        중·노년기 남성의 신체조성과 골밀도 비교 및 상관관계 분석

        This research compared and analyzed the change and difference of bone density by body parts in middle- and advanced-aged males. Subjects were divided into two groups: middle-aged group consisting of 25 subjects and advancedaged group consisting of 25 subjects. Body composition and bone density of both groups were measured. As a result of independent sample test of body composition by group, the advanced-group showed higher figures compared to the middle-aged group in Fat, %Fat, Android, Gynoid and A/G ratio but there was no statistically significant difference. However, the advanced-aged group showed statistically significant lower figures in Lean(p<.05) and Fat Free(p<.01). As a result of independent sample test of bone density and bone mineral mass by group, the advanced-group showed lower figures compared to the middle-aged group in Lumbar total and Whole body BMD&BMC but there was no statistically significant difference. On the other hand, it showed statistically significant lower figures in Femur total(p<.05). As a result of analysis on correlation between male bone density and body composition depending on aging in middle- and advanced-age, there were statistically significant positive correlation in the femoral region and fat-free mass(r=.497, p<.01) and statistically significant negative correlation in Gynoid(r=.400, p<.01). There were statistically significant negative correlation between whole body bone density and Gynoid(r=.416, p<.01)

        침수식 초음파 검사와 부분결합간섭 검사를 이용한 공식의 정확성 비교

        목적: 침수성 초음파 장치와 수동 각막곡률계를 이용한 인공수정체 계산공식과 IOL MasterⓇ를 이용한 계산공식의 예측오차를 비교하여 안축장과 전방 깊이, 각막곡률에 따른 침수성 초음파 검사와 수동각막곡률계를 이용한 인공수정체 검사의 정확성에 대해 보고하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 단일 술자에 의해 백내장수술을 받은 환자 65명 82안의 의무기록을 후향적으로 검토하였다. 생체계측은 IOL MasterⓇ, 수동각막곡률계, 침수식 방식의 초음파 검사를 순서대로 시행하여 측정하였다. 초음파 방식과 수동각막곡률계로 구한 생체계측 값을 SRK-T, Holladay 1 공식에 대입하였고 IOL MasterⓇ를 이용한 생체계측 값을 장비에 내장되어 있는 SRK-T, Holladay 2 공식에 대입하여 백내장 수술 후 굴절력을 예측하였다. 백내장 수술 후 7주 이상 지난 시점에 현성 굴절 검사를 시행하여 최종 굴절력을 구하였고, 각 공식들의 예측치와 이를 비교하였다. 결과: 평균 안축장과 평균 각막곡률값은 계측기기 간에 의미 있는 차이를 보였다. 그러나 평균절대오차는 두 계측방식 간에, 그리고 공식들 간에 안축장과 전방 깊이, 각막곡률에 따라서 의미 있는 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 그러나 안축장과 전방 깊이, 각막곡률에 따라서 예측오차가 ±0.5디옵터 이내에 속하는 백분율은 4가지 공식들 간에 차이를 보였다. 결론: 침수식 초음파와 수동 각막곡률계를 이용한 생체계측 방식은 IOL MasterⓇ 방식과 비교하여 그 정확성이 떨어지지 않는 것으로 보인다. 그러나 더 정확한 인공수정체의 선택을 위해서는 안축장, 전방 깊이, 각막곡률에 따라서 더 적절한 인공수정체 공식을 선택하는 것이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. <대한안과학회지 2016;57(6):905-916> Purpose: To report the accuracy of intraocular lens (IOL) formulas according to axial length, anterior chamber depth, and mean corneal curvature when performing biometry with an immersion type A-scan with mannual keratomery and an IOL Master??. Methods: Retrospective medical chart reviews were carried out for 82 eyes of 65 patients who underwent cataract surgery performed by a single surgeon. Biometry was performed using IOL Master??, mannual keratometry, and immersion type A-scan ultrasound in sequence. Prediction diopter was obtained using Sanders-Retzlaff-Kraff/Theoretical (SRK-T) and Holladay 1 formulas calculated with the biometric value measured by mannual keratomery and A-scan, and using SRK-T and, Holladay 2 formulas with IOL Master??. The final refractive outcome was determined as manifested refraction at least 7 weeks after the surgery, and it was compared with the preoperative prediction dipoter (D) of the IOL formulas. Results: Mean axial length and mean keratomtric measurements as determined by A-scan with mannual keratomery showed significant statistical differences from those of IOL Master??. However, there was no difference in postoperative mean absolute error between biometric measurements, or among formulas according to axial length, anterior chamber depth, or mean corneal curvature. However, the percentage of actual refraction within ±0.50 D of the intended refraction was dirrerent among the four formalas according to axial length, anterior chamber dept, mean corneal curvature. Conclusions: Biometry measurement using the immersion-type A-scan with mannual keratomery is as accurate as that using IOL Master?? for predicting the postoperative refractive state of cataract surgery. However, it is suggested that the best IOL formula be chosen according to axial length, anterior chamber depth, and mean corneal curvature. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2016;57(6):905-916

