        The activated sludge characteristics orignated from the dye wastewater and the tar wastewater were estimated by the comparison of the flux theory with the operating diagram method. The surface areas of the setting tank of the dye wastewater calculated by both methods were almost equal and the similar results obtained on the tar wastewater. But it was found that the flux theory is not suitable for designing the setting tank, because the activated sludge settling characterisitics could be changed daily and the batch settling tests are time-consuming and labor-intensive. The emperical equation, Vi=V。·?? for the operating diagram proposed by G.T. Daigger and R.E. Roper, Jr was applied to the bye wastewater and the tar wastewater. The emperical parameters, V。, determined on the dye wastewater and the tar wastewater were 7.75m/h and 7.48m/h, respectively. The other emperical parameters, k, also estimated on the dye wastewater and the tar wasterwater were 0.00216(SVI) + 0.106 and 0.00157(SVI) + 0.157, respectvely. Consequently, the following relationships between SVI and sludge settling characteristics of the dye wastewater and the tar wastewater were determined ; dye wastewater ; Vi = 7.75e {-0.00216(SVI) + 0.106)?? tar wastewater ; Vi = 7.75e {-0.00157(SVI) + 0.157)??

      • 凝集一活性汚泥工程에 의한 폴리에스테르 減量廢水가 主인 染色廢水處理

        This paper prevides the optimal conditions treating with the coagulation process and the activated sludge process for dyeing wastewater composed of 65% polyester loss weight finish wastewater and the rests, various dyeing wastewater. The results are shown as follows : 1. The alum is the most economical coagulant among ferric chloride, ferrous sulfate and alum by comparison sludge yields and the cost of operation, and the efficiency of COD removal is approximate 24% with 800mg/ℓ of alum (7.2% Al₂O₃) at ??. 2. The optimization conditons of COD volumetric loading and retention time for the design of the activated sludge process following the coagulation precipitation are 0.6kg COD/ m³· D(0.15kg COD/kg MLSS. D) and 24hr. 3. Removal efficiency of COD treated with the activated sludge process following the coagulation precipitation is 86% at 30℃, and decreased 75% at 40℃. 4. It is confirmed that the activated sludge process following coagulation precipitation method provides better treatment efficiency than the coagulation precipitation method following the actived sludge process.

      • 염색공업단지 폐수처리장의 유입폐수 특성

        요 약 문대구 D염색공단의 대표적인 염색가공업체에서 유출되는 폐수와 공단처리장에 유입되는 1 년간(1994. 1-1994. 12) 종합폐수의 수질 및 오염부하변동을 조사하였다.Polyester감량업체의 연평균 BOD 3,112㎎/ℓ , CODMn l,402㎎/ℓ이고, COD/BOD비는 0.34이 였으며, 면 T/C업체의 연평균 BOD 885㎎/ℓ, CODMn 676㎎/ℓ이고, COD/BOD비는 0.76이 였 다. (그리고 Nylon업체의 연평균 BOD 582㎎/ℓ, CODMn 376㎎/ℓ이고, COD/BOD비는 0.65 이였으며, 나염 관련업체의 COD/BOD비는 1.18이였다. )공동폐수처리장에 유입되는 유량의 78%가 50,000 ㎡/day∼60,000㎡/day이였으며, 연평균 수온은 35tC, pH는 11.6∼12.9 범위이고, 부유물질은 92㎎/ℓ 이였다. 공동폐수처리장에 유입 되는 연평균 BOD 및 COD Mn은 각각 1,824mg/ℓ, 760mg/ℓ이고, COD/BOD비는 0.42이였다. 연평균 BOD 및 CODMn 부하량은 각각 107,616kg/day, 45,O17kg/day이고, 이중 부하량 분포 에서 BOD는 80,000∼90,000kg/day 범위가 약 31 %, CODMn은 45,000∼50,000 kg/day 범위가 약 63%로 가장 많은 빈포를 차지하였다. 전체적으로 BOD 부하량는 60,000∼110,000kg/ day 분포가 약 81 %, CODMn 부하량은 40,000∼55,000 kg/day 분포가 약 92%이 였다. Abstract The wastewater discharged from several major dyeing processing industries and the mixed influent wastewater in Taegu D dyeing industrial complex were investigated for a year (1994. 1 ∼ 1994. 12) in order to evaluate the fluctuation of pollutant 1oadings.Average wastewater qualities from the polyester processing were BOD 3,112 mg/ℓ and CODMn l,042 mg/ℓ and those from the cotton T/C processing were BOD 885 mg/ℓ , CODMnMn 676 mg/ℓ and COD/BOD ratios were 0.34 and 0.76, respectively. An addition, average wastewater qualities from the pylolyester processing were BOD 3,112 mg/ℓand CODMn 736 mg/ℓ and COD/BOD Fatio was 1.18 from the printing processing,Flow rate of 78 % at dyeing industrial complex wastewater treatnlent plant was found to be on the range of 50,000㎡/day∼ 60,000㎡/day and the average mixed wastewater qualities were characterized as water tempereture 35℃, pH 12.1, suspended solid 92 mg/ℓ , BOD 1,824 mg/ℓ and CODMn 760 ㎎/ℓ.Average BOD and CODMn loadings were l07,616 kg/day,45,017 kg/day, respectively. About 31% of daily BOD loadings fell on the range of 80,000∼90,000 kg/day and about 63% COD Mn 1oadings did on the range of 45,000∼ 50,000 kg/day, which showed the most frequent range. And about 81 % of total BOD loading was found from 60,000 to 110,000 kg/day and about 92% of total CODMn loading ranged from 40,000 to 55,000 kg/day.

