      • 실험적 모드해석법을 이용한 시스템행렬 추정

        본 논문에서는 시스템의 고유진동수, 모드감쇠비 및 모드모양을 구하는 방법에 대하여 알아보고 구해진 모달파라메타(고유진동수, 모드감쇠비, 모드모양)를 이용하여 시스템 행렬을 추정하는 방법에 대하여 논하였다. 이 방법을 5자유도 모델에 적용하여 시뮬레이션을 하였고 정확한 모델과 추정한 모델의 결과를 비교해보았다. 또한 실험을 통하여 알루미늄 Beam의 모달파라메타를 구했으며 구해진 모달파라메타를 이용하여 시스템 행렬을 추정했다. 추정된 시스템 행렬의 타당성을 판단하기 위하여 실험으로부터 구한 주파수 응답함수와 추정한 모델로부터 구한 주파수 응답함수를 비교하였다. 또한 실험으로부터 구한 주파수 응답함수를 Modal Analysis 소프트웨어인 ME' ScopeVES에 적용하여 모드모양을 구했고, 실험재료를 3차원으로 모델링하여 유한요소해석 소프트웨어인 ANSYS에 적용하여 모드모양을 구했고, 실험적인 모드모양과 해석적인 모드모양을 비교하였다. This paper presents the method of getting natural frequency, modal damping ratio, and mode shape of a system, and then describes the method of estimating the system matrices using the modal parameters(natural frequency, modal damping ratio, and mode shape) obtained. In order to prove the validity of this method, simulation study and experiment was performed. In the simulation study, 5 DOF exact model was assumed. Modal parameters can be obtained from frequency response function of the exact system matrices, and then the method of estimating the system matrices can be applied. Frequency response functions of the two model ( exact and estimatied ) were compared. In the experiment, aluminum beam was used. Modal Parameters can be obtained from using accelerometers, force transducer, FFT Analyzer (DI-2200) and ME' ScopeVES (Modal Analysis Software). Frequency response functions of the two model ( experimented and estimatied ) were compared.

        Coating을 시행한 뇌동맥류 파열환자의 예후

        In rare occasions in which aneurysmal neck clipping is nearly impossible, coating is employed. During the period from 1985 to 1992, 312 patients with aneurysm underwent surgery ; aneurysmal neck clipping were performed in 284 cases while coating only in 28. The reasons that coating was required were ; wide and broad neck in 13, perforators arising from the neck in 4, neck tearing during dissection in 3, very friable neck in 2, severe adhesion with surrounding structures in 3, and small aneurysm without enough room for clipping in 3. In twenty-three cases, cotton wisp and bioglue were used as coating materials. In another five cases, the aneurysmal wall was reinforced using Surgicel or Gelfoam. Patients were followed for 24 months on average of all the patients. Four had last contact Six died(4 due to rebleeding and 2 due to pneumonia). Fourteen were good and 4 were moderately disabled. There were no rebleeding incidences during first three months' follow-up after coating. We thus concluded that coating an aneurysm offers some protection from rebleeding, particularly when the rebleeding risk period is over.

      • 일 대학병원에 입원한 주요우울장애의 증상 특성

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the frequency and kinds of symptoms and the profile of depressive symptoms and somatic symptoms of admitted patients with major depressive disorder in a university hospital. Methods: The study was cross-sectional study in Chosun university hospital. A total of 299 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of major depressive disorder according to DSM-IV were participated in this study. Forty four item questionnaires were developed to check symptoms and the questionnaires checked from patient's medical record. Results: Common depressive symptoms were the following order: depressive mood (55.2%), initial insomnia (52.8%), anxious/tense (47.8%), tired/no energy (35.1%), suicidal ideation (28.8%). Common somatic symptoms were the following order: decreased appetite (33.1%), headache (22.1%). gastric discomfort (16.7%), palpitation (15.4%), chest discomfort (11.4%). Comparing depressive symptoms and somatic symptoms in terms of gender, anxious/tense, emotional/cry a lot, decreased appetite, gastric discomfort, palpitation, were more frequent in female patients (p<0.05), On the other hand, interpersonal sensitivity, pessimism were more frequent in male patients (p<0.05). Elderly depressed patients showed hypochondriasis symptom more frequently than younger patients (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggested that the depressive symptoms showed dissimilar in character according to the gender and age. Therefore proper diagnostic and therapeutic approaches will be needed for each patient's symptom characteristics.

