XMLMD : XML 웹서비스 기반의 클라이언트 OLAP API

OLAP(On-Line Analytical Processing)은 데이터 웨어하우스에 저장된 정보를 다차원적으로 분석하여 그 결과를 온라인으로 사용자에게 제공하는 제반 기술로써, 비즈니스 인텔리젼스의 핵심 기술 중 하나이다. OLAP 애플리케이션을 개발하기 위해서는 OLAP API를 필요로 하며, 주요 API들로는 OLE DB for OLAP, JOLAP, XML for analysis (XML/A)를 들 수 있다. 이 중에서 XML/A는 XML 웹서비스를 지원하는 API로써 SOAP, XML, HTTP 등 개방형 인터넷 표준을 따른다. XML/A는 데이터를 XML 형태로 전송함으로써 서로 다른 플랫폼을 갖는 클라이언트와 서버간에 통신을 할 수 있도록 해 준다. 반면, OLAP 오브젝트나 분석 데이터를 서버에 요청하기 위해서 클라이언트는 동일한 형식의 XML 데이터를 매번 생성해야 하는 번거로움을 안고 있다. 본 연구에서는 윈도우즈 환경의 애플리케이션 개발자들이 이러한 번거로운 작업을 하지 않고 XML/A Provider의 웹서비스를 통해 편리한 다차원 데이터 분석을 지원하는 XMLMD(XML Multidimensional) API를 설계하고 구현하였다.

Purpose: The metabolic activity and demand usually increase in seriously ill patients, especially in patients with a brain injury (BI). These nutritional demands have been traditionally satisfied using predictive equations (PEs). Recently, indirect calorimetry (IC) has been used widely because it is more accurate than other methods. This study measured the energy expenditures (EE) using IC (GE, CARESCAPE B650, Helsinki, Finland) and calculated the PEs simultaneously in patients with BI. Methods: This study was conducted on 55 patients with a BI for three years (2017.7∼2020.8), who were mechanically ventilated within a hospital for ≤seven days. The EE values using IC were measured once in each patient, and the EE values using PE were calculated using 5 PEs (ESPEN, Harris-Benedict, HB; Frankenfield, FK; Penn state, PS; and Faisy) at the same time. The 55 patients were divided into two groups, acute group (39 patients; ≤3 hospital days group, AG) and subacute group (16 patients; >3 hospital days group, SG) according to the time, and the values were obtained. Results: There were no differences in the patient’s characteristics between the two groups, including age, gender, severity of the condition (Simplified Acute Physiology Score II), and anthropometric parameters. In AG, the energy expenditure values using PEs were significantly lower than those using IC in the three PEs (IC 1,712.0±476 kcal, ESPEN 1,558.6±324 kcal, P=0.038, HB 1,582.4±273 kcal, P=0.037, PS 1,530.8±340 kcal, P=0.005). In SG, the EE value using PEs did not differ significantly from that using IC. Conclusion: An accurate assessment of EE is critical for seriously ill patients. These results showed that the previously well-known PEs might not be correct, particularly in acute patients with BI. Therefore, it is recommended that the EE values be obtained using IC, at least in acute patients with BI.

The main purpose is the effectively improving the working conditions of the two groups and keeping a high level of service quality and aims to contribute to raise the world's most competitive airport services. First, recognition on work environment of Incheon International Airport and the airline outsourcing staffs shows that there is a difference. In particular, external working environment related with salaries and benefits, environment-related work conditions and the social working environment related with staff's cooperation, atmosphere at work, etc. has shown a difference. Second, between airlines outsourcing staffs on working environment and organizational citizenship behavior, the relationship of external working environment related with salary, benefits, good working environment and organizational citizenship behavior affects negative(-). Third, the manager of airport cooperation and airline has to make on effort for improvement with constant attention due to the effects of the perception of working environment on job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness is very large impact. Fourth, the difference analysis of the demographic characteristics are more interested and sensitive to working environment, job satisfaction and organizational commitment on less than one year of service staff and spent more than 4 years or 5 years of service staffs. To maintain service competitiveness and quality, it absolutely needs to special care and improvement in order to meet the staffs' interests related to working environment, job satisfaction and organizational commitment working for less than one year staff and over 5 years of service staffs considering change of occupation.
샤모어 OLAP API : 다양한 OLAP 시스템을 지원하는 OLAP API 설계 및 구현

비즈니스 인텔리전스는 정보를 저장하고 분석하여 부가가치를 창출해 내는 기술로써 무한경쟁시대에서 기업이 경영환경 추세를 파악하고 경영전략을 세우는데 필수적인 도구이다. 비즈니스 인텔리전스 핵심기술로는 정보를 분석하기 쉬운 형태로 저장하는 데이터웨어하우징 기술과, 정보를 다차원적으로 분석하는 OLAP 기술, 그리고 데이터에 숨겨진 패턴과 관계를 찾아내는 데이터마이닝 기술이 포함되며, 이들 각각을 위한 소프트웨어 제품들은 개발되어 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 기업이 요구하는 분석결과를 적시에 제공하기 위해서는 이들을 통합한 개발 프레임워크가 필요하며, 본 연구팀은 그러한 프레임워크 개발 프로젝트(Chamois Project)에 참여하고 있다. 이 프레임워크에는 유사한 기능을 제공하는 여러 종류의 소프트웨어 제품들이 포함되어 있어서, 공통의 응용 프로그래밍 인터페이스(API)를 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 특히 다양한 OLAP 제품들을 수월하게 사용할 수 있도록 공통 OLAP API를 개발하였고, 이를 소개하고자 한다. 이와 같이 통합 환경에서 다양한 OLAP 제품들을 지원할 수 있다는 것은 OLAP 제품들의 선택의 폭을 넓히고 응용 프로그램의 코드를 수정하지 않아도 보다 나은 기능을 갖는 OLAP 제품으로의 업그레이드가 쉽게 이루어진다는 장점을 갖는다.
대한민국에서의 나노물질 위해성에 관한 일반인/전문가 인식 설문조사

Public perceptions of nanotechnology and its potential risk can be an important measure for the sustainable advances of the technology. We conducted a survey for public (N=599) and experts (N=165). They answered the same questions and results were analyzed. 74% of the public have not heard about the potential risk of nanotechnology and 77% expected that nanotechnology/materials are not harmful to the human and nature. 74% of experts realized the potential hazards by nanomaterials. The results represented that large perception gab between public and experts has existed in Korea. Interestingly, Korean public thought that nanotechnology is more profitable and less risky than that of American. We suggest that 'now is the best time to give appropriate information on the potential risk of nanotechnology to Korean public without preconception or exaggeration.

Nanotechnology is emerging as one of the key technologies of the 21 st century and is expected to enable one to broaden the applicability across a wide range of sectors that can benefit public and improve industrial competitiveness. Already. consumer products containing nanomaterials are available in markets including coatings, computers, clothing, cosmetics, sports equipment and medical devices. Recently. Institute of Occupational Medicine in UK reported an occupational hygiene review for nanoparticles in the viewpoint of nanotoxicity. They reported that the exposure control is very important issues in workplace for exposure assessment. but no proper methods are available to measure the extent of exposures to nanoparticles in the workplace. Therefore, for the estimation of exposure of nanomaterials, we have to approach the material-balance methodology, which similarly carried out in TRI (toxic release inventory) for hazardous chemicals. In order to use this methodology, the exposure source of nanomaterials should be determined firstly. Therefore, herein we investigated the main sources and processes for the exposure to nanomaterals by conducting the survey. The results could be used to define and assess nanohazard sources.
