        식민시대 지식인, 유상규(劉相奎)의 삶의 궤적

        Many of the Korean intellectuals resisted against suppression of Japanese Imperialism with the people during the Japanese occupation period. Ryu Sang-Kyu was also one of those intellectuals. Ryu Sang-Kyu was born in Gang-gye of North Pyongan-do on 10th November, 1897. He entered Keijo Medical College as one of the first entering students in 1916. However, at the end of his third year, he participated in the 3·1 Independence Movement of Korea and was suspended from the college which was run by the Japanese on account of his participation. Then moving to Shanghai, he joined Heung Sa Dan(興士團), an active patriotic group fighting for independence of Korea. He initiated the provisional government of Korea as a network investigator and he played second string to Ahn Chang-Ho(安昌浩), one of major Korean independence activists for four years. In 1923, following Ahn Chang-Ho’s advice, he returned to Keijo Medical College to complete the course. Even in colonial Korea, he continued independence movement and was involved in Dong Woo Hoe(同友會), the branch of Heung Sa Dan in Korea. After the graduation of Keijo Medical College in 1927, he had served at the department of surgery in Keijo Medical College. In 1930, he participated in founding of the Korean Medical Association(朝鮮醫師協會). He also raised public awareness by writing to many articles on hygiene and public health issues in public journals and newspapers. In short, he did his best as an intellectual, a medical doctor, an activist of independence movement until he died from streptococcal infection on 7th July, 1936.

      • 토끼에서 Etofenprox와 Spinosad 합제의 국소자극성 시험

        This study was performed to evaluation the skin and eye irritation of etofenprox 8% and spinosad 4% combination in male New Zealand White rabbits. In skin irritation test, the combination of etofenprox and spinosad did not showed any change of body weight but caused slight skin irritation with the P.I.I. (primary irritation index) value 0.25. The etofenprox and spinosad combination showed severe eye irritation 1 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h after ocular treatment, having the A.O.I. (acute ocular irritation) value of 37.3. Therefore, these result indicated that the combination of etofenprox and spinosad might be irritant formulation on eye and skin.

        감초추출물 첨가가 청국장의 품질에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of Glycyrrluizia uralensis water extract on the quality of Cheonggukjang(fermented soybean paste). Soybeans were soaked for 24 hrs, steamed for 1 hr at 121 , mixed with G. uralensis extract(0, 1, 3 and 5%) and fermented for 54 hrs at 40 after inoculation of Bacillus lichenifomis. The amounts of viscous substance and reducing sugar, and pH of the products were increased when the G. uralensis extract was added. The color of the products was changed to dark yellow by the addition of G. uralensis extract. Ammonia odor and bitter taste decreased as the G. uralensis extract content increased. The products added with 5% of G. uralensis extract showed higher acceptability scores than the others. Results suggest that the water extract of G. uralensis could be used as an additive to improve the quality of Cheonggukjang.

        전처리방법에 따른 새송이 된장절임의 품질특성 변화

        This study was conducted to find the optimum pretreatment method to improve the quality of Pleurotus eryngii pickled with the fermented soybean paste. Blanching(70 , 10min), salting(5%, 20 , 72hr) and drying(50 , 3hr) were used as pretreatment methods. The moisture loss of the mushrooms during pickling was accelerated more by salting and drying. Salinity increase was retarded by salting. Surface and internal browning of the mushrooms were suppressed by blanching. Hardness tended to increase sharply until 20 days of pickling and then slowly decreased. In the sensory evaluation, mushrooms pickled for 40 days were scored as the highest. Blanching was a superior treatment compared to the others in term of color, taste, flavor, texture and overall acceptability.

        The present study was carried out to investigate the potential acute toxicity of safflower seed by a single oral dose in ICR mice. Twenty animals of each sex were randomly assigned to four groups of 5 rats each and were administered singly by gavage at dose levels of 0, and 2,500 mg/kg bodyweight. Mortalities, clinical findings, and body weight changes were found and complete gross postmortem examinations were performed. Throughout the study period, no treatment-related deaths were observed. There were no adverse effects in clinical signs, body weight, and gross findings at any dose tested. The results showed that the single oral administration of safflower seed did not cause any toxic effect at the dose levels of 2,500 mg/kg in rats and the minimal lethal dose was considered to be over 2,500 mg/kg body weight for both sexes.

