        Although cadmium is a well known heavy metal which attacks testis and results male infertility, the mechanism of action in the testis is'nt still fully known. In the previous experiment, authors observed morphological changes in the testis, and found cadmium-induced death of all the spermatogenic cells and hemorrhagic necrosis within the seminiferous tubules, and apoptosis and death of interstitial cells and fibroblasts in the interstitial tissue of the testis. In this experiment, cadmium chloride (4 mg/kg of body weight) administered to the adult male rats(Sprague-Dawlcy) intraperitoneally and sacrificed 1 week after treatment. And electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation and Western blotting, and N-terminal analysis were performed to find the proteins changed after cadmium treatment in the testis. And the results were as follows; 1. Two proteins of molecular weight 42kDa and 21kDa disappeared after cadmium treatment. 2. The protein of 2lkDa was rat collagen type I alpha 2. According to the above results, it was considered that cadmium degraded the collagen fibers within the wall of small blood vessels in seminiferous tubules and interstitial tissues and disrupted vascular walls, which resulted hemorrhagic necrosis, death of all the spermatogenic cells, and the death of interstitial cells and fibroblastic cells.

        원위기저 후비복 도서형 근막피판을 이용한 하지 연부조직결손의 재건

        The covering of extensive soft-tissue defects over the foot, heel, and ankle remains a common and difficult clinical entity. In general, soft tissue of the extremities is more plentiful in the proximal than the distal part. It is therefore, not difficult to obtain adequate tissue to reconstruct soft tissue defects of the upper or middle third of the leg. However, in the lower part of the leg, a proximally based fasciocutaneous flap cannot be easily used as adequate donor tissue for reconstruction because the soft tissue near the ankle is relatively tight and scanty. On the contrary, if the flap is based distally, we can extend the flap toward the proximal part of the leg, where more soft tissue can be harvested for reconstruction. The principle of fasciocutaneous flap was clearly described by Ponten in 1981¹. In 1983 Donski and Fogdestam described a distally based fasciocutaneous flap from the sural region based on perforating branches from the peroneal artery and in 1986², Amarante et al.reported a distally based fasciocutaneous flap based on the perforators from the posterior tibial vessels³. With further detailed knowledge of the circulation of skin of the leg, the distally based posterior calf fasciocutaneous island flap has been used recently and excellent results in reconstruction of soft tissue defects in the lower one third of the extremities have been obtained. In this paper, a distally based posterior calf fasciocutaneous island flap, nourished by the lower most perforator originating from the posterior tibial at about 4-6.5cm above the medial malleolus and peroneal artery at about 5cm above the lateral melleolus, has been used success fully for reconstruction of the lower leg, ankle, and foot. The advantages are as follows: the blood supply is reliable, elevation is easy and quick, and major arteries are not sacrificed.

        무모두피의 재건을 위한 조직확장술의 이용

        Tissue expansion has undeniable usefulness for providing an alternative source of specialized tissue and even allowing simultaneous closure of donor sites. Recently, tissue expansion became the one of the most popular technique since soft tissue expansion for reconstruction of microtia was attempted by Neumann() in 1957 using an implanted inflatable envelope with an external tube for injections. The use of the tissue expansion technique in head and neck reconstruction was described by Argenta etal in 1983, and Manders et al. presented three cases of pediatric scalp reconstruction utilizing expansion in 1984. In this paper, the authors used 7 tissue expanders to treat 6 alopecia patients with various causes from march, 1990 to april 1994. All cases were successfully reconstructed without major complication. We have determined that the method is safe, simple, and reliable and provides excellent aesthetic results and high patient acceptance and satisfaction. In conclusion, we would like to present that tissue expansion was the most valuable procedure for scalp reconstruction.

        방위산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 스마트팩토리 발전방향 제언

        The purpose of this study is to propose the conceptual approach and the strategy of the Smart Factory utilization plan, which is called the future of manufacturing industry, for defense companies in defense & defense industries in order to prepare for The Fourth Industrial Revolution. Through this, we could find out how to utilize Smart Factory and develop direction for strengthening competitiveness of defense industry. The effects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the defense and defense industries will be reexamined and the possibility of infinite growth of the defense industry can be predicted by combining new technologies. In the defense industry, it is expected that the process improvement and efficiency will be enhanced and the productivity and management performance when the smart factory is applied and utilized. 본 연구에서는 제4차 산업혁명 시대를 대비하기 위한 국방분야 중 방위산업에 있어서 방산업체를 대상으로 제조업의 미래라 일컬어지는 스마트팩토리(Smart Factory) 활용방안 관련 각종 국내외 산업현장 사례와 다양한 문헌자료 등을 통해서 개념적 접근방법과 추진전략을 도출하였다. 이를 통해, 방위산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 스마트팩토리의 활용방안 및 발전방향을 모색할 수 있었다. 제4차 산업혁명이 국방 및 방위산업에 미칠 영향과 의의 등을 재조명하고, 새로운 신기술 접목을 통해 방위산업의 무한한 성장 가능성도 예측해 볼 수 있겠다. 방위산업에서 스마트팩토리 접목 및 활용 시에 공정개선과 효율성이 향상되어 생산성 및 경영성과도 신장하는 효과를 기대할 수 있겠으며, 각종 무기체계 제조 간에 소요되는 막대한 비용과 기간이 과거와 비교할 수 없을 정도로 현격히 절감될 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다.