      • 혐기-무산소-호기공정에 의한 도시하수의 질소·인제거에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 질소와 인을 동시에 제거할 수 있는 생물학적 질소-인제거 공정인 혐기-무산소-호기공정을 산업폐수가 포함된 도시하수에 적용한 경우의 유기물 및 질소·인의 제거특성에 대하여 조사하였다. 원수의 특성은 유기물의 농도가 CODCr 120∼230mg/ι로 평균 178mg/ι을 나타내었으나 무기성 탄소원의 농도가 매우 높았으며 이에 따라 생물학적 제거 가능한 유기물의 비율은 낮아 충분한 질산화와 탈질화가 이루어지지 않았다. CODCr/NH_(3)-N이 평균 10이상으로 높았지만 무기성 탄소원이 높아 탈질에 필요한 추가적인 에너지원의 투입을 고려해야 하며, 또한 alkalinity/NH_(3)-N의 비가 2.3정도로 낮게 나타나 완전한 질산화를 위해서는 alkalinity의 공급이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다. 유기물에 대한 평균 제거율은 BOD 84%, CODCr 53%를 나타내었으며, NH_(3)-N의 제거율은 평균 76%이었고 T-N의 제거율은 60%이었다. 그리고 T-P 제거율은 50%정도를 나타내었다. The anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic process was used for biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal of municipal sewage. The CODCr concentration of municipal sewage was 120∼230mg/ι and its average CODCr concentration was 178mg/ι. But because of the high inorganic concentration of municipal sewage, the biological nitrification and denitrification were not accomplished successfully. The alkalinity/NH_(3)-N was 2.3 and under those conditions the additional carbon source and lime should be added The removal efficiency BOD and CODCr were 84% and 53% respectively. The removal efficiencies T-N and T-P were 60% and 50% respectively.

        느타리버섯 폐배지에 대한 줄지렁이(Eisenia fetida) 개체군의 섭식률 및 생장률

        Feeding rate and growth rate of earthworm population on the variously pretreated spent materials of the agaric-mushroom cultivation were investigated. When the spent mushroom substrates with different aging periods were supplied to earthworm, feeding rate and growth rate of earthworm population on spent mushroom substrates aged less than 10 days were higher than that on spent mushroom substrates aged more than 20 days. Feeding rate and growth rate were not increased when the spent mushroom substrate mixed with vermicasts or nitrogenous fertilizer was supplied. Feeding rate and growth rate on the ground mushroom substrate were higher than that on the non-ground mushroom substrate. Especially when the ground mushroom substrate was mixed with rice bran and supplied to earthworms, growth rate was much higher than that on the non-ground spent mushroom substrate; it increased 1.85 times. 여러 가지 방법으로 전처리된 느타리 버섯 폐배지에 대한 줄지렁이 개체군의 섭식률 및 생장률을 조사하였다. 갓 발생한 버섯폐배지의 부숙기간을 달리하여 지렁이에게 급이하였을 경우, 20일 이상 부숙된 버섯 폐배지보다 10일 이하로 부숙된 버섯 폐배지에 대한 지렁이 개체군의 섭식량 및 생장률이 높았다. 분변토를 첨가한 버섯폐배지나 질소영양원으로서 요소비료를 첨가하여 부숙한 버섯폐배지는 지렁이 개체군의 섭식률과 생장률을 증대시키지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 버섯폐배지를 분쇄하여공급하였을 경우에는 섭식량 및 생장률이 증가하였다. 특히 분쇄된 버섯폐배지에 미강을 첨가하였을경우에는 분쇄하지 않은 단순 버섯폐배지보다 생장률이 1.85배 증가하였다.