        Paint peeling was found on the pedestrian road in Gongjicheon Stream. The peeled paint was introduced into the water system in the form of microplastics, which was discussed as an environmental problem in the local community. The introduced microplastics are a mixture of chemicals that can cause water and ecological health degradation and spread along the Bukhangang River water system to the Hangang River basin. In general, microplastics refer to plastics of 5 mm or less, but in this study, microplastics in the soil were analyzed, and a total of 5 research points were designated based on the size of 2 mm or less to be quantified and qualitatively analyzed. As a result of quantitative analysis, the particle size of microplastics observed in the soil was 0.000173 mm to 2 mm and 70 near Uiamho Lake in Chuncheon MBC, 13,128 in Gongjicheon Seoksa Bridge, 17,700 between Gongjicheon Toegye Bridge and Namchuncheon Bridge, 8 in Gongjicheon Recreation Area, and 205 at Gongjicheon Gongji Bridge were detected. As a result of the analysis, at least 1.1×10<SUP>9</SUP> microplastics were calculated based on a maximum particle diameter of 2 mm and a maximum of 1.1×10<SUP>17</SUP> microplastics were calculated based on a minimum particle diameter of 0.000173 mm. As a result of qualitative analysis, the same IR value was confirmed at all wave numbers except for 1550 /cm to 1200 /cm and 700 /cm. Through IR spectral analysis, matching of OH, NH, NH amide or Aldehydes and Ketones or Ester, NH amines, C=C trans, H-C=C, C=C cis or C-Cl functional group components were confirmed. Qualitative and quantitative analyzes were able to demonstrate the release of microplastics into the surrounding soil.

        Quantitative Measurement of Ink-Blanket Adhesion for Contact Transfer Printing Inks

        In contact transfer printing, perfect ink transfer is determined by the difference of the surface energies between before and after a transfer step. To characterize the difference, one may record the adhesion force by separating the ink film from a substrate by an external force. Ink-blanket adhesion is one of the key properties to determine the printability because it affects all steps of the contact transfer printing. Only a certain range of ink-blanket adhesion properties can get a perfect transfer. Using a lab-made high-precision force measuring device, we developed a method to measure the adhesion force during detaching an ink film from a blanket. Ink-blanket adhesion can be evaluated quantitatively either as adhesion strength or adhesion energy from the measured adhesion force. Using the proposed method, we assessed the adhesion properties of commercial Ag nanoparticle ink varying the film thickness and the solid contents.

        The Efficacy and Safety of Periocular Acupoint Stimulation on Myopia Progression in Children: A Study Protocol

        Objectives Myopia has a higher prevalence rate in eastern countries, which also have a higher rate of educational fever compared to western countries. Considering this, social costs paid for myopia will increase rapidly in Korea. Although the development of myopia treatment is necessary, there has been a lack of relevant studies. Thus, this study aims to produce data to prevent unnecessary treatments and medical expenses. Methods The objective is to evaluate the effect of periocular acupressure exerted by a medical massager for myopia. This is an open-label, prospective, single-arm, and pre and post superiority study. The subjects are 7~12-year-old myopia patients with under 5 D (diopter) of spherical equivalent. A total of 56 subjects were enrolled. The selected subjects will wear the massager for 15 minutes twice a day for 24 weeks. The primary endpoint is the refraction change. The secondary endpoint is the axial length change. Statistical analysis was performed at a significant level of 0.05, using a two-tailed test. The criterion for significantly improved refraction was $-0.17{\pm}0.50$ D/6 months and that of axial length change was 0.126 mm. Results and Conclusions This study did not include a control group because children represent a vulnerable group. This objective study will bring some impact on Korean medical myopia treatment. A long-term confirmatory clinical study may be necessary in future.

        A Study on Features of Forage Barnyard Millet and Related Research Trends

        Barnyard millet is a short-lived tropical, short-term C4 plant and has superior vitality in humid conditions owing to its freshwater habitat. It shows strong adaptability to soils with poor drainage and low fertility, and efficiently competes with rice in paddy fields. Barnyard millet grain is used as feed in the Indian region and is a great source of dietary fiber, proteins, fats, vitamins, and some essential amino acids. Considering its high nutritional value and its potential as a food resource and fodder crop, various countries are showing interest in cultivating barnyard millet. However, in Korea, farm households have not yet recognized the benefits of cultivating barnyard millet, and research regarding this is scarce. In this review, the features of forage barnyard millet and its related research trends are discussed, with the aim of improving interest in this crop and promoting its cultivation.

        여중생 골밀도 분류에 따른 신체조성의 변화 비교 분석

        The bone mineral densitometry of adolescents may provide important information in early diagnosis of metabolic bone diseases and judgment of efficacy of treatment. To do so, the amount of bone mineral of children who show normal development and the normal range of bone density should be understood. This study compared and analyzed the differences of body compositions of middle school girls who are in their adolescence by level of bone density. The study classified bone mineral density by 20 subjects with score not less than 0, 20 subjects for -1~0, and 20 subjects for not more than -1 based on Z-score of healthy adolescents and investigated the differences among these groups. As a result, as the bone density was more than what expected for the age, body mass index, amount of muscle, and fat-free mass were significantly high. There were differences in body fat percentage and fat-free mass, but the differences were not significant. This result indicates that the fat-free mass and amount of muscle are parts of important body compositions which can obtain the maximum bone mass in younger years.

        Objective: The aim of this study was to verify the correction effect of Forward Head Posture (FHP) by using Moving Monitor in a high-risk group of the neck. Background: Office workers who have been used VDTs are subject to high loads on the neck and shoulders during their work due to the high frequency of FHP. Thus, our research team developed a Moving Monitor Arm that continuously induced calibration movements when the users use the monitor. Method: Seven participants who rated as a high-risk group of the neck to study the effect of FHP correction using the Moving Monitor. The fatigue and posture of the neck were quantified using Flexion Relaxation Ratio (FRR), Onset Angle, Offset Angle, Craniovertbral Angle (CVA) and Subjective Discomfort Rating in this study. Results: The effects of task pre/post on the FRR and subjective discomfort, and the effect of monitor type on the Onset/Offset angles was significant in this study, respectively. Conclusion: Based on the results of the experiment, correction effect of Moving Monitor was verified. Application: The results of this study showed that moving monitors can be applied to prevent musculoskeletal disorders associated with VDTs.
