SOFT SOMEWHERE DENSE SETS ON SOFT TOPOLOGICAL SPACES

        Al-shami, Tareq M. Korean Mathematical Society 2018 대한수학회논문집 Vol.33 No.4

The author devotes this paper to defining a new class of generalized soft open sets, namely soft somewhere dense sets and to investigating its main features. With the help of examples, we illustrate the relationships between soft somewhere dense sets and some celebrated generalizations of soft open sets, and point out that the soft somewhere dense subsets of a soft hyperconnected space coincide with the non-null soft ${\beta}$-open sets. Also, we give an equivalent condition for the soft csdense sets and verify that every soft set is soft somewhere dense or soft cs-dense. We show that a collection of all soft somewhere dense subsets of a strongly soft hyperconnected space forms a soft filter on the universe set, and this collection with a non-null soft set form a soft topology on the universe set as well. Moreover, we derive some important results such as the property of being a soft somewhere dense set is a soft topological property and the finite product of soft somewhere dense sets is soft somewhere dense. In the end, we point out that the number of soft somewhere dense subsets of infinite soft topological space is infinite, and we present some results which associate soft somewhere dense sets with some soft topological concepts such as soft compact spaces and soft subspaces.

Corrigendum to "On Soft Topological Space via Semi-open and Semi-closed Soft Sets, Kyungpook Mathematical Journal, 54(2014), 221-236"

Al-shami, Tareq Mohammed Department of Mathematics 2018 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.58 No.3

In this manuscript, we show that the equality relations of the two assertions (ix) and (x) of [Theorem 2.11, p.p.224] in [3] do not hold in general, by giving a concrete example. Also, we illustrate that Example 6.3, Example 6.7, Example 6.11, Example 6.15 and Example 6.20 do not satisfy a soft semi $T_0$-space, a soft semi $T_1$-space, a soft semi $T_2$-space, a soft semi $T_3$-space and a soft semi $T_4$-space, respectively. Moreover, we point out that the three results obtained in [3] which related to soft subspaces are false, by presenting two examples. Finally, we construct an example to illuminate that Theorem 6.18 and Remark 6.21 made in [3] are not valid in general.

Traumatic Frontal Sinus Fractures Management: Experience from HighTrauma Centre

        Hieder Al-Shami,Ahmad K. Alnemare,Turki Bin Mahfoz,Ahmed M. Salah 대한신경손상학회 2021 Korean Journal of Neurotrauma Vol.17 No.1

Objective: Analysis of our traumatic brain injury data, reviewing current literatures and assessing planning valuable decision making in frontal sinus fracture for young neurosurgeons. Methods: Hospital data base for head trauma was retrieved afer board permission for retrospective analysis of cases admitted from 2010–2020. Patients with frontal sinus fractures and head trauma were identifed according to a flow chart. Variables of the study included patients' demographics, mechanism of injury, incidence of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage, types of associated injuries, imaging fndings and operative techniques. Results: Three-hundred eighty two patients were eligible to be screened in our study and represented the sample size under investigations in the following sections, 206 (53.9%) of patients were treated conservatively while 176 patients (46.1%) were identifed as having an indication for surgical intervention. Eighty-four percent of patients were males. The mean age was 36.2±9.4 years (14–86 years). Depressed skull fracture was commonly associated injury (17.61%). Leakage of CSF was found in 32.95% of patients. Conclusion: Frontal sinus fracture is not an easy scenario. It harbors many proportions and deliver many varieties in which, deep understanding of anatomy, naso-frontal outflow tract status, CSF leakage and neurological injury are of important points in decision. Our institutional algorithm provide rapid, accessible and applicable treatment protocol for resident and young neurosurgeons which minimizes consultations of other specialties.

Seven generalized types of soft semi-compact spaces

Vol.27 No.3

The soft compactness notion via soft topological spaces was first studied in [10,29]. In this work, soft semi-open sets are utilized to initiate seven new kinds of generalized soft semi-compactness, namely soft semi-Lindel\"{o}fness, almost (approximately, mildly) soft semi-compactness and almost (approximately, mildly) soft semi- Lindel\"{o}fness. The relationships among them are shown with the help of illustrative examples and the equivalent conditions of each one of them are investigated. Also, the behavior of these spaces under soft semi-irresolute maps are investigated. Furthermore, the enough conditions for the equivalence among the four sorts of soft semi-compact spaces and for the equivalence among the four sorts of soft semi-Lindel\"{o}f spaces are explored. The relationships between enriched soft topological spaces and the initiated spaces are discussed in different cases. Finally, some properties which connect some of these spaces with some soft topological notions such as soft semi-connectedness, soft semi $T_2$-spaces and soft subspaces are obtained.

Temporal distribution of larval Chironomidae (Diptera) in experimental rice fields in Penang, Malaysia

        S.A. Al-Shami,Md Rawi Che Salmah,Ahmad Abu Hassan,Mohd Nor Siti Azizah 한국응용곤충학회 2010 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.13 No.1

The distribution and abundance of chironomid larvae were investigated in experimental rice fields at the Bukit Merah Agricultural Experimental Research Station, Penang, Northern Malaysia. The mean density of chironomid larvae during the period of the study (including two cultivation seasons) was 121 larvae m−2. Chironomus kiiensis (48.6%) was the most abundant species, while four other species, Polypedilum trigonus (4.8%), Tanytarsus formosanus (22.6%), Tanypus punctipennis (13.9%), and Clinotanypus sp. (10.1%) occurred less frequently, although they were present during all wet phases of rice cultivation. Generally, water depth, rice plant height, conductivity, and nitrate–nitrogen content of the water only weakly influenced the abundance of the larvae. Other environmental parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen, daytime water temperature, total suspended solids, phosphate, and sediment total organic matter did not significantly affect larval populations. The community structure of chironomids in this rice agroecosystem followed the dynamic changes of the field including agronomic practices, patterns of water availability, and phases of rice plant growth.