      • 순환병류곡물건조기에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 벼의 순환 병류 건조 시뮬레이션 Simulation of Concurrent-flow Rice Drying

        The four-partial differential equation model for cereal grain drying was modified to be suitable for concurrent-flow rough rice drying. The equations were solved numerically by use of 4th order Runge-Kutter and Adams-Bashforth-Houlton method. Simulated moisture contents and grain temperatures were compared with experimental results obtained from eight drying tests. Square of correlation coefficient, R^2, between the experimental and predicted moisture content, in each of eight tests, was 0.914 to 0.978 and standard error was 0.897%, w.b. or less. In case of grain temperatures in each of right tests, R^2 was 0.784 or more and standard error was 2.6℃ or less. The simulation program predicted satisfactorily moisture contents and grain temperature and was found suitable for designing and analyzing performanc of concurrent-flow rice dryer.

        Characterization of Angiogenesis Inhibitor Effect of Green Tea Seed Extract

        Green tea seed was extracted with absolute ethanol,and the green tea seed extract(GTSE)was subjected to assays for toxicity, antioxidant ability, angiogenesis inhibitory effects and cell adhesion, as well as western blotting, and an in vivo experiment against 4 high-ranking adult cancers in Korea. Our series of experimental data demonstrated that GTSE has an antioxidant ability superior to that of EGCG in the green tea leaf, and also exhibits a profound high tumor growth inhibitory activity on a variety of cancer cell lines, as well as nude mice infected with cancer cells. GTSE was identified as a natural anticancer compound showing excellent angiogenesis inhibition and cancer cell suppression abilities. Our preliminary observations also indicate that GTSE may be another potential source of natural dietary antioxidants and also may be applicable as a novel natural anticancer agent.

      • Complete chloroplast genome of Codonopsis lanceolata and Platycodon grandiflorus: insight into evolution of the Asterales and development of molecular marker.

        Asterales are dicotyledonous flowering plants and are one of the Asterid clade, incuding many species as well as Codonopsis and Platycodon. Here, we have determined the complete chloroplast genome sequences of C. lanceolata and P. grandiflorus by using the targeted denovo assembly method of short reads derived from whole genome resequencing. The total lengths of each chloroplast genome sequence are 156,180 bp for C. lanceolata and 155,453 bp for P. grandiflorus. In their chloroplast genomes, 106 genes (75 protein-coding genes, 4 rRNA genes, 23 tRNA genes, and 4 hypothetical chloroplast open reading frames [ycfs]) exhibited the relatively similar positions. Also, 7 protein-coding genes commonly showed to contain introns in both C. lanceolata and P. grandiflorus chloroplast genome, while psaA gene contain intragenic regions only in P. grandiflorus chloroplast genome. In further analysis, we identified the codon usage bias to A or T and found the different simple sequence repeat (SSR) loci of each chloroplast genome (18 SSR loci of C. lanceolata and 16 SSR loci of P. grandiflorus). In the phylogenetic trees based on 72 protein-coding genes, C. lanceolata is more closely related to P. grandiflorus than the other plant species order Asterales. Also, we found the highest sequence diversities of 12 protein-coding genes in small single copy (SSC) region than in the inverted repeat (IRs) and large single copy (LSC) region, and 3 genes such as rpoC2 (LSC region), ndhB (IRs region), and ndhF (SSC region) showed the highest number of segregating sites in each region. Additionally, we developed the molecular markers for phylogenetic applications of C. lanceolata and P. grandiflorus chloroplast genome.

        폐와 하악골에 다발성으로 발생한 Histiocytosis X

        Hitiocytosis X, recently termed Langergans cell histiocytosis, is a rare disease histologically characterized by an abnormal proliferation of histiocytes, and of which the pathophysiology is still ambiguous. The clinical presentation is highly varied. Typically, there is a solitary or multiple bony involvements, and less frequently, lesions are found in other organs such as the lungs, liver, lymph nodes, skin, and mucosae. Interestingly, so far, there has been no report which shows multiple developments in both soft and hard tissues. In this report, we present a case of hitiocytosis X in both mandible and lung. This may provide some information for understanding the pathophysilogy of the histiocytosis X.