        Introduction of gene into the germ line of mammals is one of the major recent technology advances in the area of biomedical sciences. Thrasgenic animals have been instrumental in providing new insight into mechanism of gene regulation, and also into the action of oncogenes. Furthermore, the transgenic technology offers exciting possibilities for generating precise animal models for human genetic disease. Transgenic mice expressing each human mutant PS2 gene and APPsw gene under the control of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) promoter, HPV16 E6 oncogene under the control of β-casein gene promoter, and CYP1B1 gene under the control of tetracycline regulator systems were produced in our laboratory. These transgenic mice offer new opportunities to investigate the evaluation and caracteristics of Alzheimer's disease and mammary gland tumor cellular abnormalities and also the effects of toxins, as well as biochemical and cellular mechanism of disease, and, ultimately, will provide systems to test therapeutic strategies.

        적외선열화상장치를 이용한 Buchanan plugger 표면의 온도상승 분석

        This study was performed to evaluate the temperature rise on various position of the Buchanan plugger, the peak temperature of plugger's type and the temperature change by its touching time of heat control spring. The heat carrier system 'System B' (Model 1005. Analytic Technologies, USA) and the Buchanan's pluggers of F, FM, M and ML sizes are used for this study. The temperature was set to 200℃ which Dr. Buchanan's "continuous wave of condensation" technique recommended on digital display and the power level on it was set to 10. In order to apply heat on the Buchanan's pluggers, the heat control spring was touched for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 seconds respectively. The temperature rise on the surface of the pluggers were measured at 0.5 mm intervals from tip to 20 mm length of shank using the infraed thermography (Radiation Thermometer-IR temper, NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd, Japan) and TH31-702 Data capture software program (NEC San-ei Instruments, Ltd, Japan). Data were analyzed using a one way ANOVA followed by Duncan's multiple range test and linear regression test. The results as follows. 1. The position at which temperature peaked was approximately at 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm far from the tip of Buchanan's pluggers (p<0.001). The temperature was constantly decreased toward the shank from the tip of it(p<0.001). 2. When the pluggers were heated over 5 seconds, the peak temperature by time of measurement revealed from 253.3±10.5℃ to 192.1±3.3℃ in a touch for 1 sec, from 218.6±5.0℃ to 179.5±4.2℃ in a touch for 2 sec, from 197.5±3.0℃ to 167.6±3.7℃ in a touch for 3 sec, from 183.7±2.5℃ to 159.8±3.6℃ in a touch for 4 sec and from 164.9±2.0℃ to 158.4±1.8℃ in a touch for 5 sec. A touch for 1 sec showed the highest peak temperature, followed by, in descending order, 2 sec, 3 sec, 4 sec. A touch for 5 sec showed the lowest peak temperature (p<0.001). 3. A each type of pluggers showed different peak temperatures. The peak temperature was the highest in F type and followed by, in descending order, M type, ML type. FM type revealed the lowest peak temerature (p<0.001). The results of this study indicated that pluggers are designed to concentrate heat at around its tip, its actual temperature dose not correlate well with the temperature which Buchanan's "continuous wave of condensation" technique recommended, and finally a quick touch of heat control spring for 1 sec reveals the highest temperature rise.

      • Bacillus sp. KCM-101에 의한 내열성 α-amylase의 생산 및 효소학적 성질

        A strain isolated from soil was able to produce thermostable α-amylase. The strain (KC-101) was identification as Bacillus sp. Bacillus sp. KC-101 was treated NTG(N-methyl-nitro-nitrosoguanidine). The mutant KCM-101 increased α-amylase activity and decreased pretease activity. The condition for production, purification, and properties of α-amylase were investigated. α-Amylase production was maximized when was grown on soluble starch 2.0%, yeast extract 0.5%, K2HPO4 0.1% and MnCl2 0.02% for 24hrs at 37℃, and initial pH 7.0. The enzyme production was also increased by the addition of 0.01% Triton X-100. The enzyme was purified by ultrafiltration(MW 10,000), 80% ammonium sulfate precipitation, and Sephadex G-75 gel chromatography and it's yield 15.0%, The characteristics of purified α-amylase were as follow : MW 55,000, optimal pH and temperature were 7.0 and 95℃, respectively. The enzyme was activated by Ca++ and Mn++ ion but inhibited Co++, Cu++, Hg++, and Pb++ ion. The enzyme was stable at 95℃ and it's thermostability was greatly increased by the addition of Ca++. In kinetic studies, the Km value of α-amylase for soluble starch was 0.93mg/mL.