nth Power Root Fuzzy Sets and Its Topology

        Tareq M. Al-shami,ariwan Z. Ibrahim,Abdelwaheb Mhemdi,Radwan Abu-Gdairi 한국지능시스템학회 2022 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.22 No.4

One of the most useful expansions of fuzzy sets for coping with information uncertaintiesis the q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets. In such circumstances, in this article, we define a novelextension of fuzzy sets called nth power root fuzzy set (briefly, nPR-fuzzy set) and elucidatetheir relationship with intuitionistic fuzzy sets, SR-fuzzy sets, CR-fuzzy sets and q-rungorthopair fuzzy sets. Then, we provide the necessary set of operations for nPR-fuzzy sets aswell as study their various features. Furthermore, we familiarize the concept of nPR-fuzzytopology and investigate the basic aspects of this topology. In addition, we define separatednPR-fuzzy sets and then present the concept of disconnected nPR-fuzzy sets. Moreover, westudy and characterize nPR-fuzzy continuous maps in great depth. Finally, we establish T0and T1 in nPR-fuzzy topologies and discover the links between them.

Corrigendum to "Separation axioms on soft topological spaces, Annals of Fuzzy Mathematics and Informatics, 11 (4) (2016) 511- 525"

2018 ANNALS OF FUZZY MATHEMATICS AND INFORMATICS Vol.15 No.3

In [7], the authors reported that a soft $T_i$-space need not be a soft $T_{i-1}$-space, for $i=3, 4, 5$ [Line 4 and 5 in abstract] and [Theorem 3.21], and the soft $T_i$-spaces in the sense of [3] and soft $T_i$-spaces in their work are equivalent, for $i=0, 1, 2, 3$ [Line 7 and 8 in abstract] and [Line 12 and 13, p.p. 522]. In this note, we correct the errors in these assertions by proving that every soft $T_3$-space is a soft $T_{2}$-space and presenting two counterexamples to show that a soft $T_i$-space in the sense of [3] is not equivalent to a soft $T_{i}$-space in the sense of [7], for $i=2, 3$.

On soft compact and soft Lindel\"{o}f spaces via soft pre-open sets

        T. M. Al-shami,M. 2019 ANNALS OF FUZZY MATHEMATICS AND INFORMATICS Vol.17 No.1

In this study, the authors employ soft pre-open sets to define and discuss eight sorts of generalized soft compact spaces, namely soft pre-compact, soft pre-Lindel\"{o}f, almost (approximately, mildly) soft pre-compact and almost (approximately, mildly) soft pre-Lindel\"{o}f spaces. Then they characterize each one of these spaces and show the relationships among them with the help of examples. Also, they investigate the image of these spaces under soft pre-irresolute mappings. Furthermore, they present a soft pre-partition notion and point out this notion is sufficient for the equivalent among the four types of soft pre-compact spaces and for the equivalent among the four types of soft pre-Lindel\"{o}f spaces. They demonstrate the relationships between enriched soft topological spaces and the initiated spaces in different cases and obtain interesting results. Finally, they derive some findings which connect between some generalized soft compact spaces introduced in this work and some soft topological notions such as soft pre-connected spaces, soft pre-$T_2$-spaces and soft subspaces.

The effect of microfinance on women’s empowerment : Evidence from Malaysia

2016 Asian Journal of Women's Studies(AJWS) Vol.22 No.3

Microfinance is widely known as a financial development tool for those deprived of access to financial services, especially women. However, the literature provides conflicting evidence and shows that women’s empowerment may not, or may only be partially achieved through microcredit, especially in Muslim societies. This study seeks to scrutinize the effect of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), a microcredit institution, on Malay Muslim women in an urban area. A quasi-experimental method was used to conduct a cross sectional survey of 500 old and new clients. Informal semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 current clients who had received microcredit two years earlier. The findings show that AIM microcredit empowered the women and enhanced gender equality. It enabled women to access financial capital, form their micro- and smallbusinesses and obtain an income which helped them to contribute to household expenditure. Even though the effect of microcredit was partial, it provided them bargaining power for decision-making and controlling of resources and enhanced their self-esteem in their households and communities.

Excitation and Formation Conditions of Monotonic Shock Waves in Magnetized Plasmas with Superthermality Distributed Electrons

        E. F. El-Shamy,M. Mahmoud,E. S. Al-Wadie,A. Al-Mogeeth,E. K. El-Shewy 한국물리학회 2019 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.75 No.1

Nonlinear excitation and the properties of ion-acoustic shock waves (IASWs) in a magnetoplasma model composed of viscous ions with two-temperature superthermality distributed electrons are studied by employing the well-known reductive perturbation analysis to obtain a nonlinear Zakharov-Kuznetsov-Burgers equation (ZKBE), which admits the excitation of nonlinear IASWs in superthermal plasmas. Applying the tanh method, we discuss the solutions of the ZKBE. The asymptotic behavior and the stability of the analytical shock wave solution are studied. In general, nonlinear ion-acoustic disturbances are found analytically to exhibit only monotonic shock structures in the proposed model. For different situations, the effects of the dispersion and the dissipation coefficients on the profiles of the shock structures are discussed. The findings here demonstrate that the effective features of nonlinear IASWs depend strongly on the dispersion and the dissipation coefficients, which include physical parameters such as the superthermality of cold electrons, the cold superthermal electron-to-ion number density ratio, the ion kinematic viscosity and the ion cyclotron frequency. The current work may be helpful for an advanced comprehension of the physical nature of shock waves in astrophysical plasma situations.
