는 늑막삼출액의 양악성 감별 진단 유용한 보조적 지표로서 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), the most widely used tumor marker was measured in pleural fluid of patients with exudative pleural effusions in order to differentiate malignant from benign effusions. This study was performed to find out if there is any clinical utility in differential diagnosis of malignancy by measuring simultaneously CEA, tissue polypeptide antigen(TPA) and squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC Ag) in serum and pleural fluid. The study population was 61 patients with exudative pleural effusions who were admitted to Keimyung University Hospital from January 1 to August 31, 1997. Each CEA, TPA and SCC Ag level in serum and pleural fluid were measured using radioimmunoassay method. These patients were divided to malignant and benign group. Malignant group consists of 28 cases and benign group consists of 33 cases. And the sensitivity and specificity of each tumor marker was obtained using cut-off value and that combining tumor markers and pleural fluid cytology were also obtained and analyzed. When the cut-off value was applied to CEA and TPA in serum using 7.0 ng/ml and 80.0 ng/ml respectively, the highest sensitivity was obtained without specificity being lowered. The same result was obtained when the cut-off value was applied to CEA and TPA in pleural fluid using 5.0 ng/ml and 4700.0 ng/ml respectively. When CEA in pleural fluid or TPA in serum were measured in combining with pleural fluid cytology sensitivity was increased without decreasing specificity than measured in pleural fluid cytology alone. When CEA in serum and TPA in serum were measured in combining with pleural fluid cytology simultaneously, the highest sensitivity was produced without decreasing specificity than measured in any other combinations. In addition, when serum CEA and TPA in serum were measured in the negative group of pleural fluid cytology, high sensitivity and specificity were obtained. These data suggest that CEA and TPA can be used as useful tumor markers for the differential diagnosis of malignancy and benign condition in patients with exudative pleural effusions.

        제주도 연안 정치망의 조업시스템 생력화와 실용화를 목적으로 어군의 도피를 최대한 방지하고 양망작업이 용이하도록 개량 설계된 낙망어구를 제주도 북제주군 한경면 금등정치망 어장에 부설하고 실용화 및 조업시스템 생력화에 대하여 현장실험을 실시하였는데 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 낙망어구규모에 적합한 조업선을 기계화하여 1척의 어선으로 조업이 가능하였다. 2. 조업어선 선수미부 양망현에 양망기인 캡스턴을 설치하므로 조업인원 2∼3명으로도 양망작업이 가능하였다. 3. 망갈이 작업시 양망한 그물을 선상에서 적재하고 육상에서 양륙할 때 파워블록을 사용함으로써 작업효율을 높일 수 있었다. In order to obtain the fundamental data for the man power saving and the practical use of fishing system for a set net in the coast of Jeju island, a pound net designed for making hauling operation easier and preventing a school of fish from escaping was set up at a fishing ground in Geumdeung and a field experiment was carried out. The fishing operation was feasible with one boat mechanized for the pound net and the hauling operation was not made possible with 2-3 persons till a net haular, that is, a capstan was set up on the hauling side of the boat. In addition, a power block enhanced the efficiency of operation for hauling up the net on board or hauling down on land.

        우즈베키스탄 Maidanak 천문대 Fairchild 486 CCD의 기본적인 특성

        Understanding of the basic characteristics of an astronomical instrument is a prerequisite to obtaining reliable data from the instrument. We have analyzed more than 1,000 calibration images from the Fairchild 486 CCD (hereafter the Maidanak 4k CCD system) attached to the AZT-22 1.5m telescope at Maidanak Astronomical Observatory in Uzbekistan. The Maidanak 4k CCD system supports three readout modes through 1, 2, or 4 amplifiers. In most cases observers use 4-amplifier readout mode to save time. We have tested the stability and seasonal variation of zero levels and confirm that two quadrants of the images (Amp 1 & 2) show no appreciable seasonal variation. but the other two quadrants (Amp 3 & Amp 4) show an evident seasonal variation in the bias level. The Cryo Tiger, the cooling system used at the Maidanak 4k CCD system, maintains the CCD temperature at -108'E, and effectively suppresses the dark electrons. The mean value versus the variance plot of the flat images does not show the expected relation for an ideal Poisson noise distribution and this is attributed to the large variation in quantum efficiency between different pixels. In addition, we confirm that there is no appreciable difference in gain between readout amplifiers, but there is a large variation in quantum efficiency across CCD chip especially in U. Due to the finite length of shutter opening and closing time, the effective exposure time varies across the science images. We introduce two parameters to quantify the effect of this uneven illumination and present a method to remove these effects. We also present a method to remove the interference patterns appearing in the images obtained with longer wavelength filters and investigate the spatial variation of the point spread function.

        직접분사식 디젤기관의 연소 및 배기에 관한 연구

        Recently the direct injection diesel engine is the most efficient one available for road vehicles, so this fundamental advantage suggests the compression injection diesel engine are a wise choice for future development efforts. The compression ignition diesel engine, with its bigger compression ratios if compared to the SI engine, offers a higher thermodynamic efficiency, also additionally the diesel engine with its less pumping losses due to the throttled intake charge as in a SI engine has higher fuel economy. But the largest obstacle to the success of this engine is meeting emission standards for Nitric oxides and particulate matter while maintain fuel consumption advantage over currently available engines. Thus its use should be largely promoted, however, diesel engine emits more Nitric oxides and particulate matter than other competing one. There has been a trade-off between PM and NOx, so efforts to reduce NOx have increased PM and vice versa, but trap change this situation and better possibility emerge for treating NOx emission with engine related means, such as injection timing, equivalence ratio, charge composition, and engine speed. The common rail direct injection system is able to adjust the fuel injection timing in a compression ignition engine, so this electronically controlled injection system can reduce the formation of NOx gas without increase in soot. In this study it is designed and used the engine test bed which is installed with turbocharge and intercooler. In addition to equipped using CRDI by controlling injection timing with mapping modulator, it has been tested and analyzed the engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emission as operating parameters.

        SEJONG OPEN CLUSTER SURVEY. I. NGC 2353

        UBV I CCD photometry of NGC 2353 is performed as a part of the "Sejong Open cluster Survey" (SOS). Using photometric membership criteria we select probable members of the cluster. We derive the reddening and distance to the cluster, i.e., E(B - V ) = 0.10 ${\pm}$ 0.02 mag and 1.17 ${\pm}$ 0.04 kpc, respectively. We find that the projected distribution of the probable members on the sky is elliptical in shape rather than circular. The age of the cluster is estimated to be log(age)=8.1 ${\pm}$ 0.1 in years, older than what was found in previous studies. The minimum value of binary fraction is estimated to be about 48 ${\pm}$ 5 percent from a Gaussian function fit to the distribution of the distance moduli of the photometric members. Finally, we also obtain the luminosity function and the initial mass function (IMF) of the probable cluster members. The slope of the IMF is ${\Gamma}=-1.3{\pm}0.2$.

        게이미피케이션을 적용한 건강 증진 서비스 디자인

        Medical services, converged with information technology, are going beyond simple health diagnosis to embrace health improvement. Applications installed in various personal devices such as mobile phones are quantifying and accumulating abundant data, ushering in the age of personalized medical service. Motivation for such IT-based unconstrained health enhancement service, however, has long been a challenge for both service providers and users. As such, the present study suggests gamification of health promotion service as one of solutions to the problem, and analyzes the principle and elements of gamification to derive effective results. In addition, it examines seven strategies from exercise studies that adopted game aesthetics and gamification, or components of the Mechanics-Dynamics-Aesthetics (MDA) framework, and applies them to user interface and avatar design.