      • Treatment of UF-Concentrate of Dyeing Industrial Complex Wastewater by Chemical Oxidation Process

        ABSTRACTThe effluent CODMn of tested processes for the treatment of dyeing industrial complex wastewater were followings : 183mg/ t by the oxygen activated sludge process, 75mg/1 by the oxygen activated sludge-coagulation process and 20mg/ t by the oxygen activated sludge-coagulation-ultrafiltration process.The treatability of the concentrate from the oxygen activated sludge-coagulation-ultrafil tration process was studied by the chemical oxidation methods such as Fenton's reagent or ozonization.When the mixture of the dyeing wastewater and the oxidized concentrate was treated at MLSS 4,500mg/<' and HRT 24hr by the oxygen activated sludge process, the water quality of effluent was improved compared to the effluent of the dyeing wastewater only treated by OAS process. From this result, it was found that the mixture of the dyeing wastewater and the concentrate oxidized by chemical reagent increased the biodegra-dability.         지렁이 퇴비화에 의한 조류 부산물 재활용 가능성에 대한 기초 연구

        After feeding mixed samples, VS ranged from 60 to 80% of total costs in 15 days. EC ranged from1.21 to 2.45, 1.25 to 2.1 and 1.2 to 1.88mS/cm when worms were fed with a mixture of by-products of tidal current and sewage sludge, a mixture of by-products of algae producy, and food wastes and a mixture of by-products of algae producy, sewage sludge and food wastes. That means the kinds of mixture don’t have any negative impacts on worms survival. With the feed with a mixture of by-products of algae producy and food wastes and a mixture of by-products of algae producy, sewage sludge and food wastes, pH shows stable 5.4 to 6.7, and 6.2 to 7.4 where is suitable for worms. But a mixture of by-products of algae producy and sewage sludge is out of proper scope for raising worms, in other words, extra care will be necessary. In case of Eh, a mixture of by-products of algae producy and sewage sludge make eh negative (-) in early stage so also when feeding worms, also extra care will be needed. NaCl ranged from 0.32 to 0.82% or form 0.23 to 0.61% when a mixture of by-products of algae producy and food wastes and a mixture of by-products of algae producy, sewage sludge and food wastes were fed. So taking care of salts will be essential whenever feeding. 최근 조류를 이용한 다양한 활용기술이 연구 되면서 활용 후 회수되는 조류 부산물의 자원화를 위하여 환경법 강화로 처리에 곤란을 겪고 있는 하수슬러지와 음식물쓰레기를 혼합 연계처리를 목적으로시료를 각각 조류 부산물+하수슬러지, 조류부산물+음식물쓰레기 및 조류 부산물+하수슬러지+음식물쓰레기로 각각 구분 혼합하여 급이한 후 pH, VS, EC, Eh, NaCl의 항목을 지렁이 생존 가능 지표로 설정하여 유기성 물질의 지렁이 처리 가능성을 위한 기초실험을 15일간 수행하였다. 혼합시료 급이 후 VS는 15일간 전체의 값이 60∼80% 범위로 나타났으며 EC는 부산물+하수슬러지와 조류부산물+음식물쓰레기 및 조류 부산물+하수슬러지+음식물쓰레기의 혼합먹이 급이시 각각1.21~2.45, 1.25~2.1 및 1.2~1.88mS/cm로 나타나 시료의 혼합 종류에 상관없이 지렁이 생존이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 pH는 조류부산물+음식물쓰레기 및 조류 부산물+하수슬러지+음식물쓰레기의 혼합먹이 급이시 15일간 각각 5.4∼6.7 및 6.2∼7.4 범위로 지렁이 생존에 안정한 값을 나타내었으나 조류 부산물+하수슬러지 혼합시료는 지렁이 생육에 적정 범위를 벗어나 주의가 필요한 것으로나타났다. 또한 Eh는 조류 부산물+하수슬러지의 혼합시료 급이 초기시 (-) 값을 나타내어 먹이 공급시 주의를 필요하였으며, NaCl은 조류부산물+음식물쓰레기 및 조류 부산물+하수슬러지+음식물쓰레기의 혼합사료 급이시 0.32~0.82% 및 0.23~0.61%로 나타나 지렁이 먹이로 급이시 염류에 대한 주의가필요한 것으로 나타났다.
