The present experiment investigates the effects of pore density f of aluminum foam heat sinks, the jet-to-jet spacing X and the nozzle plate-to-target surface spacing H of 3$\times$3 square impinging arrays on the averaged Nusselt number. The performance of the aluminum foam heat sinks and the rectangular plate heat sink is evaluated in terms of the enhancement factor. /equation omitted/. The multiple impinging jet with X/d=4.0 displays higher Nusselt numbers than single impinging jet for 12.0$\leq$H/d$\leq$20.0. With the variation of the jet-to-jet spacing, the aluminum foam heat sink of 10 PPI show higher Nusselt numbers than the 20 and 40 PPI aluminum foam heat sinks. Further, the 10 PPI aluminum foam heat sink demonstrates 26% higher enhancement factor than the rectangular plate heat sink in the range of 7000$\leq$Re$\leq$11000.
UV-Visible 흡수분광학법을 이용한 염산매질내 Pu 산화상태 측정

염산매질에서 산화/환원제를 사용하여 Pu 산화수를 조절한 후, UV-Visible-Near IR 분광기를 이용하여 Pu(III, IV, V, VI) 산화수에 대한 흡수스펙트럼을 측정하여 그 분광학적 특성을 고찰하였다. Pu(III)으로 조절하기 위하여 환원제인 $NH_2OH$ HCl를 사용하였으며, Pu(IV)와 Pu(VI)로 조절하기 위하여 산화제인 $NaNO_2$ 및 $HClO_4$를 각각 사용하였다. 또한 Pu(VI)로 조절된 용액에 환원제인 $NH_2OH$ HCl를 사용하여 Pu(V)로 조절하였다. Pu(III)와 Pu(IV)의 대표적인 흡수피크는 470 nm 및 600 nm에서 각각 관찰되었고, Pu(VI)와 Pu(V)의 특성피크는 830 nm 및 1135nm에서 각각 관찰되었다. Pu(III, IV, VI) 산화상태의 시간 경과에 따른 흡수스펙트럼 변화는 관찰되지 않았으나 Pu(V)의 경우 매우 불안정하여 생성되자 마자 Pu(III)로 변화되었다. The spectroscopic characteristics of Pu (III, IV, V, VI) in the HCl media were investigated by measuring Pu oxidation states using a UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer (400-1200 nm) after adjusting Pu oxidation states with oxidation/reduction reagents. Pu in stock solution was reduced to Pu(III) with $NH_2OH$ HCl, and oxidized to Pu(IV) and Pu(VI) with $NaNO_2$ and $HClO_4$, respectively. Also, Pu(V) was adjusted in the Pu(VI) solution with $NH_2OH$ HCl. The major absorption peaks of Pu (IV) and Pu(III) were measured in the 470 m and 600 nm, respectively. The major absorption peaks of Pu (VI) and Pu(V) were measured in the 830 nm and 1135 nm, respectively. There was not found to be significant changes of UV-Vis absorption spectra for Pu(III), Pu(IV) and Pu(VI) with aging time, except that an unstable Pu(V) immediately reduced to Pu(III).
MEH - PPV 공액성 고분자 Langmuir - Blodgett 막의 제작에 관한 연구

In this study, MEH-PPV was synthesized and MEH-PPV and its mixtures with PMMA were deposited on substrates with Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) technique and their photoluminescent char acteristics were investigated using UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, and photoluminescence(PL) measurements. The surface morphology of the LB films of MEH-PPV and its mixture with PMMA were investigated using Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM). Electroluminescent devices using LB films were fabricated with Al and ITO as a top and bottom electrode, respectively, and their I-V characteristics were investigated.

멀티-코어 프로세서는 최근 마이크로프로세서 시장의 주류 제품으로 자리 잡았다. 이러한 멀티-코어 프로세서를 기반으로 하는 서버들은 고성능 컴퓨팅 분야와 상용 응용 프로그램 분야에서 그 사용 범위를 넓혀가고 있다. 멀티-코어 프로세서는 높아진 병렬성으로 인하여 응용 프로그램의 성능도 한 단계 더 높여줄 것으로 기대된다. 하지만, 칩 내부의 여러 코어들이 공유 자원들을 사용하면서 발생하는 경쟁과 충돌이 성능에 병목으로 작용하기도 한다. 그러므로 멀티-코어 서버 상에서 높은 성능과 확장성을 얻기 위해서는 공유 자원의 사용을 최적화 하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 코어들 간의 공유 자원 사용에서 발생하는 긍정적/부정적인 효과들이 실제 응용 프로그램의 성능에 어떻게 반영되는지 실험을 통하여 분석해 본다. 또한 이러한 분석을 통하여 멀티-코어 서버의 성능을 특성화한다. Multi-Core processors have become main-stream microprocessors in recent years. Servers based on these multi-core processors are widely adopted in High Performance Computing (HPC) and commercial business applications as well. These servers provide increased level of parallelism, thus can potentially boost the performance for applications. However, the shared resources among multiple cores on the same chip can become hot spots and act as performance bottlenecks. Therefore it is essential to optimize the use of shared resources for high performance and scalability for the multi-core servers. In this paper, we conduct experimental studies to analyze the positive and negative effects of the resource sharing on the performance of HPC applications. Through the analyses we also characterize the performance of multi-core servers.
내부금속관 형태에 따른 도재전장금관의 파절강도와 도재색조에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on the fracture strength and color of ceramic by the design of the metal coping in ceramo metal crown. In this study, four types of ceramic crowns were made for fracture strength : standard ceramo metal crown, collariess ceramo metal crown, modified ceramo metal crown, and ceramic jacket crown. And three types of disk formed-specimens were made to compare the dentin shade owing to aluminous opaque powder and palladium alloy. Fracture strength was measured by universal testing machine(Instron Co. Ltd., U.S.A) and color was measured by color and color difference meter(Yasuda Seiki Seisakusho, Ltd., Japan). The results were as follows : 1. The fracture strength of ceramic was affected significantly by the design of metal coping in ceramo metal crown. The mean fracture strength(192.0 Kg) of standard ceramo metal crown was about 1.7 times higher than that(111.5 Kg) of collarless ceramo metal crown, and about 2.8 times higher than that(67.8 Kg) of ceramic jacket crown. 2. Modified ceramo metal crown that has metal band in the labio cervical had the lowest fracture strength. 3. Lightness, yellowness and redness of the dentin fired were decreased by the metal coping.

This Paper describes implementation of a remote ECG diagnostic system using telephone line. The overall system includes ECG data acquisition system, ECG terminal, system control software, automatic diagnosis system, and transmission system.'The proposed system provides various functions, which are ECG data acquisition, transmission, receiving, diagnosis and dialogue between patients and medical doctors. Thls system is very simple and convienient to use. We evaluate the performance of modem and the accuracy of automatic diagnosis algorithm. The obtained results suggest the Possibilities of a remote ECG diagnostic system using the only existed telephone line.