      • 자아강도와 자기은폐에 따른 상담 동기와 상담자에 대한 기대

        본 연구의 목적은 자기은폐와 자아강도에 따라 상담동기와 상담자에 대한 기대가 어떻게 다른지 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 일반 대학생 348명을 대상으로 인구통계학적 변인을 포함한 자기은폐, 자아강도, 상담동기, 상담자에 대한 기대 질문지를 실시하였다. 먼저, 상담자에 대한 기대 질문지를 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 4개의 요인이 추출되었고 그중 3개의 요인을 선택하여 상담자의 지시성, 자기노출, 공감성으로 명명하였다. 본 분석에서는 자기은폐, 자아강도와 두 변인 간의 상호작용이 상담동기와 상담자에 대한 기대에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 자아강도가 강할수록 상담에 대한 동기가 높았고, 자기은폐가 높을수록 상담에 대한 동기는 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 상담자에 대한 기대에는 자기은폐의 주효과가 있어 자기은폐 수준이 높을수록 상담자에 대한 기대는 높아졌다. 또한 자아강도와 자기은폐의 상호작용효과로 인하여, 자기은폐 수준이 높으면 자아강도 수준에 따라 상담자에 대한 기대는 차이가 없이 높았고, 자기은폐 수준이 낮으면 자아강도가 강할수록 상담자에 대한 기대는 낮아졌다. 셋째, 상담자의 자기노출과 공감성에 대한 기대에 자기은폐가 영향을 주었고 각 하위요인들에 대해 자아강도와 자기은폐의 상호작용효과는 없었다. 즉, 자기은폐 수준이 높을수록 상담자의 자기노출과 공감을 더 기대한다고 할 수 있다. 유의미하지는 않았지만 상담자의 지시성에 대해서도 자아강도와 자기은폐의 상호작용효과가 있었다. 자기 은폐 수준이 높으면 자아강도 수준에 따라 상담자 지시성에 대한 기대는 차이가 없이 높았고, 자기은폐 수준이 낮으면 자아강도가 강할수록 상담자 지시성에 대한 기대는 낮아졌다. 끝으로 본 연구 결과에 대한 논의 및 연구의 의의, 그리고 제한점과 향후 연구에 대한 시 사점들을 언급하였다. The purpose of this study was to find out differences in counseling motivation and expectations about counselor in accordence with the effects of self-concealment and ego-strength. To do this, 348 university students(165 men, 183 women) were asked to the questionnaire which were composed of self-concealment, ego-strength, counseling motivation and expectations about counselor and demographic informations. Through a factor analysis of the expectations about counselor, four factor were extracted. Three factors of them were choosen and named counselor's directiveness, self-disclosure, empathy. The results of this study are as follow: first, the ego-strength affected significantly on counseling motivation. The higher was the ego-strength, the higher counseling motivation. And the higher was self-concealment, the lower counseling motivation but nonsignificantly. Second, the higher was self-concealment, the higher expectations about counselor. And there was an interaction between the ego-strength and self-concealment. That is, when the self-concealment was low, the expectations about counselor became lower as the ego-strength get higher, but not so when it was high. Third, the self-concealment affected significantly on counselor's self-disclosure and empathy. The higher the self-concealment of the student was, the more he or she expected counselor's self-disclosure and empathy. Although of not significant level, ego-strength interact with self-concealment about counselor's directiveness. That is, when the self-concealment was low, the expectations about counselor' directiveness became lower as the ego-strength get higher, but not so when it was high. Finally, the results of this study, counseling implications, the limit of this study and suggestion for future are discussed in the last session.

        In this paper, we propose a new method to parallelize multidimensional subscript loop with non-uniform distance. A loop comprise most of the computation in a program and the most important source of parallelism. Multidimensional subscript within a loop difficult to determine for distance to be required loop dependence elimination. Therefore, we propose new methods that used dependency function to eliminate dependence.