        지역 특산 천연산물 전호, 파고지, 희첨 및 산수유의 항비만효과 규명

        본 연구에서는 신생혈관형성 제어에 바탕을 둔 비만세포 제어 정도를 확인하기 위하여 4가지 지역 천연산물인 전호 (Anthrisci radix), 파고지 (Psoraleae semen), 희첨 (Siegesbeckiae herba) 및 산수유 (Corni fructus)를 이용한 지방 축적물 변화 및 기전을 확인하기 위해 3T3-L1 adipocyte를 이용한 Oil Red O 염색 및 western blot을 실시하였다. 그 결과 전호, 파고지, 희첨, 산수유의 세포 독성 이내의 농도 증가에 따라 지방 축적물이 감소됨을 보였다. 또한 western blot을 위해 lipogenesis와 관련된 SREBP-1 및 adipogenesis와 관련된 PPARγ와 C/EBPα의 신호전달 정도를 확인한 결과 4가지 지역 천연산물의 농도 증가에 따라 단백질의 발현양이 감소 됨을 확인하였다. 이는 4가지 지역 천연산물 추출물이 지방 분화와 관련된 신호분자를 차단함으로써 지방형성이 억제 되었음을 보였다. 따라서 4가지 지역 천연산물인 전호, 파고지, 희첨 및 산수유는 신생혈관형성 억제에 따른 항비만제 제로서의 이용 가능함을 시사하였다. 4 kinds of Regional Special Natural Products (RSNPs), such as Anthrisci radix, Psoraleae semen, Siegesbeckiae herba and Corni fructus were examined to verify for anti-obesity effect. PPARγ (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ) from 3T3-L1 cell concerning adipocyte differentiation was suppressed by different concentraton of 4 RSNPs with western blot, when treated RSNPs" extract and MDI (IBMX, Dexamethasone, Insulin) at the same time. Also, SREBP-1 (Sterol regulatory element binding protein) controlling lipogenesis and PPARγ expression levels were reduced by these 4 RSNPs" extract, when these chemicals after differentiation of 3T3-L1 cell. And lipid droplets were reduced by 7.5%, 14.4%, 18.3% and 30% at different concentration of Anthrisci radix from Oil Red O staining. Also, it was reduced by 2%, 4.9%, 9.3% and 38% at different concentration of Psoraleae semen. For Siegesbeckiae herba, it was inhibited by 1.4%, 6.4%, 16.4% and 30.1%, respectively. And Corni fructus was also showed by 0.9%, 6.3%, 13.7% and 33% at same concentration of Siegesbeckiae herba. These 4 kinds of RSNPs were expected for a useful material for anti-obesity materials.

      • HCV, Acute, LT : Significance of Homeostasis Model Assessment-Insulin Resistance Level to Assess Insulin Resistance in Chronic Hepatitis C Patients

        Background/Aim: Homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) is commonly used for assessment of insulin resistance (IR) and IR is associated with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) virus infection. Recently, several study presented data about irrelevance between HOMA-IR and IR. This study aimed to examine the significance of HOMA-IR as representative of IR. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed data from CHC patients who receive standard of care (SOC) from September 2009 to March 2013 at Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital. We analyzed the changes of HOMA-IR score before treatment, at the time of end of treatment and at 6 months after treatment. Results: 53 patients were included (26 men; mean age, 51 ± 10.10 years) for this study. The prevalence of genotype 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, and 3a were 1.9%, 35.8%, 54.7%, 3.8%, and 3.8%. Before treatment, initially high HOMA-IR group (>2) was 25 patients (47.2%). 1. There were no significant difference of ETR (83% vs. 92.9%, P=0.404) and SVR rate (87.5% vs. 96.0%, P=0.505) in initially high (>2) vs low (≤2) HOMA-IR groups. 2. There were no significant differences of ETR and SVR according to changes of HOMA-IR level between before and after treatment (high to high vs. high to low vs. low to high vs. low to low HOMA-IR; 23.4%, 21.3%, 6.4%, 48.9%, P=0.750 at ETR, and 13.2%, 23.7%, 7.9%, 55.3%, P=0.424 at SVR). 3. Initial HOMAIR levels had no significant differences between ETR group and non-ETR group (3.30 ± 6.29 and 2.99 ± 1.90; P=0.795), and between SVR group and non-SVR group (2.33 ± 2.90 and 3.34 ± 2.77; P=0.795). Conclusion: HOMA-IR levels were not inversely correlated or predicted of SVR after SOC for CHC patients. So, another assessing modalities such as hyperinsulinaemic euglycaemic clamp may be needed to assess IR in CHC patients.
