이온성 액체에 의한 CdSe/ZnS 나노입자의 상과 크기제어 합성

이온성 액체는 일정한 온도 범위에서 액체로 존재하는 이온성 염으로, 유기 양이온과 유기 또는 무기 음이온의 이온결합으로 이루어져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이온성 액체를 CdSe/ZnS 반도체 나노입자 합성의 리간드 및 용매로 사용하여 이들이 나노입자의 형태와 결정 구조에 미치는 영향에 대해서 연구하였다. CdSe/ZnS 나노입자는 용매로 알킬기의 길이가 다른 imidazolium 계열; 1-R-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([RMIM][TFSI]), R = ethyl ([EMIM]), butyl ([BMIM]), hexyl ([HMIM]), octyl ([OMIM]), 을 사용하여, 평균 크기는 약 8~9 nm 이고 두 상 zinc-blende 및 wurtzite 혼합물로 합성하는 것을 성공하였다. 또한, CdSe/ZnS 나노입자는 trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([$P_{6,6,6,14}$][TFSI]) 이온성 액체와 octadecene (ODE)의 혼합 용액을 사용하여 합성하였다. [$P_{6,6,6,14}$][TFSI]의 부피비가 증가함에 따라 나노입자의 결정 구조가 zinc-blende 구조에서 wurtzite 구조로 조절되었다. 또한 나노입자의 평균 크기는 약 5.5 nm 로써 [RMIM][TFSI] 를 사용했을 때 보다 더 작게 합성되었다. 이처럼 이온성 액체에 의해서 나노입자의 크기뿐 만 아니라 결정 구조도 조절할 수 있음을 처음으로 증명하였다. Ionic liquids are room-temperature molten salts, composed of organic mostly of organic ions that may undergo almost unlimited structural variation. We approach the new aspects of ionic liquids in applications where the semiconductor nanoparticles used as sensitizers of solar cells. We studied the effects of ionic liquids as capping ligand and/or solvent, on the morphology and phase of the CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles. Colloidal CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles were synthesized using a series of imidazolium ionic liquids; 1-R-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide ([RMIM][TFSI]), where R = ethyl ([EMIM]), butyl ([BMIM]), hexyl ([HMIM]), octyl ([OMIM]). The average size of nanoparticles was 8~9 nm, and both zinc-blende and wurtzite phase was produced. We also synthesized the nanoparticles using a mixture of trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([$P_{6,6,6,14}$][TFSI]) and octadecene (ODE). The CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles have a smaller size (5.5 nm) than that synthesized using imidazolium, and with a controlled phase from zinc-blende to wurtzite by increasing the volume ratio of [$P_{6,6,6,14}$][TFSI]. For the first time, the phase and size control of the CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles was successfully demonstrated using those ionic liquids.

Social epidemiology is a sub-discipline of epidemiology explicitly investigating social determinants of population distributions of health, disease, and well-being. Persistent pattern of social inequalities in health in spite of the broad improvement in the physical environment over the last centuries necessitated the development of this field as an approach to understand disease etiology that incorporates social experiences as more direct determinant of health. Social epidemiology incorporates theories, measurement tools, and techniques from a wide variety of other social sciences. A population perspective, the social context of behavior, contextual multilevel analysis, a developmental and life-course perspective, and general susceptibility to disease are the most important guiding concepts in social epidemiology.

FDG-PET은 많은 종류의 암에서 질병의 범위를 판정하거나, 치료효과 판정 및 재발병소 진단에 유용한 영상기법이다. FDG-PET을 시행하여 뇌하수체 부위에 우연히 섭취가 증가된 소견이 있을 경우 추가적인 영상 검사와 내분비 기능 검사를 시행하여 기능성 또는 비기능성 종양 여부를 결정하고 적절한 치료를 시행해야 한다. 저자들은 우연히 FDG-PET에서 발견되어 확진 검사 후 비기능성 뇌하수체 선종으로 진단한 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Whole-body positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) is a tomographic imaging technique that uses a radiolabeled analog of glucose, 18F-FDG, to image relative glucose uptake rates in various tissues. Since the glucose uptake is increased in many malignancies, 18F-FDG PET is a sensitive method for detecting, staging, and monitoring the effects of therapy on many malignancies. However, it is uncommon to discover an asymptomatic non-functioning pituitary tumor unexpectedly as a hypermetabolic lesion in PET studies. Here, we report a pituitary tumor that was detected incidentally by FDG-PET and ultimately turned out to be a non-functioning pituitary macroadenoma. (Korean J Med 76:374-379, 2009)

In an effort to evaluate the usage of preceptorship in a department of family medicine, we analyzed the data which gathered during 10 months, from July 1990 to April 1991. The analyzed results were as follows ; 1. The number of precepting per preceptor was 3.5 during one day. 2. In the clinical learning, the residents needed instruction most frequently in the process for diagnosing the problems of their patients. 3. For the purpose of evaluating the teaching behavior of preceptors, we asked to 21 residents and 8 preceptors of the department who experienced the preceptorship for responding a questionnaire, which contained 30 questions. Residents perceived that the most contributable teaching behavior was deals with students in a friendly, outgoing manner . Preceptors answered that behavior as emphasizes problem solving approaches rather than solution per se . About the least contributable teaching behavior, residents and preceptors agreed that it was emphasis on his/her personal research . For further improvement in clinical instruction and its evaluation, it would be necessary to develop a collaborative methodology for clinical instruction and to organize an ongoing professional communication.

Because J taka was established long ago and revised versions of the original Indian folklore have been included since then, the number of tales belonging to J taka has increased gradually.<br/> Stupa described as material in J taka of Da Tang Xi-Yu-Ji essentially belongs to Buddhist lay people. Stupa belief does not end up only with religion. Buddhist literature through stupa beliefs was supposed to affect the rise of Mahayana Buddhism. Though Buddhism begun in India, Buddhism was influenced by Hinduism based on Brahmanism. Ideas of samsara and karma are the same. It is necessary to find what the writer of Jakata intended where he or she used motifs of one’s audacious sacrifice of his or her body facing death. Even though Tathagata is described as an animal, the emphasis on the sacrifice of one’s body risking one’s own life comes from Buddhism’s existentialism which focuses on practice. This has a purpose to teach the readers to do altruistic acts, though not leading to audacity of risking one’s life, by helping Buddhists be infinitely moved by the stories about Tathagata who, following a way of Bodhisattva in samsara, sacrificed his or her own life for others. This educational purpose also can be noticed in J taka whose motive is edification of manners. Also, it seems that using motif of abandonment of kingship is related to the fact of Sakyamuni’s joining the sangha, which turns Sakyamuni’s real story into a literary story. Using such miracles as making a spring run or spurting a thousand streams of mother’s milk as motifs seems to adopt folklore circulating in the contemporary India.
