Recently the direct injection diesel engine is the most efficient one available for road vehicles, so this fundamental advantage suggests the compression injection diesel engine are a wise choice for future development efforts. The compression ignition diesel engine, with its bigger compression ratios if compared to the SI engine, offers a higher thermodynamic efficiency, also additionally the diesel engine with its less pumping losses due to the throttled intake charge as in a SI engine has higher fuel economy. But the largest obstacle to the success of this engine is meeting emission standards for Nitric oxides and particulate matter while maintain fuel consumption advantage over currently available engines. Thus its use should be largely promoted, however, diesel engine emits more Nitric oxides and particulate matter than other competing one. There has been a trade-off between PM and NOx, so efforts to reduce NOx have increased PM and vice versa, but trap change this situation and better possibility emerge for treating NOx emission with engine related means, such as injection timing, equivalence ratio, charge composition, and engine speed. The common rail direct injection system is able to adjust the fuel injection timing in a compression ignition engine, so this electronically controlled injection system can reduce the formation of NOx gas without increase in soot. In this study it is designed and used the engine test bed which is installed with turbocharge and intercooler. In addition to equipped using CRDI by controlling injection timing with mapping modulator, it has been tested and analyzed the engine performance, combustion characteristics, and exhaust emission as operating parameters.

Medical services, converged with information technology, are going beyond simple health diagnosis to embrace health improvement. Applications installed in various personal devices such as mobile phones are quantifying and accumulating abundant data, ushering in the age of personalized medical service. Motivation for such IT-based unconstrained health enhancement service, however, has long been a challenge for both service providers and users. As such, the present study suggests gamification of health promotion service as one of solutions to the problem, and analyzes the principle and elements of gamification to derive effective results. In addition, it examines seven strategies from exercise studies that adopted game aesthetics and gamification, or components of the Mechanics-Dynamics-Aesthetics (MDA) framework, and applies them to user interface and avatar design.

This paper aims at developing multimedia English educational contents which can motivate learners to study English and improve their English abilities by applying the hippocampus learning system to the e-Learning system suggested as means of solving the social problem caused by the gap of English abilities among the people. To develop learning contents, this study tried to find an learning method suitable to adolescents, the main target of this research, by examining their peculiar life styles and values, and searched for various elements which can contribute to the improvement of their English learning. Especially, this study focused on factors contributing to formation of long-term memory, and designed components of multimedia which can help learning contents to be stored as long-term memory. The unity game engine was used to implement the designed components. This study also describes optimization procedure for mobile device, sensor-based character control method, interaction methods, speech synthesis-based voice output, and communication with virtual characters using voice recognition as well. Finally, it predicts learning effects through implemented contents, and suggests limits of the implemented contents, and future directions of the English educational contents for the present young generation.
